Hazel E. Heckman
Hazel Elizabeth Heckman, a homemaker, died Thursday at a local hospital. She was 76.
Mrs. Heckman was a Vicksburg, Miss., native and a Citronelle resident.
Survivors include a son, James E. Heckman of Citronelle; two daughters, Donna Rowell of Citronelle and Ann Moody of Coden; two brothers, Robert Tyrone of North Little Rock, Ark., and Cecil Tyrone of Atlanta; a sister, Snookie Ivey of Biloxi; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Crest Cemetery in Citronelle.

Theodore Lewis
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Theodore "Ted" Lewis, a native of Atmore, Ala., and a resident of New Haven for several years, died Dec. 3 at a New Haven hospital. He was 50.
Lewis served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era.
He was a 1967 graduate of Escambia County Training School in Atmore.
Survivors include a son, Theodore Lewis Jr. of New Haven; three sisters, Betty Lewis-Jones and Shirley Porter-Longmire, both of Atmore, and Nealdra Lewis of Milwaukee; two brothers, John Edward Lewis of Milwaukee and Jessie Porter of Lakeland, Fla.
Viewing will be at Turner Funeral Chapel in Atmore today from 1 to 8:30 p.m., with visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Second Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Alexander Martin
PASCAGOULA - Alexander Martin, a Mississippi native, died at his Pascagoula home Tuesday. He was 76.
Martin, a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Pascagoula, was a retired painter from Ingalls Shipbuilding.
He was a World War II veteran and a member of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Martin.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Gilmer's Funeral Home on Zeigler Boulevard, where services are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Mary D. Hattenstein
CITRONELLE - Mary Deena Hattenstein, an assistant manager at the Dairy Queen in Citronelle, died Friday at a local hospital. She was 35.
Mrs. Hattenstein was a Michigan native and a Citronelle resident.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney Hattenstein of Citronelle; her parents, Roy Godwin and Mary Crochran, both of Murfreesboro, Ark.; a stepson, Josh Hattenstein of Citronelle; a brother, Dennis Godwin of Murfreesboro; and eight sisters, Judy Link and Bobby Almon, both of Murfreesboro, Linda Godwin of Nashville, Ark., Dawna Gilliean, Sherry Secrest and Lisa Sumner, all of Pocahontas, Ark., Terry Singley of Mobile and Tami Godwin of North Vernon, Ind.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle, where services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery in Citronelle.

Pearl Shamberger
Pearl Shamberger, a Mount Vernon native who lived in Mobile, died Thursday at her home. She was 92.
Mrs. Shamberger, a homemaker, was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Joey Shamberger of Mobile.
Arrangements will be announced by Gilmer's Funeral Service.

Vella D. Smyly
Vella Davis Smyly, a homemaker and resident of Saraland, died Friday. She was 90.
Mrs. Smyly was a native of Silas, Ala.
Survivors include a son, L.J. Davis of Eight Mile; a sister, Rilla Seaberry of Saraland; and a grandchild.
Visitation will be at noon today at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, followed by services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Kimberly Thompson
Kimberly Renee Fields Thompson, native and lifelong Mobile resident, died Thursday at a local hospital. She was 34.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Thompson Sr.; a son, Andy Thompson; her parents, Herman and Bobbie Fields; a brother, Benny Fields; and a sister, Sharlene Evans.
Visitation will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethel Holiness Tabernacle, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.
