Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Pearl K. Fischer

Pearl K. Fischer, a homemaker and resident of Eight Mile for 24 years, died Monday at a local hospital. She was 58.

Mrs. Fischer was a native of Alexandria, Va.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Fischer of Eight Mile; seven sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation will be at Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the noon services. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Ella M. Hattaway

Ella M. Hattaway, who had worked for many years for a local family, died Friday in a local medical facility. She was 76.

Survivors include her son, Milton Hattaway of Mobile; her daughter, Inez Hattaway of Detroit; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church on Craft Highway on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Pine Hill, Ala. Lovett's Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Beasley Durham

ALLGOOD, Tenn. - Mary Beasley Durham, a resident of Allgood died Sunday in a nursing facility at the age of 93.

Mrs. Durham was a native of Martin, Tenn., and former resident of Nashville. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service, where she had worked as a clerk.

Among her survivors are two sisters, Ruth Regitko of Easton, Md., and Rose Givens of Mobile.

Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville. Roesch-Patton, Austin, Bracey & Charlton Funeral Home in Nash- ăville is handling arrangements.

Jacqulyn G. Foster

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Jacqulyn Grant Foster, a former Mobile resident, died Friday in a Greensboro hospital. She was 54.

Mrs. Foster, a native of Montgomery, grew up in Mobile and graduated from Central High School in 1961. She received her bachelor of science degree in English from Southern University and her master of science degree in library science from Western Michigan University.

She had worked as a librarian in the Mobile Public Library System at the Davis Avenue and Parkway branches. She served as a reader service librarian at Alabama A&M; University in Huntsville. In addition, she had served as a media specialist in the Madison County, Ala., and Rochester, N.Y., public school systems. While in Rochester, she became the first president of the Greater Rochester Area School Media Specialist Association.

She had worked at Daniels High School in Clemson, S.C., until illness forced her to retire.

After retirement, Mrs. Foster volunteered with the Greensboro Urban Ministry Emergency Assistance Programs, Buddy Program and Bennett College Library Programs in Greensboro.

While in Clemson, she had served with the Manna Food Program, the Access and Equity Committee for TRI-County Technical College.

At Goldenview Baptist Church in Clemson, she served on the usher board, Community Outreach Committee and the Matrons' Club.

While in Huntsville, she had been a member of her church's hospitality committee.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Foster Sr. of Greensboro; two sons, Edward Foster Jr. of Anderson, S.C., and Forrest Foster of Greenville, N.C.; one sister, Waynetta Grant Black of Mobile; and one brother, Wayman R.F. Grant Jr. of Mobile.

Services are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Goldenview Baptist Church in Clemson with burial in Memory Gardens in Clemson. Adams Mortuary in Seneca, S.C., is in charge of arrangements.

Billie Smith Taylor

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. - Billie Smith Taylor, a resident of Trussville and formerly of Butler, Ala., died Sunday in a local medical facility.

Mrs. Taylor, 78, was a native of Sunshine, Ala.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Haney of Blacksburg, Va., and Betty Shearon Henderson of Birmingham; three sons, Henry Taylor of Butler, Robert O. Taylor of Tuscaloosa and Bill Taylor of Jackson, Ala.; two sisters, Sadie Kimbrough of Auburn, Ala., and Argie Ruth Martin of Butler; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler. Services are scheduled for 10: 30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Butler with another visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Butler.

Myrtle G. Tyson

WELCH, W.Va. - Myrtle G. Tyson, a native of Mobile and resident of Welch, died Dec. 12 in a local hospital. She was 87.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Faye Tyson of Memphis, Tenn.; her son, John Robert Tyson of Welch; one brother, William Gilbert of Mobile; one sister, Mary Louise Avent of Mobile; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Magnolia Cemetery with Serenity Funeral Home in charge.

J.C. 'Peanut' Boothe

J.C. "Peanut" Boothe, 64, of Citronelle, died Sunday in a local hospital.

Survivors include his daughter, Gloria Faye Malone of Eight Mile; his son, William Dutch Byrd of Mount Vernon, Ala.; three sisters, Louise Malone of Georgetown, Ala., Dot Malone of Citronelle and Carol Dueitt of Vinegar Bend, Ala.; three brothers, Grady R. Boothe, W. Leon Boothe and Harvey Lee Boothe, all of Citronelle; and five grandchildren.

Boothe donated his body to the University of South Alabama Medical Center. The family will hold memorial services at a later date.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Citronelle Rescue Unit.
