Thomas A. Barnes
PELL CITY - Thomas Alan Barnes, 43, died Saturday in Birmingham. The memorial service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pell City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Cohen and the Rev. Paul Messer officiating.
Chapel Hill Funeral Home of Pell City is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barnes was a native of Huntsville and a member of the church.
Survivors include his parents, Chandler O. "Chan" and Ruby Barnes of Pell City; two sisters, Susan Barrow of Oneonta and Rebecca Leinfelder of Vestavia; and one uncle, one aunt, two nieces and one nephew.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pell City United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2200 3rd Ave. North, Pell City, 35125.

Frances D. Beam
SHELBY, N.C. - Frances Dellinger Beam, 93, died Sunday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Wilson, her nephew, officiating.
Lutz-Austell Funeral Home of Shelby is in charge of burial.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Augustus Beam.
Survivors include two sons, Gene Beam of Huntsville and Richard Beam of Santa Clara, Calif.; one daughter, Marjorie Beam Yokeley of Winston Salem, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 200 East Marion St. in Shelby, 28150.
Visitation was to be today from noon to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wilburn F. Boone
MADISON - Wilburn Floyd Boone, 57, died Sunday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Miller officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria H. Boone of Madison; two daughters, Tracey Boone of Huntsville and Constance Boone of Madison; and his father, Melvin Boone of Huntsville.

Lela Brandon
Lela Mae Drake Brandon, 74, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at noon at Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Big Cove Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Brandon was a member of the church and the Electra Grand Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star No. 21, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite and Daughter of Isis Bethlehem Court No. 3.
Survivors include three daughters, Ida Mae Drake, Lizzie Mae Brandon and Debbie A. Preyer, all of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Francessa Battle of Huntsville; six sons, Cornell Drake, Earl Drake, Franklin Drake, Robert Drake and Derrick Brandon, all of Huntsville, and Lawrence Drake of Tanner; one sister, Amy Patton of Tucson, Ariz.; and 30 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Jack A. Cosby
ARAB - Jack Austin Cosby, 72, of Arab died Sunday in a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lillye Cosby; one daughter, Amy Griffin of Arab; three sons, Jack A. Cosby Jr. of Florida and John D. Cosby and Stephen W. Cosby, both of Arab; two sisters, Edna Alosi of Birmingham and Lora Catz of Tennessee; four brothers, John E. Cosby Jr. of Snead, Madison Cosby of Birmingham, Paul Cosby of Dora and Charles Cosby of Athens; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Amanda E. Delgado
Amanda Elizabeth Delgado, infant daughter of Tracy and William Delgado of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be Wednesday at Valhalla Memory Gardens at 10 a.m. with Dr. Henry Pope officiating.
Valhalla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Other survivors include one sister, Faith Marie Delgado of Huntsville; one brother, Andrew Joseph Delgado of Huntsville; grandparents, Deanna and Donald Geurkink of Huntsville and Ada Delgado of Florida.

Clara M. Esslinger
Clara Mae Esslinger, 89, of Huntsville died Monday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Boulware officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Esslinger was a charter member of Hillsboro Heights Baptist Church. She organized the church's Missionary Union, was president of its Society Missionary Union and taught Sunday school.
Survivors include two sisters, Gladys Graham of Madison and Lelia Seal of Kentucky; one brother, John H. Locke Jr. of Huntsville; and nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

William C. Fleming
William C. "Bill" Fleming, 72, of Huntsville died today at his home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Fleming retired from the Army Ordinance Missile Command and was a member of Twickenham Church of Christ and an Auburn University graduate.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Wilkes Fleming of Huntsville; two daughters, Ann Reinhart of Huntsville and Mary Jane Brooks of Tallahassee, Fla.; one sister, Mildred Fleming Lang of Owens Cross Roads; one brother, Joe Edward Fleming of Unionville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Childhaven Orphans Home in Cullman.

Max Garrison
ARAB - Max Garrison, 80, of Arab died Sunday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Ruth Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Gober Funeral Home of Arab in charge.
Members of the Arab Fire Department were pallbearers.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret A. Garrison.
Survivors include his wife, Arnice H. Garrison; one daughter, Martha L. Dickie of Arab; one son, Billy Garrison of Arab; one stepdaughter, Paulette Brothers of Arab; one stepson, Allen Rutledge of Tennessee; one sister, Ann Brown of Guntersville; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Floyd A. Glass Sr.
ROGERSVILLE - Floyd Arthur Glass Sr., 73, died Sunday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Tom Holland officiating.
Burial was in Wallace Cemetery.
Mr. Glass was a native of Lauderdale County, was retired from NAFCO. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Chandler Glass.
Survivors include three sons, Floyd Glass Jr., Gerald Wayne Glass and Aaron Chandler Glass, all of Rogersville; two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and nieces and nephews.

