Robert D. Barney
Robert Donald Barney, 85, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Courtney officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Barney was a member of Cumberland Pres Byterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Curtis Barney; two daughters, Shannon Linville of Daphne and Dawn Watson of Huntsville; two sons, Gary Barney of Wisconsin and David Barney of Michigan; one sister, Ruth Condon of Florida; five brothers, Raymond Barney, Willie Barney, Dick Barney and Clifford Barney, all of Michigan, and Phil Barney of Arizona; and nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lawrence Burns
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Lawrence Burns, 82, of Boone- ville Church Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
Mr. Burns was a native of Bedford County, Tenn., and retired from Jack Daniel's Distillery.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Laws Burns of Fayetteville; two daughters, Sherry Corder of Fayetteville and Janice Faulkner of Lynchburg, Tenn.; two sons, Larry Burns of Lynchburg and John Burns of Tullahoma, Tenn.; two sisters, Dot Nichols and Margie Sons, both of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Billie D. Cole
ALBERTVILLE - Billie D. Cole, 90, of Albertville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery in Anniston.
Survivors include a son, Kent Cole of Florida; a son-in-law, Irby Cohan of Birmingham; a brother, Claude Duncan of Snead; three sisters, Fannie Worthy of Attalla, Jo Nixon and Jim Chastain, both of Arab.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Octavia D. Denham
BOAZ - Octavia D. Denham, 94, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Albertville Funeral Home with the Revs. Dean Timbes and Fred Gray officiating.
Burial will be in Solitude Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Denham was preceded in death by her husband, B.C. Denham; one daughter, Maxine Stanfield; and one grandson, Chapman Stanfield.
Survivors include one son, John Denham of Sardis; one daughter, Mary Lyles of Albertville; and eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Neil W. Green way
RADCLIFF, Ky. - Neil Warden Green way, 73, died Thursday at a Brandenburg nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Tenn., with Harold Crawford officiating.
Mr. Green way was a native of Lincoln County and a former resident of Fayetteville. He was an industrial mechanic with Chrysler in Huntsville, an Army veteran and member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Green way; four daughters, Delores McDermott of Murry, Utah, Sandra Halley of Dallas, Patricia Carey of Radcliff and Helen Dye of Lynchburg, Tenn.; one son, Ralph A. Platz of Radcliff; one sister, Marjorie Rosenblum of Huntsville; and 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rosie L. Justice
ARAB - Rosie Lee (Pete) Justice, 82, of 1407 Maple Lane died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Gerald B. Justice of Arab; three sisters, Ina Evans of Falkville, Eloise Bice and Mattie Hanson, both of Childersburg; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Rena M. Kent
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Rena Mae Kent, 88, died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with Joe Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery.
Mrs. Kent was a native of Lincoln County and member of Howell Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kent.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Presley of Petersburg, Melba Hunter and Sue Carter, both of Fayetteville; two sons, John Henry Kent of Valdosta, Ga., and Bill Kent of Fayetteville; one brother, Ples Griffin of Tullahoma; and 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Sarah L. Kerr
BEACON HILL, Fla. - Sarah Lucy ''Sallie'' Kerr, 70, died Thursday at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. on the beach in Beacon Hill in front of the Massengill Home.
Gilmore-Southland Funeral Home of Port St. Joe is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kerr was a former resident of Huntsville. She received her undergraduate degree from Florence Teachers College in 1951 and her master's degree from Florence State in 1968. She taught at Butler High School in Huntsville from 1968-1993.
Survivors include one son, David Hoyle Kerr of Beacon Hill; and two grandchildren, Heather Dorothea Kerr and Amanda Leigh Kerr, both of Melbourne, Fla.
Hazel L. Meagher
Hazel Lorraine Meagher, 78, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Dr. R. Laurence Dill officiating.
Burial will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell, Tenn.
Mrs. Meagher was preceded in death by her husband, Arch W. Meagher.
Survivors include one son, William E. Meagher of Huntsville; one daughter, Carolyn Burns of Huntsville; one brother, Carl Thomas of Lynchburg, Va.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

VALHERMOSO SPRINGS - James Edward Meeks, 71, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South with Brother Crow officiating.
Burial will be in Bartee Cemetery.
Survivors include four sisters, Ollie Louise Sands of Fort Worth, Texas, Emma Victoria Thomas of Harvest, Linda Lang of Valhermoso Springs and Mildred Harris of Lacey's Spring.

