Clara L. Brown
HENAGAR - Clara Lillian Williamson Brown, 86, died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim First Congregational Methodist Church in Browntown with the Rev. Bill Lackey and the Rev. Gary Baswell officiating.
Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens with Rainsville Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Pilgrim First Congregational Methodist Church, which she joined in 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Brown; and one son, Boyd Brown.
Survivors include one daughter, Myrvle Camp of Henagar; and three grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Harold M. Brown
Harold M. Brown, 79, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Philip D. Brown and Glenn R. Brown, both of Huntsville; three daughters, Cheryl B. Storrs of Guntersville, Cathy B. Skipworth of Madison and Marilyn B. Fowler of Huntsville; two brothers, Dr. John M. Brown of Oklahoma City and Lillard T. Brown of Nashville; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
Horace E. Brown Sr.
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Horace E. Brown Sr., 65, died Tuesday. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Mitchell officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Laura J. Brown of Lawrenceville; three daughters, Janice M. Brown and April I. Golgart, both of Lawrenceville, and Bridget L. Brown of Dunwoody, Ga.; two sons, Horace E. Brown II of Lawrenceville and Norman O. Brown of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Robert H. Brown of Conyers and Arlyn Brown of Huntsville; one sister, Norma Jones of Huntsville; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be Friday at noon at the funeral home.

Thomas M. Bruce
CROSSVILLE - Thomas Max Bruce, 66, of 5211 County Road 28 died Friday at his home. The funeral was Sunday at Crossville Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Keith Dodd and the Rev. Willis Kelly officiating.
Burial was in Kilpatrick Cemetery.
Mr. Bruce was a retired carpenter and a member of Crossville First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Bruce.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Prady Bruce; three daughters, Karen Holcomb of Crossville, and Paula Butler and Allison Bruce, both of Birmingham; one son, Thomas Max Bruce Jr. of Guntersville; and six grandchildren.
Donations may be sent to Hospice of Marshall County.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Verdie Burson
PINSON - Verdie Burson, 87, of 5517 Roberts Drive died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial will be in Mount Flat Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Buddy Burson of Birmingham; two daughters, Jadell Dunn of Pinson and Peggy Hollis of Boaz; one brother, Louie Worley of Rainsville; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Fannie J. Collins
Fannie Julia Collins, 63, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Oscar L. Montgomery Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Lester Collins of Huntsville; one daughter, Valerie Ross of Huntsville; three sons, Alvin Collins of Huntsville, Eric Collins of Madison and Seth Collins of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Ola King of Las Vegas; and 15 grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Lois Dehart
FORT PAYNE - Lois Dehart, 74, died Tuesday. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Terry Dehart and Donny Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in Free Hill Cemetery in Rosalie.
Mrs. Dehart was a member of the Family Worship Center in Fort Payne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Dehart; one daughter, Pat Thompson; and one son, Lester Dehart.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Faye Cross of Bryant; four sons, Rev. Richard Earl Dehart of Reidsville, N.C., Rev. Bobby Gene Dehart of Flat Rock, Ala., Rev. Roger Lee Dehart of Rossville, Ga., and Rev. Terry Wayne Dehart of Fort Payne; one sister, Louise Duncan of Dutton; one brother, Edward Ray Kibble of Dutton; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Les Deweese
NEW MARKET - Les Deweese, 76, of Hurricane Road died Tuesday at a Fayetteville, Tenn., nursing home. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. Horace Smith Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Plevna.
Mr. Deweese was a native of Madison County and a retired farmer.
Survivors include one sister, Ruthie Holmes of New Market; one brother, Will Dweese of Elora, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Aleana T. Jones
Aleana Tanner Jones, 64, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church with Dr. William T. Gladys officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Horace W. Jones of Ellenwood, Ga.; her father and stepmother, Lee and Mary Edith Tanner of Huntsville; one sister, Ella Gardner of Newport News, Va.; one brother, Ellis "Joe" Tanner; and one grandchild.
