Ellen Johnson
MADISON - Ellen Johnson, 82, of 146 Foster Drive died Saturday at a Madison nursing home. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at New Hope C.P. Church with the Rev. Terry Ragland officiating.
Burial will be in Triana Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one sister, Eliza Dillard Fletcher of Madison; and three nieces and five nephews.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Florence M. Miller
SCOTTSBORO - Florence Mayberry Miller, 88, died Monday at a Jackson County hospital. The memorial service was to be today at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Scottsboro with Handy Avery officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Wis., with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Jean Thomas; one son, William Hubert Miller; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church or to the Scottsboro Public Library.

Earline Oliver
Earline Oliver, 56, of Huntsville, formerly of Hernando, Miss., died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Zion Hill M.B. Church in Hernando with the Rev. C.L. Ladd officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery in Hernando with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two sons, Willie T. Johnson Jr. and Rollie Johnson Jr., both of Chicago; one daughter, Earline Johnson of Chicago; five sisters, Emma Jean Joyner, Bobbie Jean Howell, Rubystein Ferrell and Jackie Ferrell, all of Hernando, and Lucy B. Joyner of Memphis; two brothers, John Hoskin of Youngstown, Ohio, and Dennis Ferrell Jr. of Memphis; and three grandchildren.

Mary L. Pierce
GUNTERSVILLE - Mary Louise Pierce, 70, of 4369 Warrenton Road died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial was to be in Diamond Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Pierce; four daughters, Gail Tedder of Kilpatrick, Jane Wallace of Albertville, Janice Lake and Teresa Kennamer, both of Guntersville; three sons, Kenneth Pierce, Jerry Pierce and Johnny Pierce, all of Guntersville; four sisters, Lola Owens, Jean Wallace and Faye Tucker, all of Guntersville, and Ann Rainwater of Albertville; three brothers, Glenn Vaughn and Bobby Vaughn, both of Guntersville, and Harvey Vaughn of Arab; and 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Edith P. Pritchett
Edith Pauline Pritchett, 85, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Pritchett was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hugh Pritchett.
Survivors include one son, Michael H. Pritchett of Danbury, Conn.; one sister, Martha Dotzheimer of Huntsville; and two grandchildren.

David Richardson
HAZEL GREEN - Dr. David Richardson, 66, of Hazel Trace Drive died Monday at his home. Gallant Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Mary Sanders
Mary Ann Hill Sanders, 44, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Kenneth Hobbs and Tommy Dozier officiating.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders, a native of Madison County, worked for Motorola and was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, James Sanders of Huntsville; one stepson, Randy Sanders of Huntsville; two sisters, Doris Jones of Huntsville and Kay Peake of Woodville; and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Isalene Seay
Isalene Seay, 95, of Huntsville died Sunday at her daughters home in Huntsville. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mitchell Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Tanslin Cemetery in Sharon, Tenn., with Twickenham Funeral Home South in charge.
Mrs. Seay taught school for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orgain Seay.
Survivors include one daughter, Lydia Goodman of Huntsville; one brother, Carl Wright of Orlinda, Tenn.; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church to Alzheimers Association.

Mabel I. Schorsten
MADISON - Mabel I. Schorsten, 79, died Monday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Revs. David McMichael and Gene Kene officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Schorsten was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Monrovia and was a volunteer at Fox Army Hospital on Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include her husband, Edward S. Schorsten of Madison; one daughter, Sherry S. Visone of Harvest; one son, Dan E. Schorsten of Nashville; two brothers, William Flickinger and Robert Flickinger, both of the Canton, Ohio, area; one sister, Eleanor McAllister of the Canton, Ohio, area; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mount Zion Baptist Church building fund.

H.P. Shell
ALBERTVILLE - H.P. Shell, 76, of 201 South Cahill Road Apartment 713 died Monday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Shell and Don Shell, both of Albertville; one sister, Myrtle Miller of Albertville; one brother, Irby Lee Shell of Glencoe; and four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Anna L. Willard
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Anna Louise "Brummett" Willard, 62, formerly of Scott County, Tenn., died Friday in Indianapolis. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Vandiver-Parsley Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Green lawn Cemetery in Franklin, Tenn.
Mrs. Willard was a human services employee for the State of Indiana for 20 years and was a member of New River Baptist Church in Scott, Tenn.
Survivors include five daughters, Patricia Smith, Darlene Willard, Cathy Lucas and Vickie Wilard, all of Indianapolis, and Phyllis A. Cothren of Ardmore, Ala.; five sons, Jimmy Willard and Robert Willard, both of North Carolina, and Odell Brummett, Edgar Brummett and Ronald Brummett, all of Oneida, Tenn.; two sisters, Carolyn Turner and Juanita Storey, both of Robbins, Tenn.; and 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jewell M. Allison
Jewell Marie Allison, 81, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. W.O. "Dub" McCain officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Ala.
Mrs. Allison, a native of Lauderale County, lived in California before moving to Huntsville in 1988. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Roxie Gatlin and Daisy Tilley, both of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jeanne M. Alonso
TEN MILE, Tenn. - Jeanne Marie Alonso, 46, formerly of Huntsville, died Monday. The funeral will be Thursday at 5 p.m. at Ziegler Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery.
Mrs. Alonso worked as a licensed practical nurse at Decatur Health Care in Decatur, Tenn., for 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Alonso of Ten Mile; two daughters, Pamela Jean Kilburn and Elizabeth Ann Alonso, both of Ten Mile; one son, Charles Allen Alonson of Ten Mile; her father, Marion J. Langan of Huntsville; three sisters, Carol Johnson of Sequatchie County, Tenn., Patricia S. Langan of Huntsville and Ginny L. Mayes of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Meigs County Bank, P.O. Box 1185, Decatur, Tenn., 37322, in honor of Jeanne Alonsos children.

