Arthur R. Berman
SARASOTA, Fla. - Arthur Roy Berman, 89, died Thursday. The funeral will be Sunday at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
Johns-Ridouts Southside Chapel in Birmingham is in charge of burial.
Mr. Berman was a native of Birmingham and a longtime resident of Gadsden.
Survivors include his wife, Leonore Berman of Sarasota; one son, Barry F. Berman of Huntsville; two daughters, Shelley Berman of Pensacola, Fla., and Sandra B. Berman of Gadsden; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Maxwell D. Dyar
BOAZ - Maxwell Daniel Dyar, 71, of 1633 Dyar Drive died Thursday at a Birmingham hospital. The graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery.
Carr Funeral Home of Boaz is in charge of burial.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Dyar; one daughter, Paula Mize of Huntsville; one son, Stephen Dyar of Arab; two stepsons, Rick Lamar of Jasper and Tony Lamar of Dora; two sisters, Wilma Mueller of Boaz and Verna Jean Huckaby of Huntsville; two brothers, Joseph Dyar of Arab and Fredrick Dyar of Boaz; and one grandchild.
Helen J. Eads
GUNTERSVILLE - Helen Jennette Eads, 54, of 1474 Pleasant Hill Road died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Grassy Mountain Holiness Church.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Eads; one daughter, Melanie Ivey of Horton; two sons, Michael Eads of Albertville and Jeffery Eads of Guntersville; mother, Helen Geckles of Guntersville; two sisters, Fae Mangum and Lorraine Vandiver, both of Guntersville; four brothers, Johnnie Geckles, Jimmy Geckles and Jackie Geckles, all of Grant, and Milton Geckles of Guntersville; and seven grandchildren.
Nina R. Eller
ALBERTVILLE - Nina Ruth Eller, 79, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Albertville Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Timbes and the Rev. Sam Huff- stutler officiating.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Eller was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis A. Eller.
Survivors include one son, Mark Brandon Eller of Grant; two daughters, Margie Head and Ginger Garvin, both of Albertville; one brother, R. Ree Woodham of Albertville; one sister, Avis Sanford of Albertville; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mertice Gilliam
ARAB - Mertice Gilliam, 76, of Arab died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab. The graveside service will be today at noon at Pine Haven Cemetery in Hollywood.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
James H. Haga
MADISON James Henry Haga, 67, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. David McMichael and the Rev. Gene Pugh officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Haga was a retired mana- ger for Kroger and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Haga of Madison; two sons, Robert Haga of Decatur and Ken Haga of Huntsville; and two grandchildren and one niece.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3000 Bob Wallace Ave., Huntsville, 35805; to Hospice Family Care, 2225 Drake Ave. Suite 8, Huntsville, 35805; or to the Mount Zion Baptist Church building fund, 228 Mount Zion Road, Huntsville, 35806.
His body will be at the church 30 minutes before the funeral.
Tracy H. Hall
LACEYS SPRING - Tracy Henderson Hall, 41, of 126 Given Cove Road died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Forrest Home Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Hall; one daughter, April N. Hall of Laceys Spring; one son, Justin T. Hall of Laceys Spring; parents, Charles and Margaret Hall of Attalla; and one sister, Angela Whitt of Huntsville.
Michael B. Harris
Michael Bryan Harris, 33, of Huntsville died Friday. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home East with Brother Robbie White officiating.
Entombment will be in Twickenham Masoleum.
Mr. Harris was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and the Fathers Rights Association and was on the board of directors of Family Services.
Survivors include his father, Ernest Gagne of Waynesboro, Ga.; his mother, Diane Harris of Huntsville; one daughter, Erin Harris of Huntsville; and one sister, Donna Scott of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fathers Rights Association.
Gladys C. Honeycutt
MADISON - Gladys Carpenter Honeycutt, 94, died Thursday at a Madison nursing home. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Grenada, Miss.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada.
