Fae T. Watters
Fae T. Watters, who volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 15 years, died Tuesday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after a brief illness. She was 66.
Mrs. Watters was a resident of Mobile. She served in the Society of St. Stephens at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. She was an officer in the Soldiers, Sailors, Marine and Airmen Association in Washington, D.C., and participated in various activities. She was also an officer in of the Freedoms Foundation.
Survivors include her husband, Col. Clarence M. Watters; two daughters, Leigh W. Heidtman and Jane W. Harrison; and one granddaughter.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in the sanctuary of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church, with visitation in the parlor at 9 a.m. Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street handling arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Society of St. Stephens.

Melchior Ferrara Jr.
Melchior Anthony Ferrara Jr., a native of New Orleans and resident of Mobile since 1995, died Thursday at a local hospital. He was 41.
Survivors include his wife, Christy Ferrara of Mobile; two children, Whitney Lynn Ferrara and Dillon Michael Ferrara, both of Mobile; his mother, Joycelyn T. Ferrara of New Orleans; his stepmother and father, Geneva and Melchior A. Ferrara Sr. of Emporia, Kan.; and his sister, Lynn Brien of New Orleans.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Victory Fellowship Church in Metairie, La., with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery No. 3.
Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway is in charge of local arrangements, with St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home handling arrangements in Louisiana.

Lura L. Finch
Lura Lowery Finch of Mobile died Friday morning at Spring Hill Manor Nursing Home. She was 87.
A native of Hiwanee, Miss., she was married to the late Al Finch Sr., and had lived in Mobile for more than 40 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann McIlwain of Mobile and Peggy Sue Reed of Knoxville, Tenn.; four sons, Al Finch Jr. of Grenada, Miss., Johnny Finch of Brewton, Ala., David Finch of Mobile and Ronald Finch of Mobile; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Serenity Funeral Home in Mobile.

George M. Harris
MOUNT VERNON - George M. "Ned" Harris, who retired from Olin Corp. after more than 30 years, died Thursday at his home. He was 79.
Harris was a native of Washington County and a longtime resident of Mount Vernon, Ala., where he was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.
He was past worshipful master of Citronelle Lodge No. 637 F&AM and Joe Southall Lodge No. 905. In addition, he was past worthy patron of Satsuma Chapter No. 515 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Margie L. Harris of Mount Vernon; his children, Millard G. "M.G." Harris of Saraland and Andy R. Harris of Mountain Brook, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. until services. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Radney Funeral Home of Saraland in charge.
Memorials may be made to Mount Vernon United Methodist Church; or to Infirmary Foundation, Hospice Care Fund, 28260 U.S. 98, No. 2, Daphne, AL 36526.

Jessie M. Irving
Jessie Mary "Jeanie" Irving, a parishioner of Little Flower Catholic Church, died Friday at a local hospital at the age of 69.
Miss Irving was a lifelong Mobilian.
Among her survivors is her sister, Catherine Dunnavant of Theodore.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Radney-Belmany Funeral Home on Grelot Road. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Ada P. Mercier
Ada P. Mercier, a retired sales employee of Gayfer's Department Stores, died Thursday in Mobile at the age of 92.
Mrs. Mercier, a native of Wilmer, was a resident of Mobile.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport, where she had served as organist for the adult Sunday school assembly.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law who served as her caregiver, Mary Lou South of Mobile; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. today at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport, followed by services at 1 p.m. Burial will be Monday in the National Cemetery in Biloxi.

Sharon K. Weaver
Sharon K. Weaver, a native of Concordia, Kan., and longtime resident of Mobile, died Tuesday at a local hospital. She was 57.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney L. Weaver of Saraland; her children, Roddie Curtis Weaver, Tammy L. Weaver and Walker Lee Weaver, all of Saraland; one brother, Jerry Waite of Salina, Kan.; five sisters, Betty J. Mendenhall, Donna M. Lawrence and Dixie L. Burchfield, all of Concordia, Dorothy A. Langston of Newton, Kan., and Phyllis Morrison of Carrollton, Miss.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, where services are set for 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
