Cassie Helveston, a Pensacola, Fla., native and Mobile resident, died Saturday at a local nursing facility. She was 86.
Mrs. Helveston was a member of Lafitte Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons, William G. Helveston of San Antonio, Raymond E. Helveston of Mobile, Royal F. Helveston of New Orleans and Wilton L. Helveston of New Iberia, La.; three daughters, Virginia H. Beck of New Iberia, La., Helen H. Deese of Houston and Patricia H. Simmons of Mobile; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Indian Springs Cemetery.

Helen C. Jennings
SEMMES - Helen Clark Jennings, a Semmes resident, died Friday at her home. She was 68.
Mrs. Jennings, a homemaker, is survived by her husband, James L. Jennings of Semmes; one son, Michael Taylor of Harrelston, Miss.; three stepsons, Michael Jennings of Howell, Miss., Ricky Jennings of Semmes and Dennis Jennings of Roundrock, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn Clark of Ovett, Miss., and Linda Taylor of Harrelston, Miss.; two brothers, Alfred Clark of Richton, Miss., and William Clark of Citronelle; three sisters, Lillie Skinner of Laruel, Miss., Elmer Shoemaker of Picayune, Miss., and Frances Millard of Houston; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home chapel in Richton, Miss. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery.

Jessie L. Lambeth
Jessie Leona Lambeth, a Flomaton native and Mobile resident, died Saturday in a local hospital.
She is survived by three sons, Isaac "Buck" Lambeth, Hilton Lambeth and Bobby Lambeth; two daughters, Frances Barlow and Bonnie Lambeth Miller; two sisters, Grace Ashbee and Mary Hammac; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Serenity Funeral Home. Visitation will also be at noon Monday at Lambeth Holiness Church in Flomaton, followed by services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lambeth Holiness Church Cemetery.

Mildred A. Lucas
Mildred A. Lucas, an Evening Shade, Ark., native and Mobile resident, died Friday at a local hospital. She was 86.
Mrs. Lucas was a member of University Boulevard Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters, Georgia Creason of Pine Bluff, Ark., Frankie McKinley of Mobile and Betty DeWitt of Mobile; two brothers, Dillard Norris of Sacramento, Calif., and George Norris of Ash Flat, Ark.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with visitation one hour before. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Francis E. Busby
DOTHAN - Francis Elmer Busby, a Mobile native and Dothan resident, died Thursday. He was 86.
Busby, a graduate of Spring Hill College, served as general manager of WTVY television station in Dothan and was involved with other stations in Georgia and Florida. He was a former member of the board of directors for the CBS Affiliates Board. He also served on the advisory committee for the Battleship Alabama.
Busby was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Dothan, where he served as deacon.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Eve of Asheville, N.C.; one sister, Lucile Coggin of Mobile; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church of Dothan.

Byrd Funeral Home in Dothan is in charge of arrangements.

John R. Green
John Robert Green, a Live Oak, Fla., native and Mobile resident, died Friday at a local health care facility. He was 76.
Green, a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, served in the Pacific during World War II and in Korea and Vietnam. After retirement, he served as personnel officer at the Albert P. Brewer Center. He was a past president of the Optimist Club of Mobile.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Martin Green; one son, Dr. John C. Green Sr.; and three grandchildren, all of Demopolis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
