Lois D. Edwards
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Lois Drake Edwards, 78, died Saturday. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Tried Stone Baptist Church in Middletown with the Rev. Andrew Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery with Hall and Jordan Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Edwards was formerly of Huntsville.
Survivors include her husband, Kirby Lee Edwards of Middletown; three sons, Lee Roy Edwards of Franklin, Ohio, Kirby Earl Edwards of Trottwood, Ohio, and Tommy Edwards of Middletown; two daughters, Eloise McCoy and Peggy Harris, both of Middletown; her mother, Bessie Lane of Huntsville; four sisters, Clara Crutcher and Ellen Walton, both of Detroit, Helen Burwell of Huntsville and Josephine Leonard of Baton Rouge, La.; three brothers, John Drake of Harvest, and Woodie Lane and the Rev. Charles Lane, both of Huntsville; and 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Marian M. Hale
BIRMINGHAM - Marian Meeter Hale, 87, died Tuesday at her home. A memorial service will be announced later.
Mrs. Hale donated her body to medical science.
She was a native of Hammond, Ind. She had also lived in Florida, California and Washington D.C.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Douglas "Chuck" Hale of Birmingham; two daughters, Priscilla Beth and Susan Hale, both of Birmingham; two sons, Douglas V. Hale of Huntsville and Terry Standridge of Birmingham; three grandchildren, Dr. James Allen Coman of Tulsa, Okla., Melissa Beth "Missy" Coman of Madison and Holly Anne Hale of Huntsville; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to WBHM Public Radio in Birmingham.

Jewell Harris
TAMPA, Fla. - Jewell Elizabeth Levitt Harris, 81, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at noon at Ervin Chapel of the Chimes in Anniston with Dr. O.H. Buckley and the Rev. J.E. Merriweather officiating.
Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery in Anniston with Turner Funeral Chapel of Atmore in charge.
Mrs. Harris attended Alabama A&M University and was formerly of Anniston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Franklin Harris.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Henderson of Tampa; one son, Ronald Harris of Rosedale, N.Y.; three sisters, Opal Mae Bonner and Pearl Turner, both of Anniston, and Cathryn Cole of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one brother, Sherman Levitt Jr. of Detroit; and two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Edith S. Hicks
PISGAH - Edith Sartin Hicks, 74, died Wednesday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Freddie Waldrop and the Rev. George Scott officiating.
Burial was to be in Pisgah Cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hicks.
Survivors include five daughters, Wilma Patterson of Fort Payne, Joan Griffis and Roberta Tripp, both of Pisgah, and Fances Newman and Margaret Chapman, both of Henagar; one son, Lyndon Hicks of Pisgah; two sisters, Martha Estelle Clowers of Rockwood, Tenn., and Bonnie Wynn Gibson of Scottsboro, Ala.; one brother, James Sartin of Pisgah; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Richard V. Hulin
Richard V. Hulin, 57, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Twickenham Memory Gardens with Bro. John Threatt officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Home East is in charge of burial.
Mr. Hulin moved to Huntsville from Birmingham about 23 years ago. He was a deacon and worked with the youth at Highlands Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Hulin of Huntsville; two sons, Scott Hulin of Mobile and Mark Hulin of Hazel Green ; one daughter, Lisa Carpenter of Atlanta; one sister, Barbara Pappas of Montgomery; and three grandchilden.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Highlands Baptist Church.

