Helen M. Ables
TONEY - Helen Marie Ables, 64, died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. Gallant Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Ables was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a housewife and a member of Carters Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Flenoy Ables; two daughters, Cheryl Geske of Toney and Carl Sims of Ardmore; two sons, Ronald Ables and Bobby Ables, both of Toney; five sisters, Margie Marrs and Robbie Toone, both of Toney, Dorothy Mullins and Janell Heard, both of Ardmore, and Betty Kolle of Hazel Green ; two brothers, William Neeley of Hazel Green and Eugene Neeley of Nashville; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James D. Alsup Sr.
TRUSSVILLE - James Douglas Alsup Sr., 88, died Sunday. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wetumpka Cemetery with Ridouts Trussville Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Alsup was a former resident of Huntsville. He worked for IBM where he was a managing senior engineer in the Apollo Space Program.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Welden ''Patsy Alsup; two sons, James Douglas Alsup Jr. of Atlanta and Charles Welden Alsup of McLean, Va.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 900 18 St. S., Birmingham, AL 35205.

Louise I. Comley
FORT PAYNE - Louise Idell Comley, 85, died Friday. The funeral will be Wednesday in Brookfield, Wis.
Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery with W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Tabor of Utah; three sons, David Comley of Minnesota, Glenn Comley of Texas and Robert Comley of Rainsville; and seven grandchildren.

Talmage E. Culbert
GUNTERSVILLE - Talmage Ed ''Tab Culbert, 72, of 801 OBrig Ave., died Saturday in a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Culbert; two daughters, Linda Stover of Albertville and Laura Boggus of Guntersville; one son, Keith Culbert of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Katelyn B. Goforth
Katelyn Brook Goforth, 9, of Huntsville died Thursday at Childrens Hospital in St. Louis. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville with the Rev. Hal Morse of St. Louis officiating.
Gebken-Benz Mortuary in St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
Katelyn was born in Huntsville Feb. 5, 1990. She was a fourth-grade student at Whitesburg Elementary. Battling cystic fibrosis, she was North Alabamas Champion Child for Childrens Hospital Miracle Network and was active in promoting the Great Strides event in the community.
Survivors include her parents, Joseph B. and Denise Goforth; one sister, Meghan R. Goforth of Huntsville; her grandparents, Maxine Smith of Huntsville, and Joseph and Nancy Goforth of Gulfport, Miss.; and many special friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20814; Give Kids the World, 210 S. Bass Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746m or to Magic Moments of Alabama, c/o Childrens Hospital, 1600 7th Ave. S., Birmingham, AL 35233.

Dennis C. Grubb Jr.
DECATUR - Dennis Carlton Grubb Jr., 25, died Saturday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Basham Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Grubb was a native of Morgan County.
Survivors include one son, Christopher Charles Blaze Grubb of Hanceville; his mother, Carolyn Ortega of Decatur; his father, Dennis Carlton Grubb Sr.; and two brothers, Billy Joe Norris of Hartselle and Frank Dean Massey of Cullman.
Visitation was to be today starting at 2 p.m. at 818 3rd Ave. S.E. in Decatur.

Walter Haag
Walter Haag, 85, of Wyndham Park in Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Dr. Richard Lessmann officiating.
Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Rev. Haag was retired from active pastoral ministry but continued to touch many lives through his Bible teaching and telecare ministry.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Haag of Florida, Margaret Rivera of Virginia and Lois Haag of Wisconsin; two sons, Joel Haag of Oregon and John Haag of Texas; one brother, Carl Haag of Wisconsin; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Bethesda Lutheran Church of Watertown West, Wisconsin or to Dakota Lutheran Boys Ranch of Minot, N.D.

Elwood E. Haggard
NASHVILLE - Elwood Ernest Haggard, 79, of Nashville, died Saturday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with John White officiating.
Burial will be in Legg Cemetery.
Mr. Haggard was a native of Limestone County, an Army veteran of World War II and a retired landscaper.
Survivors include his stepmother, Iler Haggard of Manchester, Tenn.; one son, Mickey J. Haggard of Dickson, Tenn.; three daughters, Judy Dotson of Pagram, Tenn., Joyce Tucker and Janice Blankenship, both of Athens; one brother, Don Haggard of Manchester; eight sisters, Martha Ann ''Doddle Adams of Athens, Haddie Wilson, Janie Bell Elkins, both of Madison, Arfinie Caissie, Argia ''Mossie Flora, both of Huntsville, Viola ''Tee Shores, Earnisten ''Bill Uselton and Aldie Jones, all of Manchester; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Nils O. Henriksen
Nils O. Henriksen, 94, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Bishop Jed Speth officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Henriksen was a native of Oslo, Norway and had lived in Huntsville since 1988. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
Survivors include one son, Howard Henriksen of Huntsville; and five grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alvin McCrary Sr.
Alvin McCrary Sr., 68, of 3234 Delacado Drive died Thursday at home. The funeral was today at Pine Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Ronald McCrary officiating.
Burial was in Indian Creek Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine K. McCrary; four daughters, Constance Whitman, Sheila McCrary, Vivian Barnes and Alisha McCrary, all of Huntsville; four sons, Erwin McCrary and Alvin McCrary, both of Huntsville, Ronald McCrary of Austell, Ga., and Virgil McCrary of Birmingham; three sisters, Virginia Harness of Chicago, Lucille Garner and Mattie Moore, both of Harvest; one brother, Eldridge McCrary of Huntsville; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Johnny A. Moran
ATHENS - Johnny Albert Moran, 76, of Browns Ferry Road died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Craft officiating.
Burial will be in Oneal Cemetery.
Mr. Moran was a native of Limestone County, retired from Daniels Construction Co. of Batesville, Ark., was an Army veteran of World War II and was preceded in death by one son, Ray Albert Moran.
Survivors include his wife, Verta Moran; one son, Alywin Moran of Athens; five daughters, Judy Farris of Huntsville, Jane McMahan of Roopville, Ga., Peggy Moran of Tanner, Deanna Hill and Rocky Bowen, all of Athens; two brothers, Ertie Moran of Florida and James Moran of Rogersville; four sisters, Frances Macklin of Lakeland, Fla., Juanita Mills of Macon, Ga., Nella Faye Johnson of Valdosta, Ga. and Doris Hughes of Auburndale, Fla.; 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Lois M. Story
DECATUR - Lois M. Story, 90, died Saturday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle with the Rev. Phillip Sessions officiating.
Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Story was a native of Morgan County, a housewife and member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include four sons, Gilman Story of Decatur, J.T. Story of Hartselle, Charles Story of Baton Rouge and Jerry Story of Athens; one daughter, Faye Beaver of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; one brother, Simon Speakman of Birmingham; three sisters, Lucy Roberts, Julia Wallace and Virginia Sims, all of Hartselle; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