Marilyn Moore
ANNISTON - Marilyn Moore, 63, died Tuesday in Huntsville. Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville will announce arrangements.
Mrs. Moore was a native of Anniston and a former resident of Huntsville.
Survivors include two daughters, Victoria McGill of San Jose, Calif., and Deborah Shannon of Huntsville; four sons, Samuel Herbert and Daniel Joseph Herbert, both of Colfax, La., Franklin James Allen III of Fort Worth, Texas, and Wilton P. Allen II of Atlanta; one sister, Lou Warren of Anniston; and six grandchildren.
Sudahamshu P. Nepal
FYFFE - Sudahamshu Prasad Nepal, 25, died Dec. 3. A memorial service will be today at 3 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in Rainsville.
Surviors include his father, Narayan Prasad Nepal, and his mother, Nirmaia Upa-Dhaya Nepal.
Annie M. Rigsby
Annie Mae Rigsby, 88, of Huntsville died Thursday at a Guntersville nursing home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Huntsville Holiness Church with Pastor David Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Cameron Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Rigsby was a native of Jackson County but spent most her life in Madison County. She was a retired seamstress, a homemaker and a member of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rigsby.
Survivors include six daughters, Louise Pearman and Doris Cash, both of Huntsville, Betty Weaver of Madison, Faye Shook of Hazel Green, Nancy Gaye of Ashville and Peggy Freeman of Leeds; three sons, Jimmy Rigsby of Huntsville, Johnny Rigsby of Elora, Tenn., and Earl Rigsby of Wartrace, Tenn.; two sisters, Eula Key and Mary Nell Holt, both of Huntsville; one half-sister, Cornelia Cook of Ardmore, Tenn.; three brothers, Virgil Turner and John Turner, both of Huntsville, and Harry Turner of Dothan; two half-brothers, Frank Turner of Chicago and Jack Turner of New Market; and 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 12 great-step-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and five great-great-step-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Irma J. Russell
Irma Jayne Russell, 78, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. A memorial service will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Holmes Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dalton B. Styes officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Russell was the first woman president of the Democratic Exective Committee in Madison County, past president of the League of Women Voters and member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church. She was active in the early civil rights movement in the 1950s helping African Americans register to vote.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan McKenzie of Atlanta; two granddaughters.

Rita K. Sandwell
Rita Katherine Sandwell, 59, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Kimbrew officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Sandwell was a native of Germany and a longtime resident of Huntsville. She was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors include two sons, Karl E. Garner and James Garner, both of Huntsville; five daughters, Christine Mayfield, Janet Lassiter, Nancy Thompson, Patricia Langford and Diana Isbell, all of Huntsville; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pearline B. Taylor
Pearline B. Taylor, 70, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Bowling officiating.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Madison County.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis S. Villarreal and Julia Smith, both of Huntsville; two sons, Bruce Stallings of Decatur and Robert C. Taylor II of Harvest; two sisters, Martha R. Cornelison of Missouri and Bennie K. Buckner of Florida; four brothers, Marvin W. Brandon, Vernon Brandon, Bruce G. Brandon and John H. Flynn, all of Missouri; and three grandchildren.

MADISON - Travis Lavon Timmons, 20, died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home with Pastor Evelyn Holt officiating.
Burial will be in Royal Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Lillian Roberts Timmons of Madison; grandparent, Cebell Fletcher of Huntsville; six sisters, Doris Timmons, Tammy Timmons, Felicia Timmons and Jennifer Timmons, all of Madison, Maxine Fletcher and Mary Ann Fletcher, both of Huntsville; and five brothers, James Earl Fletcher, Roy Lee Fletcher and Andrew Fletcher, all of Madison, Lorenzo Timmons and James Ollie Langford, both of Huntsville.

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. - Audry Ervin Toone, 69, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with Bro. Sammy Brister officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Mrs. Toone was formerly of Ardmore.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Toone; one son, Keith Toone of Carroll County; one daughter, PaTrina Moran of Douglasville, Ga.; two brothers, Howard "Monk" Ervin of Nashville and Claudie Ervin of Columbia, Tenn.; three sisters, Clara Mae Collins and Velma Watkins, both of Columbia, and Lois McDow of Nashville; and three grandchildren.

Zenas Wilbanks
SCOTTSBORO - Zenas Wilbanks, 83, died Thursday. The funeral will be today at 10:30 a.m. at Section Funeral Home with Revs. Donny Thomas and L.A. Linville officiating.
Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery.
Mr. Wilbanks was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include four daughters, Delane W. Wilkinson and Janie Wilbanks, both of High Point, N.C., Linda T. Sparquyr of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Ellen T. Gay of Huntsville; and three sons, Rodney Wilbanks of Trinity, N.C., Danny Wilbanks of High Point and Donny Thomas of Section; and one sister, Margaret Campbell of Section.
Jimmie J. Woods
Jimmie Jordan Woods, 86, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Syler Tabernacle with the Rev. McKinley Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Woods was a elementary school teacher in the Madison County School System from 1934-76. She was preceded in death by her husband, Searcy Woods.
Survivors include three sisters, Aundrea J. Baker, Nedrea J. Matthews and Vivian J. Jones, all of Huntsville; three brothers, Donald W. Jordan of Huntsville, Thomas E. Jordan of Dallas and Stanley C. Jordan of New Orleans; and one stepson, Napoleon Woods of Huntsville.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