Mrs. Honeycutt attended Blue Mountain College, was a member of University Baptist Church in Madison and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Grenada, where she once lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Honeycutt Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Roy L. Honeycutt Jr. of Louisville, Ky., and John Honeycutt of Madison; one sister, Mary Harpole of Grenada; and five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two nieces.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles W. Lassiter
Charles W. Lassiter, 67, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Don Tanner officiating.
Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park.
Mr. Lassiter was a Navy veteran and had worked for the U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal for 33 years. He attended Redstone Bicentennial Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Lassiter of Huntsville; one daughter, Diane Tanner of Birmingham; three sons, Michael Lassiter of Grant, Jerry Lassiter of Montgomery and Brian Lassiter of Birmingham; two sisters, Glenna Faye Arnold of Lafayette, Ind., and Virginia Dean Hatch of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Rex Don Lassiter of Conway, Ark.; and five grandchildren.
Betty Marcum
PETERSBURG, Tenn. - Betty Marcum, 96, of 57 Twin Springs Road died Thursday at a Fayetteville, Tenn., nursing home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. Bob Dunivan officiating.
McCauley Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Katherine Rice of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, John R. Marcum of Petersburg and Virgil Marcum of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Loney Puckett of Clay City, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Charles R. McDaniel
ALBERTVILLE - Charles Ray McDaniel, 66, of 9405 U.S. 431 died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie McDaniel; two daughters, Sherry Webb of Guntersville and Cindy McDaniel of Michigan; two sons, Donnie McDaniel of Michigan and Tony McDaniel of Huntsville; one sister, Linda Payne of Grant; two brothers, Larry McDaniel of Boaz and Glen McDaniel of Price ville; and four grandchildren.
William McDonald II
William Campbell McDonald II, 48, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. There will be no funeral.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl McDonald of Huntsville; one son, William C. McDonald III of Huntsville; one brother, George McDonald of Nashville; his father, Byron B. McDonald of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and his mother, Mary Lou McDonald of Hendersonville.
Clark B. McKnight
MADISON - Clark Brooks McKnight, 94, died Tuesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was Thursday at Royal Palm Cemetery in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Spry Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. McKnight was a native of Crown Point, Ind. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille McKnight.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia L. Rapaich of Huntsville; two stepsons, Don Skolds of Braidwood, Ill., and Bruce Skolds of Peru, Ind.; one sister, Olive Max of Indiana; and eight step-grandchildren.
Charles D. Medlen Sr.
Charles Donald Medlen Sr., 79, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Tommy Rosenblum and Charles Washburn officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Medlen was a native of Madison County, a World War II veteran and a member of the Church of Christ. He retired from Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Hall Medlen of Huntsville; two sons, Charles D. Medlen Jr. of Greenville, S.C., and Rickey Medlen of Meridianville; three brothers, John Medlen Jr. of Guntersville, Robert Medlen of New Market and Leroy Medlen of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Ailene Cope of Huntsville and Charlene Wages of Sheffield; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ivy M. Pencola
Ivy May Pencola, 80, of Huntsville died Aug. 28 at a local hospital. The memorial service will be today at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pencola was a member of the Womens Army Corps in World War II.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Lynne Patton of Pennsylvania; one sister, Dorothy Marshall of California; one brother, Vernon Wing of Michigan; and four grandchildren one great-grandchild and two nieces and three nephews.

Fred L. Richardson Sr.
PETERSBURG, Tenn. - Fred L. Richardson Sr., 81, of 305 Town St. died Thursday at a Fayetteville, Tenn., nursing home. The funeral will be today at 10:30 a.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. Bob Spencer, the Rev. Frank Edwards and the Rev. Charles Brown officiating.
Mr. Richardson was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., and a member of Hannahs Gap Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Ruth Richardson of Petersburg; five sons, Fred Richardson Jr., Larry Richardson, Kenneth Richardson and Gerry Richardson, all of Petersburg, and Leon Richardson of Lewisburg, Tenn.; one brother, Billy Richardson of Belleville, Tenn.; one sister, Marjorie Rows of McMinnville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Alma Williams
Alma Annie Mae Williams, 84, of 4408 Judith Lane, Apt. 71-A, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at noon at Cullman City Cemetery with the Rev. Hobert Peake officiating.