Dorothy J. Jackson
Dorothy Jeannette Jackson, 63, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Russellville with the Rev. Charlie Thorn officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackelburg, Ala.
Mrs. Jackson was a native of Russellville and lived in Huntsville since 1963.
Survivors include her husband, Archie L. "Roy" Jackson of Huntsville; one daughter, Vicki Lee Jackson Battles of Hazel Green ; one son, McKinley David "Mack" Jackson of Huntsville; one sister, Patsy King of Russellville; two brothers, Charles Freeman of Russellville and Gene Freeman of Tuscumbia; and four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorrie J. Lemieux
Dorrie Jeanne Lemieux, 67, of Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Burial was to be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Lemieux was a member of Laceys Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Anita Lassiter of Arab; one son, Raymond E. Lemieux of Huntsville; one sister, Anita Estes of Phenix City; one brother, William E. Jones of Montgomery; and four grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association.

Edith P. Pritchett
Edith Pauline Pritchett, 85, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Dr. William H. Bostick Jr. officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mrs. Pritchett was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hugh Pritchett.
Survivors include one son, Michael H. Pritchett of Danbury, Conn.; one sister, Martha Dotzheimer of Huntsville; and two grandchildren.

David W. Richardson
HAZEL GREEN - Dr. David Wayne Richardson, 66, of Hazel Trace died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Hazel Green United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jim Stringfellow and Jeff Havens officiating.
Burial will be in New Sharon Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge.
Dr. Richardson, a native of Sedalia, Mo., was a graduate of Garrett Theological Seminary, a doctor of divinity from Central Methodist College, a retired United Methodist minister for the Missouri East Conference, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a member of the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Ruth Richardson of Hazel Green ; two sons, Stephen Wayne Richardson of Hazel Green and Joseph David Richardson of Nashville; one sister, Violet Daniel of Wickford, R.I.; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Helen I. Sneed
ARDMORE, Ala. - Helen Inez Sneed, 84, of 8337 Old Railroad Bed Road, Lot 12, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Martin officiating.
Burial was to be in Beason Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Hubert Sneed of New Hope; three daughters, Sue Allen of Ardmore, Ala., Louise Doran of New Hope and Betty Zernicheck of Decatur; two sons, Buddy Sneed of Owens Cross Roads and Joe Sneed of Huntsville; one brother, Wiley McPeters of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mattie Bea Riggins of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Howard W. Steinhilper
Howard W. Steinhilper, 67, of 1114 Oakwood Ave., died Thursday in Rayville, La. The funeral was Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville with the Rev. Fred Robertson officiating.
Burial was in Lynn Cemetery in Archibald, La.
Mr. Steinhilper was a Vietnam veteran who had retired from the U.S. Army Special Forces.
Survivors include his mother, Roberta C. Steinhilper of Archibald, La.; two sisters, Mary Watson of Shreveport and Betty Jane Steinhilper of Atlanta; and two nephews.

Eunice B. Taft
Eunice Bowen Taft, 92, of Robertson Hollow Road, died Tuesday at a Tennessee nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Brother Buster Acuff officiating.
Burial will be in Blanche Cemetery.
Mrs. Taft, a native of Lincoln County, was a homemaker and a member of Taft Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Taft, and one daughter, Martha Ann Taft Lewter.
Survivors include one sister, Frances Luna of Taft; one brother, Ed Bowen of Taft; one son-in-law, Bob Lewter of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Jewel G. Thrasher
ROGERSVILLE - Jewel Gladys Thrasher, 81, died Monday at a Florence hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Rogersville with Dr. Bertis Ray and Brother James Adams officiating.
There will be a graveside service Thursday at 3 p.m. at Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Thrasher was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Evelyn Thrasher.
Survivors include her husband, Ozell Thrasher of Rogersville; two sons, Charles Thrasher of Estill Springs, Tenn., and Richard Thrasher of Anderson; three daughters, Anita McKee and Angela Calhoun, both of Rogersville, and Susan Crane of Arab; one brother, Delano Isom of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Imogene Johnson of Arab; and 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home in Center Star.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund, the Rogersville Emergency Unit or the American Heart Association, Lauderdale County Memorial Chapter, Sun Trust Bank, P.O. Box 758, Florence, Ala., 35631.

Mary E. Townsend
Mary E. Townsend, 77, of Huntsville died Monday. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. G.W. Lindsey Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Gregory A. Townsend of Huntsville; and two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to First Missionary Baptist Church or Hospice Family Care.

James C. Wallace
MOBILE - James Clifford Wallace, 85, of 2114 Oak Terrace Drive, formerly of Fayetteville, Tenn., died Tuesday at a Mobile nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Revs. Kenneth Erwin and Harold Wallace officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Wallace, a native of Lincoln County, was the retired owner and operator of Wallace Motors.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Phagan Wallace of Mobile; one daughter, Anne Moore of Mobile; two sons, Harold Wallace of Albemarle, N.C., and Larry Wallace of Humbolt, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruby Beech of Fayetteville and Clintelle Bates of Huntsville; three brothers, Hurley Wallace, Clay Wallace and Raymond Wallace, all of Fayetteville; and seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
