Theodore Compton
Theodore Earl Compton, a retired certified public accountant, died Sunday in a local hospital. He was 79.
Compton, a native of Chilton County, lived in Mobile.
During World War II, he served with the 1st Special Brigade of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He participated in the D-Day landings in France, receiving a minor wound at Normandy. He also participated in operations in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn LaMerle Compton of Mobile; one sister, Hazel L. Compton of Mobile; two brothers, Clyde V. Compton of Mobile and William L. Compton of Sacramento, Calif..
Graveside services are set for noon today in Valhalla Cemetery with Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street in charge.
Memorials may be made to the Mobile Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Helen J. Donnelly
Helen J. Donnelly, a native of Canada and longtime resident of Mobile, died Saturday in a local hospital. She was 81.
Among her survivors is her sister, Sister Rose Ellen Donnelly of London, Ontario, Canada.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery with Roche-Belmany-Herrington Funeral Home directing.
The family asks that memorials be made to a favorite charity.

James C. Johnson
James Cecil Johnson, a native of Meridian, Miss., and resident of Mobile, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 76.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Doris Johnson of Mobile; three sons, Charles Morris and James David Morris, both of Mobile, Thomas Morris of Irvington; one brother, Timothy Johnson of Eight Mile; and one sister, Mattie Mae Boyd of Sacramento, Calif.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where services are set for noon Wednesday. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Johnnie D. Langham
Johnnie Doyle Langham, a native of McCullough and resident of Buckatuna, Miss., died Monday. He was 65.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Langham; two daughters, Diane Morris of Saraland and Rindy Crawley of Buckatuna; three sisters, Mary Lee Faircloth of Spanish Fort, Bessie Murray of Bay Minette and Louise Mosley of Saraland; three brothers, James Langham of Mobile, Melvin Langham of Saraland and Otis Langham of Spanish Fort; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Earl E. McKinney
Earl E. McKinney, a retired power plant operator for a local paper mill, died Thursday in a local health care facility.
McKinney, 85, was a native and resident of Mobile.
Survivors include his wife, Eddie Dixon McKinney of Mobile; his sister, Annie Lucille Brinkman; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services took place Monday at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland with burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

James Lewis Mosley
James Lewis "Tissaboo" Mosley, a veteran of the U.S. Army, died Friday at a local health care facility.
Mosley, 62, was a native and lifelong Mobilian.
Survivors include his uncle, Ernest Mosley of Mobile; two aunts, Margaret Mosley of Prichard and Edith Mosley of Mobile; two nephews, Jesse Mosley of Mobile and Mike Mosley of Atlanta; four nieces; and a number of cousins.
Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. service. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.

Bernice C. Cox
Bernice Catherine Cox, a native of Tennessee and a longtime resident of Mobile, died Tuesday at a local nursing facility. She was 94.
Survivors include four children, Edmond Cox of Englewood, Tenn., Emily Boothe, Rosie Cox and Renee Ferguson, all of Mobile; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. today at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family prefers that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
