Beulah S. Beavers
SCOTTSBORO - Beulah Sally Garner Beavers, 95, died Sunday at a Bridgeport hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Rev. Johnny Fincher officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Cemetery in Hollywood.
Mrs. Beavers was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Scottsboro. She taught Sunday school for 40 years at the Baptist church in Bridgeport and served as a Pink Lady for several years at North Jackson Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, William ''Bill Beavers; one daughter, Kathleen Helton of Scottsboro; one son, Doyle Beavers of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister, Zona Gilliam of Bridgeport; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Teddy W. Cain
TONEY - Teddy Wayne Cain, 45, died Saturday at a Pulaski, Tenn. hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. George Waller officiating.
Burial will be in Murphy Hill Church Cemetery.
Mr. Cain was a native of Morgan County and was a contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Clark Cain; one son, Jeremy Brown of Huntsville; his parents, Lemar Cain and Betty Smith Cain of Glencoe; two sisters, Nancy Partington of Morgan City and Sheila Sampson of Anniston; three brothers, John Phillip Cain of Glencoe, Eddie Lemar Cain of Morgan City and Jack Cain of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Felton D. Cantrell
Felton Davis Cantrell, 79, of Huntsville died Saturday at his home. The graveside service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with John T. McClesky officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cantrell was a native of Madison County and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Lema Cantrell; one son, T.W. Cantrell of Charleston, W.V.; four sisters, Mavis Johnson of Hazel Green, Geroma Carden of Scottsboro, Cecile Hastings of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Mytice Wilson of Huntsville; one half-brother, Roy Cantrell of Hazel Green ; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Joe D. Chambless
SCOTTSBORO - Joe D. Chambless, 65, died Saturday at his home. A graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro with the Revs. Rick Stevens and Dr. Joan Porter officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Ann B. Chambless; one son, Heath Chambless of Scottsboro; and two sisters, Louise Swafford and Mona Hawkins, both of Gadsden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Scottsboro Public Library.
Charles R. Cheek
Charles Robert Cheek, 74, of Huntsville died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Mr. Cheek was a native of Chattanooga and had lived in Huntsville since 1963. He was retired from Chrysler and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Cheek; one daughter, Patricia Kamat of Overland Park, Kan.; one son, Daniel Cheek of Huntsville; one sister, Azell Coker of Chattanooga; one brother, Clyde F. Cheek of Chattanooga; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lillian I. Crim
BOAZ - Lillian Irene Crim, 76, of 8556 Alabama 179, died Friday at her home. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at New Union FCM Church.
Burial is in Red Apple Cemetery with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Dot Mayo of Boaz; one son, Hollis Crim of Arizona; one sister, Betty Morgan of Boaz; four brothers, Joe Rowan and Rev. J.P. Rowan, both of Boaz, Buford Rowan of Oneonta and G.W. Rowan of Altoona; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
James S. Ellard Jr.
LACEYS SPRING - James Shelby Ellard Jr., 70, died Saturday at his home. Twickenham Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Walt Hale
FYFFE - Walt Hale, 90, died Sunday. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Reachard officiating.
Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery.
Survivors include three sisters, Ethel Gilbert of Section, Dean Freeman of Scottsboro and Jean Woods of Sherman, Texas; one brother, Hub Hale of Section; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Bridgett L. Heard
ROSALIE - Bridgett Lashae Heard, infant daughter of Jason and Jana Heard of Rosalie, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The graveside service will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood with the Rev. Ron Hardeman officiating and Rudder Funeral Home of Stevenson in charge.
Other survivors include one sister, Breanna Heard of Rosalie; one brother, Brantley Heard of Rosalie; grandparents, Carl Edward and Janet Pritchett of Hollywood and Eldridge and Virginia Heard of Rosalie; and great-grandparents, Leda Pritchett of Hollywood and Albert and Millie Hammon of Scottsboro.
Zola M. Holcomb
RAINSVILLE - Zola Mae Holcomb, 83, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Jim Griffin and Kevin McCreless officiating.
Burial will be in Kirk Memorial Gardens.
Miss Holcomb was preceded in death by five sisters, Lilly Buff, Elizabeth Mills, Roberta Fossett, Eunice Anderson and Velma Holcomb.
Survivors include two special friends, Max and Shelby Crawford of Fyffe; and several nieces and nephews.