Clara E. Goodman
FORT PAYNE - Clara Erwin Goodman, 91, died Sunday. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Jim Griffin officiating.
Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery in Henagar.
Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Goodman.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Mary Guinn
NEW MARKET - Mary ''Lizzie'' Guinn, 92, died Sunday at a Fayetteville, Tenn., nursing home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Donnie Amason and the Rev. Charles Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Guinn was a native of Madison County and the oldest member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Hornbuckle of Huntsville and Pearl Blair of New Market; and six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Murvin J. Kimbrell
Murvin J. Kimbrell, 69, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Lt. Col. Kimbrell was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner of and a consultant for International Safety Services and an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Kimbrell; and one daughter, Jayne Ellen Kimbrell.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Kimbrell; two daughters, Jimylu Kimbrell-Cook of Birmingham and Genie Hartman of Iowa; one son, Brian S. Kimbrell of Colorado; and five grandchildren and one niece and two nephews.
Visitation was today from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

James L. Love
RAINSVILLE - James Larry Love, 54, died Sunday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Briggs King officiating.
Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Love; and one son, Larry Jason Love of Rainsville.

Wilma S. Martin
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Wilma Smith Martin, 81, of 200 West Maple St. died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Bill Cantrell officiating.
Mrs. Martin was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a homemaker and a member of Washington Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia Martin of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and one son, Johnny Martin of Fayetteville.

Mattie McCain
ATHENS - Mattie Mae Tosh McCain, 90, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, Ala., with Bro. Dewey Craft officiating.
Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie McCain of Pulaski, Tenn., and Joe McCain of Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters, Ann Kellum of Decatur and Marie McElyea of Louisville, Ky.; and 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Willis L. Medlock
PISGAH - Willis L. Medlock, 66, died Monday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Dutton.
Mr. Medlock was a veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Lee Medlock.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Medlock of Pisgah and Leonda Maynor of Scottsboro; four sisters, Era Jo Barnes of Huntsville, Jeanette Roberts of Marietta, Ga., Rachel Guido of Montgomery and Juanita Murphey of Scottsboro; one brother, Wayne Medlock of Pisgah; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Syble J. Milam
GUNTERSVILLE - Syble Johnson Milam, 75, died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Mount High Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with Albertville Funeral Home in charge.

Kenneth H. Napier
ARAB - Kenneth H. Napier, 40, of Arab died Sunday at his home. The graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hilltop Cemetery.
Gober Funeral Home of Arab is in charge of burial.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Napier; two daughters, Rhonda Pate of Joppa and Tammy Pate of Blountsville; one son, Gregory Pate of Joppa; father, Samuel Napier of Ohio; three sisters, Evelyn McElwane and Barbara Everette, both of Alabama, and Sheila Woodall of Georgia; five brothers, Wayne Wagers, Charles Dingler and Rickey Dingler, all of Kentucky, and Michael Dingler and James Dingler, both of Cullman; and nine grandchildren.

David D. Perkinson
David D. Perkinson, 89, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. EST at Hamilton Memorial Garden in Chattanooga, Tenn., with the Rev. Gilbert Davis officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Perkinson grew up in Riceville, Tenn., and worked at a shipyard in Tampa, Fla., and as an accountant for Sewanne Coal and Supply Co. in Chattanooga 30 years. He had lived in Huntsville five years.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Perkinson of Huntsville; two sons, Don Perkinson of Huntsville and Robert Perkinson of Greenville, S.C.; one daughter, Beth McCoy of Abingdon, Va.; one sister, Frances Barley of Hope, N.M.; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Richard D. Peterson
Richard D. Peterson, 54, of Huntsville died Saturday in Morgan County. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Dees and Dr. Lee Dog officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Peterson was a member of Southern Crusiers, Alabama Waterfowl Association, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the Alabama/Tennesee Trail of Tears Corridor Committee and the LASER Project at NASA.
Survivors include one daughter, Tish Ann Peterson of Huntsville; three sons, Richard Dale Peterson Jr., Michael Peterson and Jeffrey Peterson, all of Virginia; his mother, Gloria Wade ofFlorida; one sister, Sharron M. Jackson of Florida; and two brothers, Robert G. Peterson Jr. and Charles W. Peterson, both of Florida.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louise M. Pogue
Louise McCormack Pogue, 100, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The graveside service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Dr. Stewart Jackson officiating.

Mrs. Pogue was a member of Birmingham First United Methodist Church and graduate of Birmingham Southern University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Pogue.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Louise Thrailkill of Huntsville and Jane Mitchell of Birmingham; six grandchildren, including Kathy Thrailkill and Allan Pelletier, both of Huntsville; and 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruth R. Preston
NEW MARKET - Ruth Rice Preston, 92, died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dwight Everett officiating. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Mrs. Preston was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Preston.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Hambic of New Market and Mavis Chicola of Picayune, Miss.; and seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Sarah C. Robinson
ATHENS - Sarah Charlean Robinson, 75, died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The graveside service will be today at 3 p.m. at Limestone Memorial Gardens with John Norman officiating.
Spry Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Robinson was a native of Limestone County, attended Lebanon Community Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy D. DeFoe of Athens; two daughters, Carolyn Russell Jackson and Wanda Van Hoozer, both of Athens; one brother, William ''Bill'' Smith of Athens; one sister, Nadine Kyle of Athens; and nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Allie L. Taylor
RAINSVILLE - Allie Lee Taylor, 96, died Monday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sand Mountain Funeral Home in Rainsville with the Rev. Melvin Dawson and the Rev. Jack Andrews officiating.
Burial will be in Straight Creek Church of God Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Hene Wigley of Rainsville; three sons, Willard Leroy Taylor of Albertville, Edward Taylor of Henagar and Ruford Taylor of Fort Payne; one brother, Robert Stubblefield of Battle Creek, Mich.; and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
