Noy Viravong
Noy Viravong, a native of Laos who resided in Bayou La Batre, died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 52.
She was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church in Scottsville, N.Y., and attended St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Bayou La Batre.
She is survived by her husband, Kanha Viravong of Bayou La Batre; nine children, Dan S. Viravong and Soukanh Viravong of Grand Bay, James Viravong of Kannapolis, N.C., Ketpanom Viravong of Rochester, N.Y., Kiangkham Viravong of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Phongsavanh Viravong of Rochester, N.Y., Sophon Viravong of Yuma, Ariz. Kankeo Viravong of Charlotte, N.C. and Sangkhom Viravong of Rochester, N.Y.; a brother, Khamboun Phatommavong of Churchville, N.Y.; and a sister, Baun Phatommavong of Laos.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m. at St. Margaret's Catholic Church.
Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street is in charge of arrangements.

Prinnis V. Weaver
Prinnis Vincent Weaver, a lifelong resident of Mobile County, died Friday at his home. He was 25.
Weaver worked as a metal building erector.
He is survived by three daughters, Tiffany Weaver of St. Petersburg, Fla., Brittany Cannon Weaver and Haley Cannon Weaver, both of Mobile; a stepson, Anthony Cannon of Mobile; his father, Larry Weaver of McIntosh; his mother, Merina Cook of Dothan; a brother, Tony Scott Weaver of McIntosh; and two sisters, Karen Deann Snow of Citronelle and Kelly Mechelle Weaver of McIntosh.
Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Rivers Baptist Church, with burial at Reed's Chapel Cemetery in McIntosh.
Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle is in charge of arrangements.

Georgia L. Gulley
Georgia L. Simon Gulley, a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, died Wednesday at a local hospital. She was 69.
Mrs. Gulley, a Clarke County native, resided in Mobile.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Gulley Sr.; five sons, Larry Gulley, Jimmy Gulley, Earnest Gulley Jr. and Winston Gulley, all of Mobile, and Marion Ward of St. Paul, Minn.; a daughter, Ollie English of St. Paul; two brothers, Adam Simon of Melvin, Ala., and Henry Simon of Mobile; 29 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will begin at 5 p.m. today at St. Peter Baptist Church, with visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Services are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at Whispering Pines Cemetery.

Irene C. Hunter
Irene Chapman Hunter, a lifetime member of Pilgrim Rest AME Zion Church, died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 97.
Mrs. Hunter, a lifelong Whistler resident, was the church musician and a Sunday school teacher for more than 60 years until her health began to fail. She had served with the deaconess board, stewardess board, missionary society and the Star of Zion Club.
She also was a member of Sunshine Chapter No. 50, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include six nieces, Doris McMillian, Leona Barron, Eugenia Rankins and Paula Spencer, all of Mobile, Janice Spencer and Shelia Spencer, both of Whistler; and two nephews, Samuel Spencer of Bothell, Wash., and Leon Spencer of Prichard.
Viewing will be Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m. at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home and Thursday after 9 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest AME Zion Church, 125 Greer Avenue in Whistler. Visitation is to be Thursday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services begin, with burial at Whistler Cemetery.

Jackie A. Lang Sr.
Jackie A. Lang Sr., who had worked as a truck driver, died Monday at a local hospital. He was 51.
Lang, who resided in Eight Mile, was a native Mobilian. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Millwright Local No. 89 in Mobile.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Lang of Eight Mile; a son, Jackie Lang Jr. of Bay Minette; two daughters, Sarah Lang of Bay Minette and Carolyn Lang of Grand Blanc, Mich.; a brother, Marion "Buster" Lang of Eight Mile; two sisters, Jeanette Jones of Irvington and Sue Tillman of Flint, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, with graveside services at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Annex of Whistler Cemetery in Eight Mile.

Emmitt Nelson
Emmitt Nelson, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, died Saturday at a health care facility in Pensacola. He was 70.
Nelson, a lifelong resident of Mobile, spent his entire career as a U.S. Civil Service machinist.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Rohman of Mobile; three sons, Wayne Nelson of Navarre, Fla., David Nelson of Mobile and Tim Nelson of Clintondale, N.Y.; two brothers, Grady Nelson of Pensacola, and A.D. Nelson of Brewton, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. today at Johnson Cemetery in White House Forks Community in Baldwin County.

Ivory W. Weaver
Ivory W. Weaver, a retiree and a native of Mobile, died Sunday at his home. He was 71.
He is survived by his wife, Verna R. Weaver of Mobile; a son, Larry W. Weaver of Mobile; three daughters, Patricia A. Studener of Mobile, Marsha R. Gilmore of Grand Bay and Gail L. Andrews of Mobile; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 11 a.m. today at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, with burial at Catholic Cemetery.
