Loma Pettway Lewis
Loma Pettway Lewis, a native of Boykin, Ala., and resident of Mobile, died Aug. 20 at a local nursing facility. She was 75.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of First Baptist Church of Carver Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Oluvia Lewis; two sisters, Anna Young of Boykin and Beatrice Irby of Birmingham; three brothers, Marcus Pettway of Mobile, Fines Pettway and Bruce Pettway, both of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, with services at 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Carver Home. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery, with Reese Funeral Home of Prichard directing.

Willie Mae Finch
Willie Mae Finch, a homemaker and member of Sunlight Baptist Church, died Aug. 19 at a local hospital. She was 88.
Mrs. Finch was a native of Marengo County and a resident of Mobile.
She had been active in her church until her health failed.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Finch of Mobile; her sister, Rose Edwards of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at noon Saturday, with services at 1 p.m., at Mosley Funeral Home, 803 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in Prichard. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery.

Amelia S.T. Hollins
Amelia Scott Tate Hollins, a retired educator with the Mobile County Public School System, died Aug. 20 at a local health care facility. She was 77.
Mrs. Hollins, a lifelong Mobilian, was a member of St. Louis Street Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as past president of the Progressive Workers, past chairwoman of the Sun Beam, and a member of the Holloway-Robbins Guild and Queen Ester Circle.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Hollins of Mobile; her son, William S. Tate Jr. of Detroit; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home. Viewing also will be after 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Street Missionary Baptist Church, 108 Dearborn St., with visitation at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

DEBORAH PAULINE LEVINS
ROBERTSDALE - Deborah Pauline Levins, a native of Summerdale and a resident of Robertsdale, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999. She was 46.
Mrs. Levins is survived by her husband, H. C. Levins of Robertsdale; one daughter, Tammy Wilson of Robertsdale; parents, Alvin and Inez Scott, of Summerdale; two sisters, Wanda Scheimert of Bon Secour and Shirley Davis of Montgomery; and one brother, Otis Scott of Summerdale.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale.

EDWARD W. GATFIELD
GATFIELD - Edward W. Gatfield, a native of Muskegon,
Mich., and a resident of Lillian, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999. He was 73.
Gatfield was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Air Force and Army. He was also an active member of the Masonic Temple in Muskegon, Mich.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Gatfield of Lillian; one daughter, Sherrie Jo Robotham of Elburn, Ill.; two sons, William Edward Gatfield of Batavia, Ill., and Scott N. Gatfield of Portage, Ind.
Private memorial services will be held later.
The family suggests that contributions be made to Mercy Medical Hospice in Daphne. Cremation arrangements were handled by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory in Robertsdale.

Jesse R. Smith
Jesse R. Smith, a retired tree surgeon for a local company, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 56.
A native of Bibb County, Ala., Smith was a longtime resident of Mobile.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Pierce Smith of Mobile; two sons, David W. Smith of Irvington and Jesse R. Smith II of Mobile; three daughters, Teresa D. Smith of Mobile, Lynda R. Gregory of Mobile and Lisa L. Ruffin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four brothers, Jerry W. Smith, Kenneth O. Smith, Ronnie Smith and Terry Smith, all of Birmingham; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Patsy King Ellis
COATESVILLE, Pa. - Patsy King Ellis, a former employee of the Naval Supply Depot, died Saturday at a Coatesville hospital. She was 75.
Mrs. Ellis was a founding member of one of the Episcopalian churches in Mobile and served with the Women's Auxiliary of Frankford Hospital-Torresdale Division.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold Ellis of Coatesville; her sons, Dan Jones of Bensalam, Pa., and Bill Ellis of Perora, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Wednesday at Burns Funeral Home in Philadelphia, Pa., from 8 a.m. until services begin at 10:30 a.m., with burial at Rosedale Memorial Park in Trevose, Pa.
