William R. Evans
ATHENS - William Raymond Evans, 67, of 1418 East Elm St. died Monday at a local hospital. There will be a private funeral.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Inita Evans of Athens; two daughters, Peggy Wise of Athens and Lita Green of Ardmore, Ala.; one brother, Jerry Wayne Evans of Anderson; two sisters, Nancy Willing and Gloria Warner, both of Anderson, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Dosie F. Grunow
GURLEY - Dosie Fultz Grunow, 87, died Monday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Erskine Williams and the Rev. David Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Grunow was a native of Tracy City, Tenn., and spent most her life in Madison, Tenn. She was a member of Keel Mountain Free Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Grunow.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Gamble of Gurley; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Opal J. Hilley
ALBERTVILLE - Opal Jean Hilley, 61, died Saturday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Albertville Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Howard Westmoreland officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Hilley of Albertville; one son, Ladon Hilley of Albertville; one daughter, Melissa Kelly of Albertville; and four grandchildren.
Teresa D. Ivey
Teresa Denise Ivey, 39, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Ivey was a native of Macon, Ga., and had lived in Huntsville 10 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Michael W. Ivey of Huntsville; her mother, Betty V. Bloodworth of Huntsville; one sister, Cynthia Stafford of Huntsville; and one niece.
Janice Kelly
ANDERSON - Janice Estelle Chapman Kelly, 60, of 8132 Hickory Ridge Road died Monday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rav Blankenship officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home of Athens in charge.
Mrs. Kelly was a member of the church.
Survivors include one daughter, Anita McAdams Nye of Anderson; one sister, Betty Long of Anderson; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Willie D. Key Jr.
Willie D. "Yankee" Key Jr., 35, of Huntsville died Friday. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Decatur with Dr. Lynne Herring officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Memorial Gardens with Reynolds Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Key was a native of Brunswick, Maine, a graduate of J.O. Johnson High School and a Gulf War veteran.
Survivors include his parents, Willie D. Key Sr. and Ernestine Sutherlin Key, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Justina Butler of Huntsville and Detrea McLaurin of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and grandmother, Ida M. Key of Decatur.
Ozella Kilpatrick
BOAZ - Ozella Kilpatrick, 84, of 435 McVille Road died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Union Methodist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
Survivors include a son, Wendell Kilpatrick of Guntersville; a daughter, Bonnie K. Beck of Boaz; six brothers, Chester Bright, Joseph Bright and Harold Bright, all of Boaz, W.E. Bright of Albertville, Bobby H. Bright of Anniston and Truman Bright of Tenn.; three sisters, Viola Brown and Faye Frazier, both of Boaz, and Melba Cambron of Anniston; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Marion N. Polasik
TRINITY - Marion Nicholas Polasik, 77, died Friday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Culotta officiating.
Shelton Funeral Home of Decatur is in charge of burial.
Mr. Polasik was a native of Wisconsin and a World War II and Korean War Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly L. Polasik of Trinity; two sons, Christopher Polasik of Oletha, Kansas, and Paul Polasik of Decatur; two daughters, Mary Polasik of Houston and Jean Hand of Trinity; one brother, Paul Polasik of Rogers, Ark.; one sister, Rita Maersch of West Allis, Wis.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
Elizabeth A. Sasser
LUTTS, Tenn. - Elizabeth Ann Sasser, 65, died Saturday at a Florence hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens with Bill Hall and Joe Olsen officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Sasser was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a third grade teacher at Athens Bible School for 27 years.
Survivors include her husband, James Wesley Sasser of Lutts; two sons, James Whittle Sasser of Appleton, Wis., and Timothy Quinn Sasser of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Jimona Ann Maravilla of Republic, Mo., Tami Gay Bean of Parker, Colo., and Jori Lyn Stringer of Fort Collins, Colo.; one sister, Barbara Gayle Tuggle of Grant; and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Clyde Siltanen
DECATUR - Clyde ''Wayne'' Siltanen, 68, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Siltanen was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, attended the Colorado School of Mines, earned a master's degree at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, was an Army captain during the Korean era, was retired from Wolverine Tube and was employed by Reynolds Metals.
Survivors include his wife, Ann B. Siltanen; four sons, Jeffrey Wayne Siltanen of Panama City, Fla., Bill Hall of Birmingham, Dan Hall of Marietta, Ga., and James Hall of Denver; one daughter, Donna Mims of Clanton; one sister, Josie Sailord of Denver; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
Richard P. Smith
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Richard Payton Smith, 56, of 2 Lori Lane died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Russell and the Rev. Barney Rickman officiating.
Burial will be in Stewarts Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was a native of West Palm Beach, Fla., and owned and operated Richard's Photography in Fayetteville and Advance Diesel Service in Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Moore Smith of Fayetteville; one son, Jay Smith of Smyrna, Tenn.; his mother, Margaret Vanzant Smith of Sylvester, Ga.; and one brother, Clayton Smith of Sylvester.
Memorial donations may be made to the Park City Baptist Church Library or Youth Department.
Dorothy T. Stewart
MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Dorothy Trapp Stewart, 76, died Sunday at a Memphis, Tenn., hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Charlie Britnell officiating.
Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Stewart was formerly of Russellville, a housewife, a member of the Church of Christ and was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Trapp.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Trapp, Howard Ray Trapp and Harry Trapp, all of Russellville; three daughters, Wavolene Rye of Hamilton, Marie Krieg of Meridianville and Sandra Gilroy of Millington, Tenn.; one brother, Bill Elkins of Decatur; one sister, Opal Wilson of Gurley; and 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
