Edna Sims
Edna Sims, a homemaker and resident of Mobile, died Monday at the age of 86.
Mrs. Sims was a native of Bay Minette.
Survivors include five grandchildren, Marva Gable, Henry J. Gable and Lisa Jones, all of Mobile, Yvonne Gable of Miami and Audrey Petterson of Montgomery.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, with services at 2 p.m., at Reese Funeral Home. Burial will be in Starlight Cemetery in Chunchula.

Victoria D. Hayes
Victoria Delores Hayes, who worked as a nurse at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, died Sept. 14 at a local hospital. She was 40.
Ms. Hayes, known to family and friends as "Vickie, " was a Mobile native.
Survivors include her father, Roscoe Walters of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and three brothers, Burnie Hayes, Lorenzo Hayes and Charles Hayes, all of Mobile.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, with services at 11 a.m., at Reese Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prichard Memorial Cemetery.

Samuel F. York
Samuel Frank York, who had served in the Alabama National Guard, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was 64.
A Mobile resident, York was a native of Birmingham, where he graduated from Woodlawn High School. He was a member of Parkway Assembly of God.
Survivors include his father, DeWitt T. York Sr. of Mobile; and his brother, DeWitt T. York Jr. of Birmingham.
Services are set for 10 a.m. today at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway, with burial in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Camie T. Salter
Camie Tanner Salter, a homemaker, died Thursday at her home at the age of 83.
Mrs. Salter was a native and resident of the Tanner Williams community.
Survivors include her husband, Mason Salter; a son, LaRue Salter of Tanner Williams; a daughter, Anne Salter Hixson of Mobile; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, with services at 2 p.m., at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Burial will be in Joyner Cemetery in Tanner Williams.

James Beauford Jr.
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - James W. Beauford Jr., a former Mobile resident, died Sunday at a Florida hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 45.
Beauford, a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., was a resident of Pompano Beach. While in Mobile, he attended public schools, graduating from Williamson High School. He also had been active in Scouting and JROTC.
He briefly attended the University of South Alabama before joining the Marine Corps.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, James W. Beauford Sr. and Bettie Stroecker; his mother, Delores Beauford; two sisters, Pamela Whitfield and Heather Beauford, both of North Carolina; and a brother, W. Alex Beauford of the Cincinnati area.
Services took place in Pompano Beach.

Tommie Riley
MOSS POINT, Miss. - Tommie Lee Rogers Riley, a former resident of Atmore, died Saturday in Ocean Springs, Miss., from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. She was 57.
Mrs. Riley was a native of Wilcox County, Ala., and a resident of Moss Point. She graduated from the Escambia County Training School in Atmore.
She was a member of Church of the Living God No. 297 in Moss Point. She served as president of the Women's Department and the Pastor's Aid Board, vice president of the 9th District Women's Work Department, and former president of the usher board. In addition, she was a charter member of the choir, adviser to the Junior Mission, praise leader and a missionary.
Other memberships included Order of the Eastern Star of Zion Chapter No. 610. She was a former member of Heroines of Jericho Court No. 140.
Survivors include her husband, Willie D. Wiley; and three daughters, Corriene North, Amy North and Irlena North, all of Moss Point; a son, Alonzo Freeman of Columbia, S.C.; three stepdaughters, Willie Mae Wiley, Denise Wiley and Yvonne Smith, all of Moss Point; three stepsons, Kenneth Wiley, Eddie Graham and Darrell Graham, all of Moss Point; her stepfather, William Stots of Atmore; five sisters, Doris Johnson of Milton, Fla., Sarah Flavors of Atmore, Elizabeth Rivers and Edna Humphrey, both of Boston, and Marion English of Bay Minette; five brothers, Calvin Stots and Daniel Freeman, both of Atmore, William Stots of Indiana, David Stots of Texas and Willie Stots of Boston; three stepsisters, Arnita Young and Sarah Fisher, both of Birmingham, and Wanda Jackson of Columbus, Ga.; three stepbrothers, Tommie Rogers, Michael Rogers and Melvin Rogers, all of Birmingham; 25 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 7 tonight at Church of the Living God Temple No. 42 in Pascagoula. Another service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Atmore with burial in Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore. Richmond Funeral Home of Biloxi is handling arrangements.

John W. Morgan
BIG BEAR CITY, Calif. - John William Morgan, a native and former resident of Choctaw County, Ala., died Wednesday at an area hospital. He was 75.
Morgan was a resident of Big Bear City. A veteran of World War II, he had worked as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Ludie Mae Morgan; and a son, John L. Morgan, both of Big Bear City; a daughter, Jeanette Morgan Anderson of Davenport, Fla.; a brother, Robert Morgan of Butler, Ala.; three sisters, Nettie Turner and Eula Lee Miller, both of Vernon, Fla., and Lennie Norton of Toxey, Ala.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler, with services at 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will take place in Loma Vista Cemetery in Brea, Calif.
