William V. Adcock
TUSCUMBIA - William Vann Adcock, 40, died Friday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Morris Funeral Home in Tuscumbia with the Rev. Jeff Noblit officiating.
Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Adcock, a native of Huntsville, was a salesman with Riverchase Motorsports and was a member of First Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. "Bill" Adcock of Tuscumbia; one brother, Elton Todd of Harvest; two sisters, Denise Adcock of Muscle Shoals and Tabitha Adcock of Tuscumbia; his best friend, Paul McGill; and two nieces.
Visitation was to be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ronnie L. Bowen
ATTALLA - Ronnie Lee Bowen, 41, of 2875 Duck Springs Road died Sunday in Guntersville. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial was to be in Martling Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Francis Burgess of Attalla and Charles Bowen of Florida; one sister, Rita Burgess of Guntersville; and one brother, Roger Bowen of Attalla.
James W. Butler
BROWNSBORO - James Weldon Butler, 81, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Charles Washburn and James Ashworth officiating.
Burial will be in Paint Rock Cemetery.
Mr. Butler, a native of Woodville, was retired from the State of Alabama Department of Transportation. He had lived in Madison County 18 years, and was a member of Garth Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Butler of Brownsboro; one sister, Hilda B. Smith of Vicksburg, Miss.; and one grandson.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Nelson Casey
RAINSVILLE - Nelson Casey, 49, died Monday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Browns Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Killian and Randy Miller officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Casey; his stepmother, Faye Casey of Rainsville; one sister, Linda Wells of Rainsville; one half-sister, Tammie Bailey of Rainsville; one stepsister, Dianne Wilson of Rainsville; and three stepbrothers, Billy Pippin, Ricky Pippin and Ronnie Blackwell, all of Rainsville.
Pamela A. Gibson
TONEY - Pamela Ann Gibson, 36, of Jeff Road died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at graveside with the Rev. Alan Howard officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home of Fayetteville, Tenn., in charge.
Mrs. Gibson, a native of Madison County, worked at Parents Choice Child Development Center.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Dale Gibson of Toney; one daughter, Sara Beth Gibson of Toney; one son, Brian Dale Gibson of Toney; two sisters, Patricia Ryan of Phoenix and Phillis Prince of Friendwood, Texas; one half-sister, Sharon Tower of South Deerfield, Mass.; and three brothers, Roger Parrow of Naas, Ireland, George Parrow of Newport News, Va., and Paul Parrow of Elkhart, Indiana.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green .
Leona M. Harris
GARLAND, Texas - Leona M. Harris, 82, of 4241 Upland Way died Friday at a Garland nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 11 a.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris was a Baptist, a retired technician and a lifelong resident of Madison County.
Survivors include one son, Cecil C. Harris of Garland; one daughter, Ruth Bragwell of Rockwood, Mich.; one sister, Beatrice Chamberlain of Huntsville; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Association.
Estelle W. Meador
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Estelle Woodall Meador, 93, died June 3 here. The funeral will be in Charlotte, N.C., with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville.
Mrs. Meador grew up in Huntsville and graduated from Wills School, Maryville College in Tennessee and Bowling Green Business University. She also lived in Nashville and Charlotte, where she was active in Girl Scouts, church and volunteer activities. She moved to Maryland to be near her daughter.
Survivors include her daughter, state Sen. Jennie Margaret Meador Forehand of Rockville; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Chauncey T. Mitchell
ARAB - Chauncey Thompson Mitchell Sr., 87, of Arab, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at the Arab Church of Christ.
Burial will be in the Brookwood Cemetery with Gober Funeral Home of Arab directing.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Mitchell; two sons, Walter T. Mitchell of Arab and Chauncey Thompson Mitchell Jr. of Lakewood, Fla.; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
William L. Owens
William Lytelle Owens, 65, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Owens, a native of Calhoun County, had lived in Huntsville since 1957 and had worked as a computer specialist for MICOM. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1952.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Owens of Huntsville; one son, Stan Berry of Huntsville; one daughter, Susan Burke of Menomenee Falls, Wis.; one brother, Alvin Owens of Jacksonville, Ala.; one daughter-in-law, Gail Berry of Huntsville; one son-in-law, Pat Burke of Menomenee Falls; a special cousin, Rufus Watts of Gadsden; and five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care.
Floyd A. Wilkerson
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. - Floyd Allen Wilkerson, 64, of Park Court died Saturday at a Michigan hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Tenn., with the Revs. Hubert Smith and Larry Atchley officiating.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
Mr. Wilkerson was a native of Madison County and was a job setter for General Motors.
Survivors include his wife, Charistine Taylor Wilkerson of Madison Heights; two sons, James Wilkerson of Winchester, Ky., and Bill Wilkerson of Center Line, Mich.; three daughters, Deborah Oxendine and Lisa Boyd, both of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Loretta Beskner of Royal Oak, Mich.; two brothers, Charles Wilkerson of Hazel Green and Robert Wilkerson of Alabama; four sisters, Daisy Duboise of Fayetteville, Geneva Seymour of Alabama, Lorene Burton of Lynchburg, Tenn., and Ann Benedict of Mt. Clemmons, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
