Funeral services were held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at 10:00 A.M.
Officiating was Rev. Arnold Tillman.
Pallbearers were Ken Purcell, Jake Brandenburg, Jr., J.H. Richards, Mark Miller, Charles Miller and Seth Peden.
Interment was in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruth Zirlott "Granny" Shores:
A native of Fowl River and a resident of Grand Bay died on November 20, 1999 at the age of 57.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery and Flora Zirlott and a sister Marion Zirlott.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde W. Shores and four daughters, Adelia (Thomas) Hamburger of Grand Bay, AL, Mary (Matthew) McGehee of Grand Bay, AL, Patricia Anderson of Grand Bay, AL and Grace (Rick) Krauzyk of Grand Bay, AL; one son/grandson, Bryan Wesley Shores of Grand Bay, AL; five sisters, Mary Johnson of Irvington, AL, Bernice Thompson of Coden, AL, Emogene Goodwin of Irvington, AL, Merle Rubly of Crestview, FL, Sandra Williams of Irvington, AL; eight grandchildren, Bryan Wesley Shores of Grand Bay, AL, Nicole Hamburger of Grand Bay, AL, Tommy "Pero" Hamburger of Grand Bay, AL, Gena Hamburger of Grand, AL, Bradley Hammack of Grand Bay, AL, Annie Anderson of Grand Bay, AL, Max Parfait of Grand Bay, AL and Casey Parfait of Grand Bay, AL; three step-grandchildren, Matthew McGehee of Hurley, MS, Ashley McGehee of Hurley, MS, and Kyle Krauzyk of Carrolton, MS, many other friends and relatives.
Mrs. Shores served as Den Leader of Troop #177 for many years and also served as Cub Master of the Grand Bay Area.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Grand Bay Cemetery.
Visitation was on Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Fred Earl Sloan:
Age 78. A native of East St. Louis, IL and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL died on Monday, November 22, 1999.
Mr. Sloan was retired from the U.S. Air Force and International Paper.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ferrestine N. Sloan of Mobile, AL; four children, Catherine (William) Whalen of Homestead, FL, Teresa Baxley of Mobile, AL, Leroy (Voncille) Sloan of Leesburg, Virginia, Mark (Cheryl) Sloan of Mobile, AL; 8 grandchildren, Dionne, Amy, B.J., Brad, Tara, Casey, Jay, Catherine; two great grandchildren, Kaityln, Cage.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at 1 p.m. from Pine Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.

Mrs. Laura Gray Hamilton Stewart:
Died November 22, 1999 after a lengthy illness.
She was a native Mobilian and was preceded by her parents, Jessie and Jennie Hamilton, her sisters, Jennie Marty and Annie Mary Hamilton, her son, Edward Martin Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Rear Admiral William Hart Stewart, USCG (Ret.); a daughter, Karla Bohn (Ronnie) of Lakewood, WA; daughter-in-law, Karen Yee (Al) of Winchester, VA; four grandsons, William Hart Wilson of Key West, FL, James Bohn, Robert Bohn, and David Bohn, all of Lakewood, WA; and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday, November 29, 1999 at Radney Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 30, at Christ Church at 10 AM, followed by graveside services at Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Margaret G. Terrell:
A native of Mobile, AL, died on Monday, November 22, 1999 at a local hospital in Pascagoula, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Trice Tucker and Frank Joseph Terrell, sister, Mrs. Artie Mae Druhan, and one brother, Frank Graham.
She is survived by one son, H. Graham (Myrna) Tucker, Moss Point, MS; one sister, Mrs. Edna Bella, Mobile, AL; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 26, 1999 from St. Catherine's Catholic Church at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM Friday morning at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Dorothy Frances Weddle:
Born September 22, 1925, St. Louis, Missouri passed away November 21, 1999 in Houston, Texas.
Her family and friends will forever remember her grace and unselfish spirit.
Dorothy was a registered nurse for 56 years working and giving of her time; most recently at University of South Alabama in Mobile.
Dorothy and Walt Weddle made Mobile their home for over forty years.
They were members and actively involved at Cottage Hill Baptist Church.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Preceded in death by husband, Col. Walter M. Weddle.
Survived by children, Walter M. Weddle, Jr. and wife Celeste and Kathie Weddle King and husband Randy; sisters, Martha Burrell of Houston and husband Wayne and Barbara Pierce of Roanoke, Virginia and husband Doug; four grandchildren, Daniel, Joyann, Paul, Rachel and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 25, 1999 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL., where Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 26, 1999 at 10:00 a.m.

Born September 28, 1955, a native and resident of Mobile, AL. She was the third child of seven children in the union of Clint and Ruth Gillespie, Sr. Mary Ann departed this life November 21, 1999 at her home. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing, husband, Arnold C. Greene; three daughters, Te-Keisha (Frederick) Roberts-Sheffield, Tamicka (Darryl) Roberts-McCloud of Atlanta, GA and LaShydra Greene o f Mobile; one step-daughter, Gyzelle (Calvin) Watkins of Chicago, IL; two stepsons, Isaac C. and Darren Greene; three grandsons, Martin Roberts, Telvin Roberts and Labarron Perkins of Mobile, AL; devoted parents, Clint and Ruth Gillespie, Sr; grandmother, Estella James of Jacksonville, FL; four sisters, Leevones Dubose, Bonita (Wilfred, Jr.) Durrah, Darlene (Daniel, Sr.) Henderson, and Alice ( Johnnie) Pruitt; one brother, William (Deborah) Gillespie of Oceanside, CA; one uncle, Jimmie E.
