Ruth B. Gonzales, a Mobile native and resident, died Friday at her home.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Gonzales of Mobile; a son, Augustus Gomez of Mobile; a daughter, Juanita L. Delmore of Mobile; a sister, Beatrice Dukes of Campbell, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Johnson-Allen Mortuary.

Nora Johnson
Nora Q. "Nonie" Ankersen Johnson, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, died Friday at her home in Mobile.
Mrs. Johnson was a 1940 graduate of Bishop Toolen High School. She was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a charter member of the Azalea Dance Club and a member of a Mobile mystic society.
She is survived by her husband, Claude August Johnson of Mobile; two children, Patricia Fassbender and Vernon T. Ankerson, both of Mobile; one sister, Mary Carver of Meridian, Miss.; one brother, Thomas Quayle of New Orleans; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 this evening at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, with the Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with burial in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Louise A. Lewis
Louise Andrews Lewis, a Citronelle native and a Mobile resident, died Friday at a local health care facility. She was 94.
Ms. Lewis worked as a homemaker and attended Charity Chapel Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd M. Lewis of Eight Mile and Floyd "Sonny" Lewis of Citronelle; four daughters, Estelle Lewis Wooten of Batesville, Ark., Mildred Lewis Prades of Pensacola, and Betty Lewis Wainwright and Vicki Lewis Lankford, both of Saraland; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 this evening at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Charity Chapel Cemetery in Citronelle.

Charles H. Sutley
Charles H. Sutley, a Washington County native and a Mobile resident, died Friday at a local hospice. He was 83.
Sutley served as a U.S. Army medic during World War II. He retired from Alcoa after 36 years as a laboratory analyst.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances Coleman Sutley of Mobile; two sons, William H. "Bill" Sutley of Theodore and David E. Sutley of Fairhope; one daughter, Bettye Sutley Davis of Theodore; one sister, Jessie Mae Tarver of Wagarville; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 this evening at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Pine Crest Cemetery.

Harriet G. Hill
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Harriet G. Hill, a native and former longtime resident of Mobile, died Thursday in Hollywood, Fla. She was 88.
Mrs. Hill was a 1927 graduate of Murphy High School.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Cook of Weston, Fla., and Christina Rice of Hernando, Miss.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Alice R. Tucker
Alice Ruth Tucker, a Mobile resident who was a native of South Carolina, died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 72.
Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Veritas 175.
She is survived by a son, Mack R. Tucker, Jr. of Mobile; two daughters, Brenda Tilley of Walterboro, S.C., and Sandra Griffith of Chickasaw; her mother, Corrie M. McWhorter of Walhalla, S.C.; a brother, John W. McWhorter of Russellville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Philip S. Gibson
LEAKESVILLE, Miss. - Philip Stephen Gibson, a retired airplane mechanic at Brookley Field, died Saturday at his Leakesville home. He was 77.
Gibson, a disabled World War II veteran, received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a native of Green County, and he attended Rounsaville Baptist Church in Leakesville.
He is survived by his wife, Glenese Gibson of Leakesville; two sons, Donald Gibson and Gary Gibson, both of Leakesville; two stepsons, Wyatt Skinner of Leakesville and Stan Rouse of Lucedale, Miss.; a daughter, Phylis Davis of Leakesville; two stepdaughters, Glenda Richardson of Creola and Patricia Ellerbee of Lucedale; a brother, Glen Gibson of Plainview, Texas; three sisters, Mary Lou Huggins of Citronelle, Dora Lee Stewart of Chunchula and Joyce Boykin of Semmes; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 10 a.m. today at Freeman Funeral Home in Leakesville, with burial at Rounsaville Baptist Cemetery.
