Autherine E. Watson
Autherine E. "Nannie" Henderson Watson, a Mobile native, died Thursday at a local health care facility. She was 91.
Mrs. Watson is survived by one son, Herman D. Hendley of Mobile; two daughters, Katie M. Stallworth and Cynthia Bagsby, both of Mobile; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at State Street AME Zion Church. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, with services to follow. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to State Street AME Zion Church and/or Mercy Medical Hospice.

Max C. Jones Jr.
MOBILE - Max C. Jones Jr., an accounting technician for more than 33 years with GM&O; Railroad before his retirement, died Friday at a local hospital. He was 76.
Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Mobile.
He owned the Skyline Restaurant in west Mobile and was a member of Masonic Loop Lodge No. 895 F&AM.; He was a member of Abba Shrine Temple and the Scottish Rite Bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones of Mobile; three sons, Richard Jones, Matt Jones and Keith Jones, all of Mobile; a sister, Harriet Woodham of Mobile; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Magnolia Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Abba Shrine Temple's Children's Hospital Fund.

Marietta C. Duncan Lee
Marietta C. Duncan Lee, a homemaker, died Friday in Grovetown, Ga. She was 58.
Mrs. Lee was a native of Mobile.
She is survived by two sons, Dewayne Lee and Troy Lee, both of Mobile; three daughters, Dorothea Lee of Fort Worth, Texas, Harriette Lee of Grovetown, Ga., and Corlette Lee Newson of Mobile; three sisters, Ann Moultry of Brundidge, Ala., Louvenia Jackson and Debra Porter, both of Troy; two brothers, Clauzelle Duncan of Brundidge and Gary Evans of Troy; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday at the Shrine of the Holy Cross in Daphne from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m., with burial at Whispering Pines Cemetery.
Christian Benevolent Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Donald P. Lewis
Donald Phillips Lewis, manager of Perdido Trucking and a coach with the Catholic Youth Organization, died Monday at a local hospital. He was 49.
Lewis, a native resident of Mobile, graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science degree and was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He attended St. Ignatius Catholic Church and Ashland Place United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lillis Lott Lewis of Mobile; two sons, D. Phillips Lewis Jr. and H. Lott Lewis of Mobile; a daughter, Mary Shannon Lewis of Mobile; a brother, James Lamar Lewis Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; and stepsisters Laura L. Martin of New York City and Marcia K. Martin of Mobile.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius. Burial will be at Pine Crest Cemetery.

Milton T. Ring
Milton Thomas Ring, a farmer in Grand Bay for many years, died Sunday at his home. He was 67.
Ring, a native of Rhinelander, Wis., resided in Grand Bay for the past 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Ring of Grand Bay; two daughters, Deborah R. Danley of Rhinelander and Tonya Bowles of Grand Bay; two sons, Michael E. Carroll and James A. Ring, both of Rhinelander; three sisters, Barbara Reynolds of St. Elmo, Grace Brenton of Rhinelander and Elsie Johnson of Heron Bay, Ala.; two brothers, Jimmy Ring of Grand Bay and Dennis Ring of Portage, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 at Serenity Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Thomas N. Smith
Thomas Nathan Smith, a lifelong Mobilian, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Survivors include his daughter, Martha Smith of Mobile, and his brother, Bill Smith of Mobile.
Visitation will be today at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services begin, with burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Jean S. Freeman
WINNSBORO, Texas - Jean Swanson Freeman, who had resided in Mobile for a number of years before moving to Texas, died Sunday at her Winnsboro home after a lengthy illness. She was 80.
Mrs. Freeman, a native of New Orleans, had resided in Texas for the past six years.
Survivors include a sister, Effie Lancaster of Loma Linda, Calif.; a son, James T. Freeman of Winnsboro; five daughters, Faith Holland of Lucedale, Miss., Hope Harvison of Wilmer, Charity Calvin of Dallas, Star Bougeois of DeKalb, Ill., and Spring Kersey of Winnsboro; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
