Arnold L. Collier Jr.
Arnold L. "Red" Collier Jr., a greenskeeper for Isle Dauphine Golf Club for 25 years, died Saturday at the family residence on Dauphin Island.
Collier, 61, was a Dauphin Island native.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Peters Collier; two sons, Dauphin Island Mayor Jeffrey W. Collier and Kevin L. Collier; and a sister, Ann Collins.
Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. today in Dauphin Island Community Cemetery in Dauphin Island.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Radney Funeral Home of Mobile is handling arrangements.

Horace C. Jackson
Horace C. Jackson, who had relatives in South Alabama, died Friday. He was 61.
Jackson, who resided in Davisville, Fla., was a native of Escambia County, Fla., where he was a member of Bratt First Baptist Church.
He was a retired technician, having worked 35 years at Monsanto Power House.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Stabler Jackson of Davisville; a son, Darrell Wayne Jackson of Bratt; a daughter, Pamela Francine Jackson Brown of Davisville; three brothers, Charles Edward Jackson Jr. of Pensacola, William Royce Jackson of Poarch, Ala., and Julius "Punk" Jackson of Stapleton in Baldwin County; three sisters, Margaret Elouise Coleman of Enon, Fla., Vera Pearl Alford and Alice Nell Hall, both of Perdido; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will tonight be from 5:30 to 8 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial at Godwin Cemetery in Bratt.

Ceaser Gamble
Ceaser Gamble, a Thomaston native and Mobile resident, died Wednesday at a Pensacola hospital. He was 44.
Gamble, who retired from the U.S. Navy as a petty officer 1st class, served in the submarine fleet and was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Gamble of Mobile; a daughter, Melanie Gamble Francisco of Hawaii; three sisters, Barbara Gamble and Janice Gamble, both of Cleveland, and Gwen Gamble Heard of Huntsville; five brothers, Dennise Gamble and Michael Gamble, both of Medina, Ohio, Bruce Gamble of Demopolis, Wayne Gamble of Cleveland and Calvin Gamble of Mobile; and one grandson.
Visitation will be at noon Monday at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Services and burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Pine Crest Cemetery.

Lawrence H. Albert
Lawrence Harold Albert, a U.S. Air Force veteran, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 67.
A native of New York, Albert resided in Theodore.
He is survived by a son, Rod Albert of Irvington, and a daughter, Bonny Albert of California.
Gilmer's Funeral Service of Zeigler Boulevard will announce arrangements.

Dora P. Ervin
Dora P. Ervin, a member of Allenville AOH Church of God, died Monday. She was 88.
A native of Uniontown, Ala., Mrs. Ervin resided in Whistler and formerly resided in Jackson, Ala.
Known affectionately as "Dear Dear, " Mrs. Ervin would have celebrated her 89th birthday on Christmas.
Survivors include five daughters, Edna Miller, Ida Bell and Glo Walker, all of Mobile, Azalia Wright and Dora Stuart, both of Dallas; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m. at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home. A second viewing will be Thursday after 9 a.m. at Allenville AOH Church of God, 2930 Whistler Avenue, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services begin. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Tulsie Weaver
Tulsie Weaver, a retired sheet metal worker with Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding, died Sunday night at a local hospital. He was 86.
Weaver, a native of Mobile, resided in Eight Mile. He was a member of Victory Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Weaver of Eight Mile; three daughters, Eva Hall and Irene Oswalt, both of Chunchula, and Pamela Morris of Eight Mile; three sons, James Weaver of Mobile, Charley R. Weaver of Chunchula and Ray Weaver of Eight Mile; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

Judith M. McPherson
NEW ORLEANS - Judith Margaret McPherson, a native of Chicago who resided in New Orleans, died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 53.
Mrs. McPherson was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Pontchatoula, La.
Survivors include her husband, David McPherson; a son, Richard Norcross of Mobile; a daughter, Michelle Henderson of Citronelle; a brother, Wayne Casperson of Naperville, Ill; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
