Lillian Black
EVERGREEN - Lillian Aleen Riley Black, a homemaker and Alabama native, died Friday at an area hospital. She was 80.
Ms. Black, a resident of Evergreen, was a member of Evergreen Church of Christ.
She is survived by five sons, John Preston Black of El Cajon, Calif., Robert Earl Black of Lillian, Roger Black of Honoraville, Ala., and Walter Eugene Black and Jerry Dennis Black, both of Evergreen, Ala.; a daughter, Joyce Black Wilson of Livingston, Ala.; a brother, Thomas Riley of Evergreen, Ala.; two sisters, Bessie Barlow of Bessemer, Ala., and Goldie Matthews of Foley; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen, where services are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Betty Denton
SURF CITY, N.C. - Betty Ann Hughes Denton, a native of Wayne County, N.C., and resident of Surf City, died Tuesday in Lowville, N.Y. She was 48.
Survivors include her husband, Neal D. Denton of Mobile; two sons, Mark D. Denton of Mobile and Jonathan W. Denton of Surf City; and three sisters, Linda Smith and Shari Hughes, both of Clinton, N.C., and Darlene Bradshaw of Duluth, Ga.
Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Crumpler Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton, with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Keener H. Gibson
WALNUT HILL, Fla. - Keener Harry Gibson, a native of McCullough, Ala., and longtime resident of Walnut Hill, died Thursday in Jay, Fla., He was 92.
Survivors include a brother, William Edward Gibson of Walnut Hill; and a sister, Charlaine Joiner of Cantonment, Fla.
Services are set for 10 a.m. today at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore, with burial in Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery.

Jacqueline Hinkson
RALEIGH, N.C. - Jacqueline Montgomery Hinkson, a native of Prichard and resident of the Raleigh-Durham area, died Wednesday. She was 45.
Mrs. Hinkson, a 1972 graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School, had worked as a supervisor for MCI Communication Network.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffery Hinkson; her mother, Nell Montgomery of Prichard; three sisters, Doris M. Jones, Cynthia Smith and Clara Smith; and four brothers, Bennie Montgomery, Percy Montgomery Jr., Charles Montgomery and Issac Montgomery.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Prichard, followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Reese Funeral Home of Prichard.

Zella V. Bauer
Zella V. Bauer, a native of Laurel, Miss., and longtime resident of Mobile, died Saturday at a local hospital.
She is survived by two sons, B.W. Bryan and H.W. Bryan; one daughter, Carolyn Jean Hancock; one sister, Ruby Kate Henderson; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at noon Monday in Pine Crest Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Pine Crest Funeral Home.

Mary Farnell
Mary Ethel McGuire Farnell, a Dothan native and Mobile resident, died Saturday in Montgomery. She was 86.
Mrs. Farnell, a member of First Baptist Church of Mobile, is survived by two sons, Edward Paul McGuire Sr. of Montgomery and Richard Jay McGuire Sr. of Mobile; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Greenwood-Serenity Cemetery in Montgomery. Arrangements were made by Alabama Funeral Homes in Dadeville.

Wade H. Hoffman
Wade H. Hoffman, a Mobile resident, died Thursday at his home. He was 84.
Hoffman was a former Army captain and World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Hoffman of Mobile; a son, W. Hampton III of Tuscaloosa; a daughter, Marie H. Holman of Atlanta; three grandsons; and a great granddaughter.
Services will be held out of town.
