Connie Arnett
Connie Arnett, 62, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Aitken officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Arnett was a nurse at Huntsville Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Arnett Kinley and Paula Arnett Shea, both of Huntsville; one sister, Eileen Hayden of Newport, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dimple Mae Brockway
Dimple Mae Brockway, 79, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce the funeral.
Mrs. Brockway was a Madison County native and a member of West Huntsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Ernest I. Brockway of Estill Fork; one daughter, Louise B. Thedford of Crowley, Texas; two brothers, Allen Drake of Harvest and Dan C. Drake Jr. of Huntsville; one sister, Nina Sue Burleson of Owens Cross Roads; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dora Sue Brockway
NEW HOPE - Dora Sue Wright Brockway, 59, of 639 Maples Lane died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home with O.D. Giles and Kenneth Randles officiating.
Burial will be in Kennamer Cemetery on Butler Mill Road.
Mrs. Brockway was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Joe E. Brockway; one son, Greg Brockway; one daughter, Mirinda Paseur; five grandchildren, Brandon Pritchett, Blake Brockway, Taylor Brockway, Andrew Paseur and Wesley Paseur; and one great-grandchild, all of New Hope.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lillian D. Counts
BREMEN - Lillian D. Counts, 85, died Thursday at a Cullman hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. David Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Trenton Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Mable Williams of Bremen; one sister, Geneva Myers of Hillsboro, Tenn.; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.
Cantrell E. Cowart
BOAZ - Cantrell Edward Cowart, 80, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Cowart; seven daughters, Gail Wilson of Boaz, Rhonda Harris and Lisa Cowart, both of Sardis, Carolyn Hogeland of Oneonta, Liz Dorning of Blountsville, Joan Baker of Claysville and Donna Brock of Andalusia; two sons, Kenneth Cowart of Mississippi and Jeff Cowart of Sardis; two sisters, Alma England of South Carolina and Juanita Jordan of Mississippi; one brother, George Cowart of Florida; 36 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Neal Erskine
Neal Erskine, 85, of 2453 Mount Vernon Road, Huntsville died Wednesday at a Lincoln County nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Syler Tabernacle P.B. Church with Elder Donald Hinton officiating.
Burial will be at Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include four daughters, Maggie Boysie Robinson of Evanston, Ill., and Izola Hinton, Henrietta Erskine and Rosie Mitchell, all of Huntsville; two sons, Corneilus Erskine Jr. and Annies Erskine, both of Huntsville; one brother, J.T. Erskine of Nashville; 30 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church an hour before the funeral.
Nancy C. Foster
HARVEST - Nancy Carroll Foster, 65, died Wednesday at her home. A memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Kee Sloan officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Foster was a native of Memphis and a Madison County resident for the past 36 years. She worked as a Meals on Wheels volunteer and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin B. Foster ; two daughters, Cynthia Otwell of Germany and Dru Lynn Hites of Virginia; one son, Russell Foster of Bremerton, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the church after the service.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
Michael E. Holladay
Michael E. ''Doc Holladay, 42, of Huntsville died Friday at his home. The funeral was to be today at noon at the World Outreach Center, 3301 Memorial Parkway.
Spry Funeral Home will be directing.
Survivors include his wife, Tammi Holladay; two sons, Joseph ''Joey Holladay of Huntsville and J.J. Holladay of Michigan; two daughters, Michelle Holladay and April Holladay, both of Huntsville; his father, Harold Dean Holladay of Oklahoma City; his mother, Mildred Walker of Hartselle; two sisters, Carol Thomas of Harvest and Lisa Holladay of Oklahoma City; and two brothers, Roy Gulley of Huntsville and Tim Holladay of Oklahoma City.

George Lindsey
FAYETTEVILLE - George ''Lightning Lindsey, 72, of 607 Mayberry St. died Thursday at a Lincoln County hospital. The graveside service will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Gatlin Cemetery with the Rev. James Barnes officiating and Higgins Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Lindsey was a Madison County native, a driver for Black and Yellow Cab Co. for 40 years and a member of Brogan Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Patterson Lindsey; three daughters, Diane Medley of Howell, Darlene Freeman of Fayetteville and Denise Smith of Toney; two sons, Danny Lindsey and David Lindsey, both of Fayetteville; two half-brothers, Lloyd Poque and Floyd Poque, both of Ardmore; one half-sister, Annie Tate of Athens; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lessie C. Massey
ATHENS - Lessie Courtney Massey, 71, of New Cut Road died Thursday at an Athens hospital. A graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Athens City Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Massey was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired candy salesman and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Clem Massey; two daughters, Kellie Parker of Athens and Jerrie Smith of Elkmont; two sisters, Mauvaleen McInturff of McDonald, Tenn., and Mary Varnell of Athens; and three grandchildren.
Alberta T. McNiell
MADISON - Alberta Taylor McNiell, 75, died Wednesday at her home. The graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Dale Carnes officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be directing.
Mrs. McNiell was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walter McNiell Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Walter McNiell Jr. of Madison and Warren William Cullen of Baltimore; three daughters, Brenda Leigh Womack of Madison, Joan Nelson of Bel Air, Md., and Sharon Pritchard of Baltimore; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Louise T. Rotenberry
Louise T. Rotenberry, 79, of Huntsville died Friday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce the funeral.
Mrs. Rotenberry was a charter member of the Cosmopolitan Club, a graduate of Auburn University and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Rotenberry.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Clifton Rotenberry of Selma and William Edwin Rotenberry of Huntsville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday at Laughlin from 4 to 7 p.m.

Annie Mae Wilson
BELVIDERE, Tenn. - Annie Mae Wilson, 88, died Wednesday in Winchester. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Chapel in Winchester.
Burial will be in Maxwell Cemetery in Franklin County, Tenn.
Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Putman of Lebanon, Tenn., and Kathleen Garner of Belvidere; three sons, Russell Wilson of Huntsville, John L. Wilson Jr. of Brownsboro and Carl Wilson of Tullahoma; one sister, Jeanette Gifford of Madison; one brother, Erskin Putman of Huntland; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