Carrie K. Jones
Carrie Kelley Jones, 76, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with ministers Jim Bliffen and Carl Malm officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Sylacauga and a resident of Huntsville since 1963. She was office manager and bookkeeper at Arnold Supply Company and was retired from the Army Missile Command. She was a member of Huntsville Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Jones Jr.; one daughter, Jennifer Jones Sutherland of Huntsville; one son, Charles L. Jones III of Huntsville; two sisters, Jewell Lynch of Tallapoosa County and Alice Liles of Sylacauga; and two granddaughters, Leslie Jones Cox and Cathy E. Jones, both of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Amos L. Kennemur
ANDERSON - Amos Leon Kennemur, 85, of Persimmon Tree Road, died Saturday at his residence. The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Chuck Hood officiating.
Burial is in Bethel Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home of Athens in charge.
Mr. Kennemur was a native of Limestone County, retired from the Soil Conservation Service after 26 years, and was the oldest elder at Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by one sister, Juanell Kennemur; and one brother, James Kennemer.
Survivors include his wife, Clarice Kennemur; one daughter, Tanis Hudson of Florence; two sons, Ted Kennemer and David Kennemur, both of Anderson; two sisters, Odene Griffin and Virginia Simmons, both of Locust Fork; two brothers, Paul Kennemur and Allen Kennemer, both of Birmingham; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Glentice McPherson
Glentice Lorraine Bailey McPherson, 69, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Thweatt officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta at 3 p.m. with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. McPherson was a native of Blountsville and a longtime resident of Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. McPherson Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Young of Huntsville; two sons, Donald Richard McPherson and Rodney Lee McPherson, both of Huntsville; one brother, Kenneth Bailey of Detroit; one sister, Dorothy White of Missouri; and six grandchildren.

Charlotte Ritchie
Charlotte Lenore North Ritchie, 71, of Huntsville died today at her home. A memorial service will be held later in Pennsylvania.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Ritchie was preceded in death by her husband, James Ritchie.
Survivors include four sons, Gerald Ritchie of Girard, Pa., James Ritchie, John Ritchie and Jeff Ritchie, all of Fairview, Pa.; two daughters, Becky Jo Wiest of Erie, Pa., and Charlotte Cook of Huntsville; her mother, Anna North of Edinboro, Pa.; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Gayle M. Scott
GARDENDALE - Gayle Morgan Scott, 56, died Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Randolph Scott.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle.
Wanda V. Slaton
ALBERTVILLE - Wanda Virginia Slaton, 72, died Saturday at a local hospital. The graveside service was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Memory Hill Cemetery with Bro. Raymond Cook officiating.
Albertville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Slaton was a retired secretary from McCord Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris C. Slaton; and three sisters, Willodine Westbrook, Nina Stephenson and Bonnie Lacy.
Survivors include one son, Joey Slaton of Albertville; two daughters, Jenny Sanders of Albertville and Salena Schuessler of Gulf Shores; one sister, Inada Lovell of Albertville; and seven grandchildren.
Julia A. Sparks
GUNTERSVILLE - Julia Alva Sparks, 100, of 881 Bow Range Road, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Carr Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Warrenton Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Sparks and William Sparks.
Survivors include one daughter, Julia Leach of Guntersville; three sons, Moses Sparks of Wisconsin, Terrell Sparks of Guntersville and Wilburn Sparks of Anniston; one sister, Lois Brown of Gadsden; and 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Willie Terrell
ALBERTVILLE - Willie Terrell, 83, died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. High Baptist Church with the Revs. Charlie Bowen, Verlon Stiefel and Lawayne Levans officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. High Baptist Church Cemetery with Albertville Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Florene Terrell; one daughter, Anneve Hard of Albertville; two sisters, Sarah Johnson of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., and Lillie Harris of Albertville; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Bettie R. Wilborn
SECTION - Bettie Ruth Wilborn, 62, died Sunday at a Jasper, Tenn. hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Welcome Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Edwin Dean, Ronald Patterson, Charles Hilley, Ronald Patterson and Gorden Dukes officiating.
Burial will be in Haigwood Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two sisters, Berline Stiefel and Burma Yates, both of Section; four brothers, Hubert Wilborn, Eskel Wilborn, Wilson Wilborn and Willard Wilborn, all of Section; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth Roman
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - Ruth Roman, who starred opposite Gary Cooper and Errol Flynn and survived the Andrea Doria wreck at sea, died in her sleep Thursday. She was 75.
In 1956, she and her 3-year-old son were returning from Italy aboard the luxury passenger liner Andrea Doria when it was struck by another ship. More than fifty people died and 760 survived after the ship went down.
The Boston-born actress got her start in community plays at age 9. She attended drama school and later moved to Hollywood.
Roman appeared in some minor films before her big break in Stanley Kramers 1949 "Champion," which featured Kirk Douglas as an unscrupulous boxer.
