POWELL - Mrs. Doris Ellen Brown, 67, died Friday at her home. The funeral was Sunday at the Section Funeral Home with the Rev. Durell Bryant officiating.
Burial was in Bluff Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Farmer of Rainsville; two sons, Danny Brown of Powell and Jimmy Brown of Dutton; three sisters, Floy Hobgood, Margie Buice and Ruby Ganner, all of Georgia; one brother, Waymon Wallace of Georgia; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Gordon E. Casey
Gordon E. Casey, 83, of Huntsville died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with Tommy Rosenblum and Bill Cantrell officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Casey was a member of East Huntsville Church of Christ bnd was retired from Lincoln Mill. He was also a self-employed painter and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include one son, Kerry L. Casey of Huntsville; four sisters, Roxie Smith of Holly Hills, Fla., Jewel Benson of Huntsville, Olean Jones of Clarksville, Tenn., and Louise Fanning of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and one brother, Buford Casey of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rosetta N. Clark
ARAB - Rosetta Nobles Clark, 76, died Saturday at a local hospital. Thefuneral was to be today at 2 p.m. at New Brashiers Chapel Methodist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Gober Funeral Home of Arab directing.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggie Huskey of Texas; three sons, Billy Clark of Holly Pond, Junior Clark of Thompson Falls and Donald Clark of Joppa; and 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Arthur Elliott
Arthur Elliott, 84, of Huntsville died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Owens Chapel M.B. Church with the Rev. Doris King Lacey officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Ezell Smith Elliott of Huntsville; one daughter, Margaret Logan of Indianapolis; one stepdaughter, Teresa Seltzer of Huntsville; four sisters, Fannie Mae Toney, Odell Ford and Gabella Daniels, all of Huntsville, and Vivian Elliott Smith of Cleveland, Ohio; and 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Levenia Mae Groce
FAYETTEVILLE - Levenia Mae Groce, 78, of 116 Gimlet Creek Road died Saturday at a Lincoln County nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Logan officiating.
Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
Mrs. Groce was a housewife and a member of Stoney Point Church of Christ.
She is survived by one sister, Ruth Groce of Mulberry, Tenn.
Cora L. Hales
MARIETTA, Ga. - Mrs. Cora Lee Hales, 78, died Friday. The funeral was Sunday at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Kip Box officiating.
Burial was in Mountain View Memory Gardens in Rainsville.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Jackson of Smyrna, Ga.; one brother, Wallace D. Jones of Rainsville; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dorrie J. Lemieux
Dorrie J. Lemieux, 67, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Herbert E. Malone
Herbert Eugene Malone, 68, of Huntsville died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Malone was a native of Limestone County, but lived most of his life in Madison County. He was a retired truck driver for Jones Lumber Co.
Survivors include four sons, Ronnie E. Malone, Mike Malone, Jeff Malone and Kenneth Malone, all of Huntsville; three daughters, Diane Buchannan and Linda Garrison, both of Huntsville, and Pamela Malone of Gadsden; three sisters, Pauline Potter and Doris Powell, both of Hazel Green, and Mildred Weaver of Toney; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Henry S. Marsh
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Henry S. Marsh, 89, formerly of Huntsville, died Thursday at a Hollywood, Fla., hospital. The funeral was Friday at Star of David Funeral Home.
Burial was in Star of David Cemetery.
Mr. Marsh was an early developer in Huntsville, where he lived from 1958 to 1984. He built and owned several homes, apartments and shopping centers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marsh.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Marsh of Penland, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
Erma Murdock
ALBERTVILLE - Erma Murdock, 85, formerly of Grove Oak, died Saturday at a Marshall County hospital. The funeral was today at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Rayford Fricks and M.B. Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Murdock was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Braxton Murdock of Albertville; one daughter, Roma Jean Galloway of Albertville; one brother, Joe Smith of Geraldine; and three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Hayes D. Pettis
POWELL - Hayes Delene Taylor Pettis, 52, died Sunday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at the Straight Creek Church of God with the Rev. Gary Haymon and the Rev. Anthony Richey officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Will Pettis; two daughters, Gaylene Stephens and Kim Harcrow of Rainsville; two sons, Michael Stephens of Nashville and Patrick Stephens of Huntsville; five sisters, Ova Lee Bowen, Gennelle Taylor and Rhonda Miller, all of Rainsville, and Zelta Thomas of Chattanooga and Diane Roberts of Fort Payne; six brothers, Verdis Taylor, Harlon Taylor, Phillip Taylor and Johnny Taylor, all of Rainsville, Stephen Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla., and Uria Taylor of Fort Payne; and one grandchild.

