Walter L. Brazelton
ARAB - Walter Lee Brazelton, 64, died Friday at a Houston, Texas, hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Brazelton was a native of Madison County, retired from Woody Anderson Ford and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Morrison of Arab; two brothers, Bill Campbell and Ken Coleman, both of Huntsville; and two aunts and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Barbara Chaney
SYLVANIA - Barbara ''Bob Chaney, 62, died Saturday. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Owens officiating.
Burial will be in Smith Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Roland Chaney; one daughter, Teresa Davis of Hawaii; two sons, J.W. White of Iowa and James Chaney of Sylvania; four sisters, Ruth Owens of Sumiton, Christine Tinker of Bryant, Shirley Smith of Trenton, Ga., and Jimmie Durham of Henagar; and 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Shelby R. Cloud Sr.
Shelby Ray Cloud Sr., 56, of 418 Willie Lemley Road in Huntsville died Sunday in Hazel Green . The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Cloud Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Eades officiating.
New Hope Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include two sons, Shelby Ray Cloud Jr. of Huntsville and Mark Lee Dale of Hazel Green ; two brothers, James Edward Cloud and Conward ODell Cloud Jr., both of Huntsville; one sister, Linda Faye Maples of Huntsville; and 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Beatrice Dean
ROGERSVILLE - Beatrice Dean, 91, died Saturday at an Athens hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Rogersville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Pat Driskal officiating.
Burial was in Civitan Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home of Athens in charge.
Mrs. Dean was a native of Lauderdale County, a homemaker and member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Thomas A. Dean of Athens; one brother, Charles A. Patton of Florence; two sisters, Elsie Province of Rogersville and Hazel Smallwood of Tuscumbia; and four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Lucille G. Farmer
Lucille G. Farmer, 76, of Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South with the Rev. Charles Freeman and the Rev. David Blakeney officiating. A graveside service was to be today at 3 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Farmer lived in the Huntsville area 33 years.
Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Farmer of Brentwood, Tenn.; three sons, Aubrey Jack Farmer Jr. of Brentwood, Jerry Edward Farmer of Murphreesboro, Tenn., and James Willis Farmer of Huntsville; one daughter, JoAnn Reagon of Huntsville; one sister, Marjorie I. Gilliland of Boaz; two brothers, Ralph Gilliland of Guntersville and Welton Gilliland of Centre; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hillwood Baptist Church building fund.
Worley L. Hancock
SECTION - Worley Lee Hancock, 86, died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Section Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Edgar, the Rev. Larry Haynes and the Rev. M.D. Bryant officiating.
Burial will be in Old Sardis Cemetery.
Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Hancock.
Survivors include one daughter, Ella Rae Dukes of Section; four sons, Glendale Hancock, Winston Hancock, Winford Hancock and Bobby Hancock, all of Section; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Nellie G. Hargiss
SECTION - Nellie Geneva Hargiss, 75, died Saturday. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Section Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Earl Thompson officiating.
Burial was to be in Langston Cemetery.
Mrs. Hargiss was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Hargiss.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest David Hargiss and Robert Hargiss, both of Section; two sisters, Catherine Hancock of Scottsboro and Essie Ward of Oklahoma; one brother, Gordon Dukes of Section; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Milford Harvell
ALBERTVILLE - Milford Harvell, 75, died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Marvin Brock officiating.
Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Joppa.
Mr. Harvell had been a truck driver more than 50 years.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy Harvell of Cullman and Gary Harvell and Paul Harvell, both of Hartselle; one daughter, Laurel Vest Hummel of Hartselle; one brother, Billy Ray Harvell of Pearl, Miss.; one sister, Louise Rousey of Arab; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flois Hixson
Flois Ray Drake Hixson, 82, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral was Sunday at Moss-Terry Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Green officiating.
Burial was in Flint Creek Cemetery in Cullman County.
Mrs. Hixson was a nurse.
Survivors include two daughters, Tina Ford of Huntsville and Janis DeLorme of Arab; four brothers, Eugene Ray of Cullman, Willard Ray of Little Rock, Ark., Oxford Ray of Vinemont and Artis Ray of Decatur; five sisters, Marie Moore and Jewel Yarbrough, both of Birmingham, Pansy Mardis of Vinemont, Oleta Wilhite of Hartselle and Myra Hill of Decatur; and four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth H. McCord
NEW MARKET - Ruth Hillis McCord, 80, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Concord Cemetery with Tommy Rosenblum officiating.
Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green is in charge of burial.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas McCord of New Market; four sons, Bob McCord, Ray McCord, Roy McCord and Danny McCord, all of New Market; three sisters, Minnie Wiseman of McMinnville, Tenn., Mae Ward of New Market and Sadie Sharp of Huntsville; one brother, Walter Hillis of New Market; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Clarabel McDonald
GUNTERSVILLE - Clarabel Isdell McDonald, 96, of 602 Terrace Lake Village died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Homer McDonald; one sister, Peggy Patterson of Albertville; and one brother, Robert Hoyt Isdell of Albertville.
Maggie D. Millwood
EVA - Maggie Dee Millwood, 86, died Saturday at a Falkville nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Hampton officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Millwood was a member of the Pentecostal Church and had taken in more than 27 foster children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Howard Millwood.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Stover and Jeri Bailey, both of Cullman; two brothers, Orice Wright of Falkville and Gene Wright of Albertville; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Elva Novotnak
Elva Novotnak of Huntsville died Monday at a local nursing home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Novotnak of Huntsville; one daughter, Maria N. Starratt of Glen Carbon, Ill.; one son, James F. Novotnak of Owasso, Okla.; one sister, Delores Genesio of Flourissant, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Sherry D. Thomas
IDER - Sherry Dee McCurdy Thomas, 48, died Sunday. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar.
Burial will be in Fuller Cemetery in Ider.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by one son, Chris Thomas.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Hope Rooks of Pisgah; two sisters, Sylvia Ivey of Henagar and Patsy Townson of Ider; four brothers, Willie Earl McCurdy of Hixson, Tenn., and Buddy McCurdy, Gerald McCurdy and Jerry McCurdy, all of Ider; and one grandson.
Visitation was to be today at the funeral home.
Chloe W. Tucker
Chloe W. Tucker, 54, of Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Church of the Nativity with the Rev. William S. Wade officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Tucker supported or was a member of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild, the Womens Guild of the Huntsville Museum of Art, the Gothic Guild, the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, Randolph School, the Community Ballet Association and the Huntsville Historic Preservation District Association. She was an active member of the Church of the Nativity and had worked on the Huntsville Hospital Second Century Endowment Campaign.
Survivors include her husband, William Daniel Tucker of Huntsville; one daughter, Julie Tucker Wilson of Tuscaloosa; three sons, William Daniel Tucker III of Charlottesville, Va., Steven Michael Tucker of Hollywood, Fla., and Edwin Lee Tucker of Huntsville; her mother, Irene M. Walling of Huntsville, and seven grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrews School, 290 Quintard Road, Sewannee, Tenn., 37375.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church.