Nancy C. King
ATHENS - Nancy Carolyn King, 63, of 301 Brookwood Drive died Tuesday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Steven Screws officiating.
Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. King was a native of Limestone County and a 1954 graduate of Athens High School.
Survivors include her husband, James D. King; one daughter, Jennifer King Cantrell of Athens; her mother, Rebecca Schrimsher of Athens; two sisters, Mildred Johnson and Bonnie Snoddy, both of Athens; and two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Samuel B. King
NASHVILLE - Samuel B. King, 74, died Wednesday. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Madison Funeral Home chapel in Madison, Tenn., with Drs. Jack Carver and Clyde Cutrer officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Helen King of Nashville, formerly of Huntsville; one daughter, Susan King of Nashville; one son, Tommy A. King of San Francisco; and one brother, Thomas J. King Sr. of San Diego.
Memorial donations may be made to the Music Ministry of Madison First Baptist Church in Madison, Tenn.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Billy C. Lightsinger
Billy C. "Kool" Lightsinger, 66, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Billy Lightsinger Jr. and Chaplain Irvin Banta officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Lightsinger was a retired Army master sergeant with 20 years of service. He received two Silver Stars and seven Bronze Stars with Oak Leaf Clusters and was the 4th most-decorated living soldier in Alabama. He is listed in the Hall of Heroes at the Madison County Courthouse and was preceded in death by one son, James Robert Lightsinger and one stepson, Tim Bertus.
Survivors include his wife, Marie A. Lightsinger of Huntsville; one daughter, Donna K. Lightsinger of Ashland; five sons, Billy Allen Lightsinger, Pat Lightsinger, Billy Cecil Lightsinger Jr., Billy Lightsinger and Johnny Kool Lightsinger, all of Alabama; one stepdaughter, Donna Kay Bertus of Huntsville; one stepson, Michael Bertus of Huntsville; his mother, Louise Autrey of Huntsville; one brother, John William Lightsinger of Alexander City; one sister, Doris Lightsinger of Huntsville; and four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pat N. Mayo
NEW HOPE - Pat Nolan Mayo, 39, died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Sam Mayo officiating.
Burial will be in Cloud Cemetery.
Survivors include parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Henry Mayo of New Hope; two sisters, Betty Davis of Huntsville and Shelia Dupree of Georgia; two brothers, Ronald Clark of New Hope and Tommy G. Mayo of Guntersville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Danie Pervis
Danie Pervis, 85, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Oakwood College Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor John S. Nixon, Elder Charles A. Tapp and Elder Eric C. Ward officiating.
Burial will be in Jennings Lake Cemetery in Trenton, Fla., with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Pervis was a homemaker. Her interests included sewing, cooking, walking and spending time with her family. She was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church on her 16th birthday and one month later married Laurence Norman Pervis, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Lenora Jones of Trenton, Fla., Joan Meares of Columbus, Ga., and Morma Roddy of Huntsville; one brother, Tony Ferrin Strickland of Florida; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lloyd E. Rector
ELKMONT - Lloyd Eugene Rector, 66, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Milton Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mr. Rector was a native of Madison County and lived here 63 years. He had lived in Elkmont three years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Rector of Elkmont; one daughter, Annette Wilson of Elkmont; three sons, Michael Rector, Patrick Rector and Jason Rector, all of Elkmont; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clara M. Scott
STEVENSON - Clara Madge Scott, 79, died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Rev. Charles Hughes officiating.
Burial will be in Stevenson City Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott's only child, Michael G. Scott, his wife, Barbara Stewart Scott, and their son, Joseph M. Scott, died in the explosion of TWA Flight 800 on July 17, 1996.
A native of Stevenson, Mrs. Scott was a member of the Stevenson Cumberland Presybyterian Church and was active in several church and community organizations. She was named grand marshal of the Stevenson Depot Days Festival Parade in 1998.
Mrs. Scott was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Scott Jr.
Survivors include one aunt and several cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to the Michael Gary Scott Learning Center, 104 West Main St., Stevenson, 35772.
Visitation was to be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Donald J. Thiel
Donald Joe Thiel, 54, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Thiel was a retired Army veteran. He worked in the finance office at MICOM and had lived in Huntsville 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Su Micha Thiel of Huntsville; one daughter, Pamela Su Thiel of Huntsville; and one grandson.

Richard H. Venettozzi
Richard H. Venettozzi, 60, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Venettozzi of Huntsville; one son, Timothy Venettozzi of Selden, N.Y.; one daughter, Michele Gordon of Selden, N.Y.; two sisters, Eva Conn of Huntsville and Elaine Johnson of Clinton, N.Y.; and two grandchildren and one step-grandson.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
