Patricia Trescott
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Patricia Trescott, a former resident of Mobile, died Thursday at a Maryland nursing facility after a 14-year battle with multiple sclerosis. She was 44.
A native of Baltimore, Miss Trescott, a writer, photographer and painter, was a resident of Annapolis.
She received her bachelor of science degree in psychology from Towson State University and her master's degree in counseling from the University of South Alabama. She was selected Mobile's career woman of the year in 1986.
Miss Trescott had enjoyed swimming and traveling.
Survivors include her mother, Ruth Trescott of Arnold, Md.; and two brothers, Tom Trescott of Salisbury, Md., and Bob Trescott of Tallahassee, Fla.
Visitation will be today at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, Md., at 2 p.m., with a memorial service scheduled for 3 p.m. Private burial is planned.

Billy J. Taylor Jr.
GRAND BAY - Billy Jack Taylor Jr. of Grand Bay died Thursday at a local hospital. He was an infant.
He is survived by his parents, Stacey and Billy Taylor; one sister, Destiny Elaine Russell; and his grandparents, Sabra Smith, Cindy Taylor, Marion Cresswell, and Mildred Owens, all of Grand Bay.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Serenity Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at noon Monday in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Ollie L. McBride
PHENIX CITY - Ollie Lee McBride, a native of Arlington, Ala., former resident of Mobile and resident of Phenix City, died Tuesday . He was 82.
McBride was a former member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Mobile and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ga.
He is survived by his wife, Letha McBride of Mobile; five sons, Frank McBride of New York City, Fred McBride of Detroit, James McBride and Lexanzer Scott, both of Mobile and ReDonald Scott of Huntville; four daughters, Vernice McBride of New York City, Mary McBride of Phenix City, Georgetta Jones of Phenix City and Freddie Mae McBride of Mobile; one brother, L.H. McBride of Selma; one sister, Willie Wilkes of Mobile; 13 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home and after 1 p.m. on Monday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the church, with services at 3 p.m.
Burial will be in the Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Theodore.

Sara A. Crenshaw
Sara Alice Crenshaw, a native of Nanafalia, Ala., and a resident of Mobile, died Sunday at a local health care facility. She was 94.
She was postmistress in Nanafalia for more than 30 years. She was a former member of Nanafalia Baptist Church and Spring Hill Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by a brother, Cedric H. Crenshaw of Mobile; and a sister, Dorothy Crenshaw Yawn of Baton Rouge, La.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Radney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Verna J. Schimpf
Verna Joiner Schimpf, a native of Meridian, Miss., and resident of Mobile, died Saturday at her residence. She was 89.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tillman's Corner for more than 55 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Lavern Day of Mobile and Helen Bendickson of Maryville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Tillman's Corner. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Tillman's Corner Building Fund.

Roderick Reed
Roderick Le Barron Reed, a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church No. 2 and lifelong Mobile resident, died Sunday at the age of 30.
Survivors include one daughter, Jamiya Mone't Mahone-Reed; his parents, Simmie Reed III and Carolyn Johnson Reed; one brother, Simmie Reed IV; his grandparents, James R. and Ruth Johnson, Frances Cox, and Emma and Simmie Reed Jr., all of Mobile.
Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Friday at Metropolitan AME Church, 750 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Ann Latham
Ann Robinson Latham, a lifelong Mobile resident, died Sunday at the age of 71.
Survivors include her husband, Eldred C. Latham; four sons, John Early McMurphy III, Edward Robinson McMurphy, Sanford Rush McMurphy and David Lewis McMurphy; one daughter, Ann Robinson McMurphy Nelson; her sister, Ashley Robinson Childers; three stepchildren, Eldred Crosby Latham Jr., Janice Carter and David M. Radney Latham; and 16 grandchildren.
Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with visitation in the parish hall at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway directing.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 4051 Old Shell Road, Mobile, AL 36608; or a favorite charity.
