Frankie Boykin Sr.
WILMER - Frankie Boykin Sr., who worked as a commercial painter for many years, died Wednesday at his home. He was 71.
Boykin, a native of Butler, Ala., was a resident of Wilmer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Boykin of Wilmer; three sons, Frank Boykin Jr. of Florence, Ariz., William Boykin of Watsonville, Calif., and Frank James Boykin of Wilmer; eight daughters, Sharon Boykin and Susan Whitehorn, both of Watsonville, Vickie Sawyer, Doramae Parker and Janet Williams, all of Semmes, Lori Takos and Charlotte Hickman, both of Mobile, and Tina Copeland of Eight Mile; one brother, Jim Boykin of Butler, Ala.; two sisters, Nancy Crosby of Butler and Rosie Boykin of Mobile; and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Serenity Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for noon Friday. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Eva Brunson
Eva Brunson, a homemaker and longtime resident of Mobile, died Sunday at a local hospital. She was 73.
Mrs. Brunson was a native of Uriah, Ala.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Wooley, Patsy Rosher and Catrina Brunson, all of Mobile; two sons, Wayne Brunson of Florence, Miss., and Allen Brunson of Mobile; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home.

McKinley H. Franklin
McKinley H. Franklin, who had worked for 20 years as a bus driver with the Mobile Transit Authority, died Tuesday at his home. He was 56.
A native of Loxley, Franklin lived in Mobile and was a member of State Street AME Zion Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Franklin of Mobile; one daughter, Courtney C. Franklin of Mobile; four sisters, Mary O. Muggins and Annie O. Franklin, both of Loxley, and Mable L. Otis and Darcus R. Franklin, both of Washington, D.C.; five brothers, Jeremiah Tolbert Franklin of Miami, Rufus L. Franklin of Philadelphia, Pa., Artie Franklin of Fayetteville, N.C., Thomas E. Franklin of Tulsa, Okla., and Frankie L. Franklin of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Allen Mortuary.

Corrie Lambeth Jr.
CREOLA - Corrie "Danny" Lambeth Jr., a native and resident of Creola, died Monday at a local hospital.
Lambeth served in the U.S. Navy and worked as an aircraft mechanic for Mobile Air Center and General Aviation for more than 26 years. He was also a longtime member of the Creola Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by a daughter, Brandi F. Lambeth of Saraland; his mother, Bonnie Nall Lambeth of Saraland; two brothers, Phillip Harry Lambeth and James Fredrick Lambeth of Saraland; and two sisters, Beatrice Montez Smith of Creola and Carol Anita Johnson of Greenville, Ala.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Travelers Rest Cemetery in Flomaton.

Tina H. Tanner
Tina Hazel Tanner, a native of Semmes and resident of Mobile for a number of years, died Saturday at a local health care facility. She was 71.
Mrs. Tanner formerly lived in California.
Among her survivors is a brother.
Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street is handling arrangements.

Willie Mae Williams
Willie Mae Williams, a retired employee of Dunbar Middle School, died Friday at the age of 47.
A lifelong Mobilian, she was a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, serving as a choir member for 20 years. She was a former member of the youth choir at Mount Olive Baptist Church No. 2.
Survivors include her husband, Taft Williams; a daughter, Michelle Actkins; two sons, Phillip "Poochie" Actkins III and Christopher "Chris" Actkins; five brothers, James Blake, Robert Blake, Aubrey Adams, Earl Adams Sr. and Albert Coale Sr.; and four grandchildren.
Viewing will be after 8 a.m. Saturday at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery. Christian Benevolent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Doris Denham
FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Doris Maxine Sewell Denham, a former resident of Mobile, died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Denham, 53, lived in Fort Payne.
Survivors include three daughters, Jonna Michelle Underwood Billiot and Amberly Kay Denham, both of Denham Springs, La., and Ashley Suzanne Denham Harrison of Fort Payne; two sisters, Judith Ann Nielson and Glenda Kay Norsthworthy, both of Mobile; three brothers, Willie Ray Sewell and Glenn Wayne Sewell, both of Mobile, and Hubert Douglas Sewell of Monroeville, Ala.; three grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne, where services are set for 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
