Abel H. Baldwin
ELKTON, Tenn. - Abel H. Baldwin, 89, died Friday at a hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with Brother Doug Eubanks officiating.
Burial will be in Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, Tenn.
Survivors include one son, Maurice Baldwin of Wartrace, Tenn.; one sister, Zilpha Kilpatrick of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m.
Robert L. Camp
Robert L. Camp, 85, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Chaplain Carl Malm officiating.
Mr. Camp retired from the Army and civil service. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Esther Camp of Huntsville; one daughter, Ann Camp of Huntsville; one son, Robert Camp of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Mary Angeline McBrayer of Sylacauga; one brother, Riley Eason Camp Jr. of Amory, Miss; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Buddy Dover
ARAB - Buddy Monroe Dover, 48, of 2367 Cullman Road, Arab, died Friday at his residence. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Home Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Gober Funeral Home of Arab directing.
Survivors include a son, Josh Dover of Blountsville; a daughter, Jennifer Dover of Oden Ridge; his mother, Maverine Dover of Arab; three brothers, Jimmy Dover of Holly Pond, Floyd Dover of Joppa and Joe Dover of Arab; four sisters, Lois Rudders of Arab, Joyce Stricklin and Vida Stricklin, both of Joppa, and Judy Purser of Holly Pond; and one grandchild.
Rendy M. Gilbreath
Rendy Mae Gilbreath, 69, of 2411 Mount Vernon Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Royal Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Townsend and evangelist Mary E. Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
Mrs. Gilbreath was a lifelong resident of Huntsville and Madison County.
Survivors include two daughters, Deloris Vaughn and Linda Gilbreath, both of Huntsville; one son, Garon Muhammad of Huntsville; one sister, Annie Pearl Robinson of Huntsville; one brother, Leroy Smith Jr. of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.
James R. Good
FAYETTEVILLE - James R. Good, 68, of 567 Molino Road died Thursday at a Murfreesboro hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Chilton officiating.
Mr. Good was a native of Moline County, Iowa, and a master tool and die maker with Southeastern Technology. He was a Navy veteran and a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Mullins Good; two daughters, Vicki Coffey of New Market, N.H., and Janice Rohr of Tullahoma, Tenn.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 3:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pamela Henry
ALBERTVILLE - Pamela Denise Strange Henry, 37, of 44 Claude Hill Road died Wednesday at her home. The funeral was Friday at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home of Albertville.
Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Henry was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Boyd and Evelyn Strange of Asbury; two brothers, William Kenneth Strange and Boyd Keith Strange, both of Asbury; and a sister, Tammy Ann Tomlinson of Rainsville.
Gary Hovis
MADISON - Gary Albert Hovis, 42, died Wednesday at his home. The graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Bevels Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Jones and Paul Gibbs officiating.
Spry Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Hovis, a native of Madison County, worked for the Harvest-Monrovia Water Authority and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Tamela Gibbs of Huntsville; one stepson, Richard Gregg Jr. of Madison; his parents, Albert and Lula Hovis of Madison; one sister, Myra Dupree of Harvest; and three step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Harvest Baptist Church building fund.
Frances Kelso
CHATTANOOGA - Frances Stiles Kelso, 89, of 3835 Mission, formerly of Fayetteville, died Friday at a nursing home. The graveside service will be noon today at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Harper Sasser officiating.
Higgins Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Kelso was professor emeritus of home economics at Northeast Louisiana University where she taught 34 years. She was a member of Brainerd United Church in Chattanooga.
Mrs. Kelso was survived by a sister, Rozell Kelso of Chattanooga.
Nell Kenney
HAZEL GREEN - Nell Benson Kenney, 87, of Bobo Section Road died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Stringfellow and the Rev. Jeff Havens officiating.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
Mrs. Kenney was a Marshall County native, a teacher and a farmer. She was a member of Hazel Green United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for a number of years.
Survivors include two sisters, Lida Manning and Kate Burgess, both of Guntersville; one brother, Garland Benson of Rainsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Gallant.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
Benjamin M. Kerr
TORONTO, Canada - Benjamin M. Kerr, 19, died Wednesday night at a Huntsville hospital after a traffic wreck. Royal Funeral Home will handle local arrangements.
Oakwood College is planning a memorial service. Details are not yet available.
Mr. Kerr was a junior at Oakwood majoring in biology.
Sara Jo Persle
JOPPA - Sara Jo Persle, 43, of 192 Blocker Road died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Persle; a son, John Michael Carter of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; and four stepchildren, David Persle, Adam Persle, Jessie Persle and Christopher Persle, all of Joppa.
Louise C. Thompson
MERIDIANVILLE - Louise Cornell Thompson, 82, died today at her home. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Revs. Frank Perrin and David Johnson officiating.
A graveside service will be Sunday at 11 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Knoxville.
Mrs. Thompson, a native of Maryland, moved from Knoxville to Madison County in 1963. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church for 35 years.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph C. Thompson of Meridianville; two sons, Joseph Cornell Thompson of Bountiful, Utah, and Kenneth Layman Thompson of Madison; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care.
William M. Thompson
HARTSELLE - William M. ''Billy Thompson, 70, of 178 Herring Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. James Masters and the Rev. Don Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Basham Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was a member of Basham United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Shelia D. Thompson; one son, Darrell Thompson; two sisters, Irene Johnson and Tootsie Garrison; two brothers, Erby Thompson and J.W. Thompson, all of Hartselle; and three grandchildren.
