Catherine L. Bishope
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Catherine Lowery Bishope, a resident of Anchorage and formerly of Thomasville, Ala., died Saturday at the age of 89.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Martin of Jackson, Miss.; her son, Robert Bishope of Anchorage; two sisters, Oleta Ingram of Thomasville and Bruce Thompson of Cookeville, Tenn.; two brothers, Bobby Lowery of Lamison, Ala., and Claude Lowery of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville. Burial was in Choctaw Corner Cemetery.

Christopher C. Cornelius Jr.
IRVINGTON - Christopher C. Cornelius Jr., who had worked as a pipefitter in the shipbuilding industry, died Wednesday at his home. He was 87.
The Blount County native was a resident of Irvington.
Survivors include his wife, Bernadette Davis Cornelius; three children, Barbara Cornelius of Orange Beach, Christopher C. Cornelius III of Irvington, and Gale Deas of Grand Bay; two brothers, Alton Beck Cornelius of Oneonta, Ala., and Jay Cornelius of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at noon today at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by graveside services at 2 p.m. in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Betty Jane Day
Betty Jane Day, who had worked as a housekeeper with Gayfer's Department Store, died June 3. She was 75.
Mrs. Day, a native of Hayneville, Ala., was a resident of Mobile.
Survivors include her son, Alvin Wright; 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. today at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are with Hodge's Funeral Chapel.

Jeff D. Maples
Jeff Daniel Maples, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, died Wednesday.
Maples, 20, was a lifelong Mobilian.
Survivors include his parents, Bradley and Sherry Goff of Mobile; maternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia Callahan of Mobile; and paternal grandparents, Robert C. and Agnes Goff of Theodore.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by services at noon. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Terry E. Weaver
Terry Edward Weaver, who had worked as a dump truck driver, died Friday at a local hospital He was 32.
A native Mobilian, Weaver was a resident of Eight Mile.
Survivors include his wife, Tracy Weaver of Eight Mile; three stepdaughters, Amanda Roberts, Stacey Roberts and Heather Roberts, all of Eight Mile; his mother, Carolyn Weaver of Eight Mile; two brothers, Mark Weaver of Chickasaw and Vincent LaCoste of Semmes; and one sister, Amber Witcraft of Semmes.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Kushla Assembly of God on U.S. 45. Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Monday in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are with Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.

David Westbrook
David Westbrook, a member of the Word Alive Church, died June 4 at his home. He was 30.
Westbrook was a native and resident of Mobile.
Survivors include his sister, Adrienne Purifoy; and several cousins reared as siblings, Mary Brown, Ruthie Taylor, Patricia Taylor, Noel Taylor and Tirie Taylor.
Viewing will be at 9 a.m. today at the Word Alive Church, 2720 Government Blvd., with services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Leslie E. Coleman
Leslie E. Coleman, a Mobile native and resident, died Friday at his home. He was 66.
Coleman served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church and was a retired Tenneco Automotive district sales manager.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Coleman of Mobile; one son, Leslie Coleman Jr. of Mobile; two daughters, Lisa Coleman Bush of Tampa, Fla., and Nancy Coleman Haas of Omaha, Neb.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at noon at Pine Crest Cemetery.
