Martha S. Johnson
COCHRAN, Ga. - Martha Sonia Johnson, a native Mobilian, died Friday at a local nursing facility. She was 58.
Mrs. Johnson was a Cochran homemaker. While in Mobile, she had been a member of Government Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Bernard Johnson of Cochran, and her caregivers, Karen, Anthony and Patrick Moeller, and Patricia Joiner.
Visitation will be Thursday beginning at noon at Serenity Memorial Gardens, with graveside services set for 2 p.m. at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Julius Downing
Julius Downing, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, died Monday at a local hospital. He was 74.
Downing was a lifelong resident of Wilmer.
Survivors include one son, Gary Downing of Wilmer; one sister, Mabel Tanner of Wilmer; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at noon today at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, with services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Wilmer Cemetery.

George J. McCarron
George John McCarron, a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 75.
McCarron, a native of Lynn, Mass., was a resident of Mobile County for the past 25 years.
During World War II, he served aboard the "Bad Penny, " a bomber aircraft with the 769th Bomber Squadron.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy McCarron of Theodore; two daughters, Debra June Adams of Mobile and Tammy Stearns Anderson of Saraland; one son, Curtis Stearns III of Mobile; two sisters, Alma Collins and Marie Crist, both of Lynn; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Serenity Funeral Home, with services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.

Hamilton Snow
MOUNT VERNON - Hamilton Snow, a retired logger, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was 85.
Snow, a Washington County native, was a resident of Mount Vernon. He attended Reed's Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven sons, Bobby Snow of Florala, Ala., Lewis Snow of Gadsden, Ala., Glen Snow of McIntosh, Ala., Larry Snow and Rogers Snow, both of Citronelle, Butch Snow of Creola and Don Snow of Axis, Ala.; three daughters, Dottie Rivers of Citronelle, Verina Reed of McIntosh and Joyce Renfroe of Crestview, Fla.; 31 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. Services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church, with burial in Reed's Chapel Cemetery in McIntosh.

Arthur A. Rich Jr.
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Arthur Armstrong Rich Jr., a retired colonel with the U.S. Army Signal Corps, died Saturday at an area nursing facility. He was 85.
Rich, a native of Floyd, Fla., was a resident of Charleston. The University of Florida graduate was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Mount Pleasant, S.C., and an active member of St. Helena's Episcopal Church in Beaufort, S.C.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Christianson of Mount Pleasant; one son, James A Rich of Edgewood, Ky.; two brothers, Charles Rich of Manchester, Ga., and Oscar Rich of Magnolia Springs; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. today in the Parish Hall at St. Helena's Episcopal Church in Beaufort, with burial in the church cemetery. The Mount Pleasant Chapel of J. Henry Stuhr Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Terry D. Burdett
Terry David Burdett, a veteran of the U.S. Army, died Tuesday in Mobile at the age of 48.
Burdett was a native of Missouri and resident of Mobile.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Burdett of Mobile; one son, Joey Burdett of Mobile; and one granddaughter.
The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.

Robert A. Davidson
Robert A. Davidson, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 80.
Davidson, a Mississippi native, was a resident of Mobile. A Mason and Shriner, his memberships included Mobile Lodge No. 40, the Wahabi Temple in Jackson, Miss., and the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include one son, Jack Davidson of Prattville, Ala.; four sisters, Daisy Peebles of Arizona, Alice Mills of Citronelle, Ethel Curry of Hurley, Miss., and Nellie Davis of Eight Mile; three brothers, Gay Davidson and C.D. Davidson, both of Hurley, and James Davidson of Mobile; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Roberts Chapel United Methodist Church, with viewing one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Roberts Chapel Cemetery.
