Funeral services were held from Ashland Place United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Wesley Wachob.
Pallbearers were Mr. Sundberg's grandchildren: Shelby Guilbert, Neill Guilbert, Beth Guilbert, Austin Greer, Phillip Greer, and Ed Greer.
Interment was in the Springhill Cemetery.

Barbara D. Ayer
Barbara D. Ayer, a longtime Mobile homemaker, died Tuesday at a local hospital. She was 52.
She is survived by her husband, Walter A. Ayer Sr. of Wilmer; three sons, Teddy Biesecker, Billy Biesecker and Walter A. Ayer Jr.; four daughters, Mary McCue, Lisa Turner, Kelly Turner and Pamela Ayer, a sister Gloria Simmons; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, with graveside services set for 3 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Annie Black
Annie Bell Wright Black died Saturday at a Mobile nursing facility after an extended illness. She was 97.
A native of Manila, Ala., Mrs. Black had resided in Choctaw Bluff, Ala., for many years until her illness.
She was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church in Choctaw Bluff, where she had served as church clerk.
Mrs. Black also served as treasurer of the PTA in Clarke County and formerly served on the trustee board of Fort Madison School. She also had been secretary of C&B Order 19.
Survivors include a grandnephew who was her caregiver, Thornal D. Wright; four stepdaughters, Bula Black of Philadelphia, Pa.., Dora Black, Asaline Washington and Bernice Jones of Los Angeles; a stepson, the Rev. James D. Black; and 26 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral begins at New Canaan Bap
tist Church in Choctaw Bluff. Burial will be at Black Family Cemetery.
Azalea Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth L. Connelly
Ruth Lee Connelly, a native of Theodore who resided in Mobile, died Wednesday at a local nursing facility. She was 74.
She is survived by two sons, John Michael Connelly and Frank A. Connelly, both of Mobile; a daughter, Mary Andrea Grimes of Mobile; two sisters, Willie Mae Lott and Mary Estelle Gartman; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled.

De'Marquees French
De'Marquees Travieon French of Mobile died Friday in the Port City. He was 22 months old.
Survivors include his parents, Tiffany S. Farrier and Mark D. French; his grandparents, Margerat and Kenny Farrier and Angalica and Nathaniel Jessie; and three great-grandparents, Virginia E. Watkins, CeCelia French and Mary Jackson.
Visitation will be at El-Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 1200 Gayle St., today from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services begin. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Memorial Funeral Home of Prichard is directing.

Barbara L. Godwin
Barbara Lynn "Squeaky" Godwin, a native of Mobile who resided in Theodore, died Tuesday in Theodore. She was 18.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara Joyce Godwin; a sister, Cherri Godwin; a brother, Ronnie White; and her grandmother, Betty O'Reilly, all of Theodore.
Visitation will be at Serenity Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the noon services begin. Burial will be at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Ann Oliphant
Ann Oliphant, a Mobile resident, died Wednesday at a local hospital. She was 73.
She is survived by a son, William M. Bumpers; a daughter, Debbie Harris; a brother, Clyde Luster; four sisters, Gladys Oats, Quinnie Rice, Willine Stine and Fannie Mitchell; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are set for today at 10 a.m. at Pine Crest Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Virgie Scarbrough
Virgie Boling Scarbrough, a native of Lucedale, Miss., and longtime resident of Mobile, died Wednesday at her home.
Mrs. Scarbrough, 85, was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Mobile.
She is survived by three sons, Osburne "Tarzan" Scarbrough, Bobby Scarbrough and Jimmy Scarbrough, all of Mobile; a daughter, Ernestine Scarbrough Bragg of Mobile; a sister, Laura Carter of Mobile; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile. Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at Union Church Cemetery in Lucedale, Miss.