Ruby N. Rusk
ROGERSVILLE - Ruby Newton Rusk, 86, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel in Loretto, Tenn., with Windell Gann and Charles Freeman officiating.
Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Rusk.
Survivors include one son, Billy G. Rusk of Rogersville; one daughter, Dorothy R. Wilson of Huntsville; two brothers, Silas Newton of Gadsden and Clarence Newton of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Leon Tomlin of Five Points, Tenn.; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary Ann Sanders
Mary Ann Sanders, 44, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Ella Schwerman
Ella Schwerman, 82, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Sprit Catholic Church with Father Phil OKennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Schwerman was a professional artist and a member of the Huntsville Art League. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Other memberships included the local botanical garden society, the Dogwood Garden Club and the Rural Letter Carriers Auxiliary.
Survivors include three daughters, Arlene Stewart of Huntsville, Dolores R. Riley of Dana Point, Calif., and Gloria Jean Phillips of Unicoi, Tenn.; one son, Roger D. Schwerman of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary at 7.
Nelson M. Singleton
PECAN GAP, Texas - Nelson M. Singleton, 83, died Friday at a Paris, Texas, hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Pecan Gap with the Rev. Cary Kinnaird officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Gap Cemetery with military honors.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Victoria Adelle Singleton; one son, Randall Hayden Singleton; and one sister, Lora Lindsey.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Nelson Singleton of Lame Deer, Mont., and Jere Scott Singleton of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one daughter, Judith Singleton Derrick of Pecan Gap; four sisters, Vivian Womack and Leota Hornsby, both of Green sburg, La., Estelle Bond of Pine Grove, La., and Ruth Highbaugh of Houma, La.; and ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Delta Funeral Home in Cooper, Texas.
Barbara A. Tansey
Barbara Anne Tansey, 71, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Phil OKennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Tansey had been a comedienne about 50 years ago. She belonged to G.E. retirees, and was a former volunteer for Catholic Charities. She had many published articles and poetry on life and humor and collected more than 4,000 books on humor and words.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Patrick Tansey.
Survivors include her husband, George F. Tansey of Huntsville; two sons, Michael F. Tansey and Richard W. Tansey, both of Huntsville; three daughters, Kathleen "Liz" Harvey of Huntsville, Eileen L. Satterfield of Hazel Green and Colleen T. Copeland of St. Louis, Mo.; her mother, Gladys Williams; one sister, Marilyn Stanley, both of Northampton, Mass.; one brother, Bruce Williams of Norcross, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
Dorothy M. Uline
GUNTERSVILLE - Dorothy Mary Uline, 84, died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday in Cairo, N.Y. Adams Funeral Home of Albertville is charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Uline of Albertville and William Uline of Birmingham; one brother, Herbert H. Sines of Tennessee; and three grandchildren.
Annie Ozell Webb
GURLEY - Annie Ozell Webb, 88, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Woody Harbin and Pastor Scott Webb officiating.
Mrs. Webb was a native of Madison County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Webb.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert R. Webb of Huntsville and Homer C. Webb of Gurley; one sister, Myrtle Smith of Guntersville; and 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Alma McCulley West, 76, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral was Sunday at Oak Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim McCord officiating.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. West was retired from Huntsville Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. West, and one son, James F. "Butch" West.
Survivors include two sons, Harrison B. ''Buddy West of New Market and Randy West of Gurley; two daughters, Donna White and Janice Weaver; one brother, James McCulley, all of Huntsville; three sisters, Margarite Phillips of Gurley and Choncie Grayson and Jane Fedrowisch, both of Huntsville; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
