Nell Boykin of Huntsville died Monday at her home. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Jessie Brady
Jessie Ferrell Martin Brady, 90, of Huntsville died Monday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Weatherly Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Todd Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Durham, N.C.
She was a native of Durham, but had lived in Huntsville 21 years and was a member of Weatherly Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Compton of Huntsville; one sister, Clarene Broad of San Francisco; and three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Weatherly Heights Baptist Church.

Valeria Cook
FLORENCE - Valeria "Susie" Cook, 48, died Sunday at a Florence hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Charity Baptist Church with James Ollie Wilbourn officiating.
Burial will be in Charity Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Michael Roupe of Huntsville; her mother, Ruby Golden Cook of Florence; three brothers, Gary Cook of Toney, Ronald Cook of Tennessee and Donald Cook of Morgan City; and two sisters, Marilyn Coots and Florence Miller, both of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Ethel Ditto
ARAB - Ethel Ditto, 85, of D-4 Brandywine Apartments died Monday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Arab City Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Larie Hyde and Imogene Johnson, both of Birmingham; one son, Vann Ditto of Pinson; two sisters, Myrl Bowen and Virginia Oney, both of Washington; two brothers, Memphis Carter of Washington and Jack Carter of Wadley; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Judith A. Dobbins
GRANT - Judith Ann Dobbins, 51, of 17 Bearden Drive died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Gunters Mountain Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby J. Dobbins; one daughter, Jennifer Stubblefield of Grant; one son, Eric Dobbins of Grant; two sisters, Sherry Slaughter of Huntsville and Shelly Martin of Grant; and two grandchildren.

Richard Fisk
ARDMORE, Ala. - Richard "Junior" Fisk Jr., 68, died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gene Lanham officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Fisk, a native of Madison County, was retired from Madison Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Fisk of Ardmore; his mother, Flora Fisk of Madison; one sister, Peggy Thompson of Huntsville; two brothers, Ray Fisk of Pulaski, Tenn., and Buford Fisk of Madison; and four nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County, P.O. Box 626, Athens, Ala. 35611.

Marguerite D. Hopson
MADISON - Marguerite Dantzler Hopson, 65, died Monday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Hopson was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, George D. Hopson Sr. of Madison; three sons, Charles Hopson of Tennessee and Bill Hopson and George David Hopson Jr., both of Huntsville; one daughter, Lee Collins of Hampton Cove; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Ralph I. Knowles
Ralph I. Knowles Sr., 82, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Dr. William H. Bostick Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Knowles was a World War II veteran and was retired from REA Express. He was preceded in death by one son, Craig Winfred Knowles.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Knowles of Huntsville; one son, Ralph I. Knowles Jr. of Atlanta; two daughters, Cheryl Jean Knowles of Birmingham and Sue Knowles Stacy of Franklin, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

J.E. Lang
HARTSELLE - J.E. ''Junior Lang, 71, of 115 Prayer Barn Road died Sunday at his home.
The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Revs. Dwight Lang and Jimmy Maze officiating.
Burial will be in Gum Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Lang was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from Bunge Corp.
Survivors include four daughters, Janice Grant of Baileyton, Denise Day of Somerville and Barbara Maze and Judy Sivley, both of Hartselle; two sons, Kenneth Lang of Somerville and Dwight Lang of Anniston; one sister, Betty Maples of Huntsville; one brother, Jerry Lang of Huntsville; and 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Clara S. McCormick
Clara Stanley McCormick, 62, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Pastor K.C. Poole officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McCormick was a native of Limestone County, but she lived most of her life in Huntsville.
Survivors include her husband, Thurmen McCormick of Huntsville; one daughter, Adonna LeAnne McCormick of Huntsville; four sons, Steve McCormick of Harvest, Dale McCormick of Hazel Green, Kenneth McCormick of Ardmore, Ala., and Mike McCormick of Morgan City; three sisters, Rose Derting of Huntsville, Jean Winkles of Madison and Linda Brazier of Athens; one brother, Preston Stanley of Detroit; and four daughters-in-law, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alberta T. McNiell
MADISON - Alberta Taylor McNiell, 75, died Wednesday at her home. The graveside service will be Sunday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend, Tenn., with Dale Carnes officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge.
Mrs. McNiell was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walter McNiell Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Walter McNiell Jr. of Madison and Warren William Cullen of Baltimore; three daughters, Brenda Leigh Womack of Madison, Joan Nelson of Bel Air, Md., and Sharon Pritchard of Baltimore; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Charles R. Neely
ATHENS - Charles Randall Neely, 38, of 10226 Cowford Road died Sunday in Limestone County. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Norma J. Neutze
Norma Jean Neutze, 69, of Huntsville died Monday in Columbia, Tenn. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Neutze, a native of Memphis, Tenn., had lived in Huntsville 33 years and was retired from Frisco Railroad and IBM. She was also an American Red Cross volunteer and a member of Church of the Nativity.
Survivors include three sons, Roy Lynn Neutze and Robert Lee Neutze, both of Huntsville, and Jefferson Neutze of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Eva Jean Preston of Toney and Helen Grissett of Mississippi; one brother, William Haynes of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Georgia M. Pryor
Georgia Mae Pryor, 86, of 562-B Dan Tibbs Road in Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Center Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Hilliard officiating.
Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Pryor was a member of Center Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Lula M. Turner, Hazel P. Reid and Alma T. Pryor, all of Huntsville; two sons, Howard Pride and J.B. Pride, both of Huntsville; one sister, Ophelia West of Huntsville; two brothers, Yancey Jacobs of Cleveland, Ohio, and Alma Jacobs of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Clessie M. Roper
Clessie Margaret Roper, 87, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Carey Johnson and Eddie Lones officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Roper was a native of Tennessee, but lived most her life in Madison County.
Survivors include four grandchildren, Judy Mason and Gina Pack, both of Toney, Randy Owens of Madison and Ricky Owens of Huntsville; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Verna M. Sumners
BOAZ - Verna Mae Sumners, 86, of Boaz died Sunday at a Guntersville nursing home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial was in Beulah Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Sloan of Albertville, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Richard C. Thomas
LEOMA, Tenn. - Richard Clyde Thomas, 90, died Sunday at a Tennessee nursing home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Neal Funeral Home here with Dell Sewell officiating.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas was a retired farmer and a member of Ramah Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for 40 years. He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Clyde Thomas Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Virtell Thomas; four daughters, Eloise Yeager of Florence, Ala., Peggy Porter of Killen, Ala., and Sandra Thomas and Kathy Thomas, both of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Morris Ray Thomas of Killen and Melvin Thomas of Leoma; three sisters, Iva Sue Brown of Leoma, Eunice Mink of Lawrenceburg and Lucille Del Monte of Akron, Ohio; one brother, Russell Thomas of Leoma; and 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hazereen Wilson
Hazereen Wilson, 59, of 609 Marguerite Drive died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Antioch P.B. Church with the Rev. A.D. Hammonds officiating.
Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, David Wilson Jr. of Huntsville; two sisters, Madgie Matkins and Emma Leeth, both of Huntsville; and two brothers, Charlie McComb and Edward Herman McComb, both of Huntsville.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