Mary L. Lanier
Mary Louise Lanier, 76, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Ms. Lanier earned a nursing certificate from the New York Medical Training School and worked at Teledyne Brown Engineering as a dietician assistant.
Survivors include one daughter, Sakeena Lanier King of Huntsville; two sons, Levorne Moore and Eugene Moore, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Martha Lanier and Ethel Lanier Jackson, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Willis Lanier of Huntsville and Johnnie R. Lanier of Madison; and 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Loretta G. Luker
BOAZ - Loretta Gail "Rita" Luker, 40, of 5890 Somerville Road died Wednesday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
Survivors include her husband, J.H. Luker; two brothers, Thomas Gaskin and Alan Gaskin, both of Boaz; her parents, J.M. and Barbara Gaskin of Boaz; and her grandmother, Pauline Collins of Gadsden.
Austin B. Pirtle
Austin Brent Pirtle, infant son of Amanda and Brent Pirtle of Huntsville, died Tuesday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
He was a Huntsville native.
Other survivors include grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Buck of Huntsville, Claudia Bates of Hazel Green, Rex Bailey of Pulaski, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Demorse of Memphis, Tenn.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jasper E. Royer
DECATUR - Jasper Earl Royer, 87, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Vickers and the Rev. Gene Langford officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Royer was retired from the City of Decatur where he was employed in the maintenance department.
Survivors include his wife, Vida Royer; one daughter, Venita Sybert of Huntsville; and one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Carrie M. Sales
Carrie Mae "Nig" Sales, 72, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at noon at Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Suggs of Huntsville, Lucy Pugh of Cleveland, Ohio, and Margie Peoples of Tanner; four sons, Robert Sales and Jimmy Sales, both of Huntsville, Woodroe Booker of Yorktown, Va., and Albert Sales of Gallatin, Tenn.; four sisters, Ethel Dancy and Ida Bell Sales-Lewis, both of Huntsville, and Daisy Willis and Gertrude Kelly, both of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Joe Lewis of Cleveland; and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Harriet Seagroves
CULLMAN - Harriet Seagroves, 85, died Wednesday at a Cullman nursing home. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in the New Canaan Cemetery in Morgan County.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Seagroves, Ronald Seagroves and Donald Seagroves, all of Arab; six daughters, Jean Dewberry of Oregon, Faye Williams and Betty Flemings, both of Arab, Mary Hallmark of Holly Pond, Jane Lipscomb of Grant and Kay West of Morgan City; and 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Anna Snodgrass
HOLLYWOOD - Anna Snodgrass, 83, died Tuesday at a Scottsboro nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. William R. Tibbs officiating.
Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery in Hollywood with Rudder Funeral Home in charge.
Ms. Snodgrass was a homemaker.
Survivors include one niece, Mary Snodgrass of Hollywood.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jaylyn Summers
Jaylyn Summers, infant son of Beverly Summers and Jeff White of Huntsville, died Monday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Royal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Other survivors include grandparents, Mary Doyle, Garner Doyle and Anna Edwards, all of Huntsville, and James Summers of Kansas City, Mo.
Herman D. Thrasher
VALLEY HEAD - Herman David Thrasher Sr., 60, died Wednesday. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Joe Owens officiating.
Burial will be in Unity Cemetery in Henagar.
Mr. Thrasher was a member of the Lacy's Chapel Baptist Church and Mahan Masonic Lodge No. 490.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Frances Thrasher; one daughter, Dana Lacy Phillips of Chattanooga; two sons, Herman David Thrasher Jr. of Henagar and Darryl Porter Thrasher of Highpoint; his mother, Nellie Lacy Thrasher of Ider; one sister, Ruthie Greeson of Ider; one brother, Leroy Thrasher of Montgomery; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

LACEY'S SPRING - Ronald Lee Tyler, 53, died Tuesday in Birmingham. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Kenneth Galyean officiating.
Burial will be in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Dorris "Jimmie D. Hammon" Tyler of Lacey's Spring; one brother, Freddy Tyler of Glendale, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
