A native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Theodore, died Monday, November 29, 1999 in a local hospital. Mr. Erdman was a retired Captain with the Mobile Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Elmina Erdman; one son, Malcolm (Jean) Graham, San Antonio, TX; two grandsons, Malcolm Graham, Jr., Austin, TX and Ken (Sandra) Graham, San Antonio, TX; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Anne Peterson
Mrs. Anne Peterson, age 78, a native of Opp, AL, and a resident of Fairhope, Al died Saturday, November 27, 1999. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, November 30, 1999, from the chapel of Wolfe Funeral Home, where Rev. Deral Rollings officiated. Mr. Thomas Robert Fanning, Jr.:
A native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Mobile died on Monday, November 29, 1999 in a local hospital. Mr. Fanning was co-founder of Heartsong Gulf Coast, was on The Board of Mobile Coalition, served many years on The Board of MASS and was an active member of Osias. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Miriam Fanning. He is survived by one brother, Kenneth Robert Fanning of New Orleans, LA; one sister, Maureen Fanning Long of Cleveland, TN; aunt and uncle, Alfred and Kathleen Morgan, Mobile; cousins, Glynn LaConsay, Robertsdale, AL, Kathy Lartigue and Al Morgan, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Ashley and Adrienne Long, Kenneth Robert Fanning, Jr. and other relatives. Visitation will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, December 1, 1999 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Mr. Woodie Lindy Gibson:
A native of Mobile, AL, former resident of Pensacola, FL for 25 years, and a resident of Mobile for the past 5 years died Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at his residence. He retired from the Civil Service after working at Brookley AFB and Pensacola NAS; he was a former merchant marine and a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Gibson was an extremely devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eldon Thompson and Norman Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Mylan Huggins Gibson; two daughters, Brenda (Ira) Nirenberg of New Orleans, LA and Verna Sue Gibson of Mobile; two step-daughters, Rebecca (Bob) Warren and Kay (Rick) Blackburn both of Mobile; two brothers, W. Berkley Thompson of Mobile and Vincent Thompson of Birmingham, AL; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Robert Elmer Gruver:
A native of Waterloo, Iowa and a resident of Mobile, AL for five years, died in Houston, TX on Monday, November 29, 1999. Mr. Gruver was a former resident of Houston, TX and a member of Semmes First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Janette Gruver of Mobile, AL; seven children, Christine Ames of Waterloo, IA, Greg Gruver, Rhonda Pearce, K.C. Gruver, all of Houston, TX, Elaine Banach of Gap Mills, WV, Kirby Gruver and Janet McCarty, both of Houston, TX; two brothers, Charles Gruver of Waterloo, IA and Jim Gruver of California; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from Semmes First Baptist Church on Friday, December 3, 1999 at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Gruver will be taken to the church one hour prior to services. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Easter Seals Society. Mrs. Sara Wanda Hindman:
A native of Ozark, Alabama and a lifelong resident of Mobile died in a Jackson, MS hospital on Tuesday, November 30, 1999. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She is survived by one son, Charles (Alice) Hindman of Jackson, MS; five sisters, Maye Knight of Pensacola, FL, Louise Truett of Mobile, Cile Bedwell of Mobile, Ruth Barnett of Hiram, GA, Evelyn Hass of Mobile; two grandchildren, Kimberly Chisolm of Clinton, MS and Denise Ranson of Pelham, AL; five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, 1999 beginning at 1:00pm with graveside services following at 2:00pm in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
