Mrs. Audrey Thomas Lyons Battle
A lifelong resident of Mobile, AL passed from this life on December 2, 1999. She is survived by one daughter, Shioney Lyons, one son, Ken Lyons, two sisters; the devoted Bernadette Thomas Green and Virdell Thomas Bouchelion. In addition, Mrs. Battle leaves four grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and one aunt; Olga Forbes, two brother-in-laws, Conrad Bouchelion and the very special "Big Hen" Green, Plus numerous friends and co-workers. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 4, 1999 at 2 PM from Calvary Assembly of God Church with Rev. Cecil Turner and Rev. James Harris officiating. Pallbearers were Steven A. Byrd, Billy J. Byrd, Robert Bodiford, Adam Bodiford, Kelly Bodiford, James R. Jordan, and Herdis Bodiford. Interment was in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral services were held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, December 4, 1999 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Guy Mims and Rev. Roberson officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Captain Tommy Cheatham, Cpl. Bobbie Thomas, Larry Adcox, Huey Chapel, Robert Vogtner, Lt. Curtis Wright, Sgt. Todd Fulmer, Sgt. Tommy Ford, W.H. Robinson, John Baker and member of the Alabama State Troopers Office. Active pallbearers were Doug Buford, III, Ricky Buford, Gary Robinson, Lynn Carpenter, Bruce Robinson, Jr. and Clint Crawford. Mrs. Wilma Hastings Johnson
Age 83, died Thursday, December 2, 1999 at a local hospital. She was a native of Lutesville, MO and a resident of Fairhope. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Gadsden, a Fifty Year Plus member of P.E.O. and a charter member of local Chapter AB. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Dr. Q. Ray Johnson of Fairhope; three sons, Quincy R. Johnson of Boca Raton, FL, M. Scott Johnson of Potomac, MD, Dr. Charles E. Johnson of Montrose; one sister, Mildred Page of Marble Hill, MO, and twelve grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 6-9 PM at Bayview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 11 AM from the chapel of Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope with Reverend Joe Bullington officiating. Interment will follow at Montrose Cemetery. Mrs. Mary Ethel McGuire Farnell
A resident of Mobile, died Saturday, December 4, 1999 in Montgomery, AL . She was born February 21, 1913 in Dothan, AL. Graveside service will be held Monday, December 6, 1999 at 3:00 PM from Greenwood-Serenity Cemetery in Montgomery. Survivors includes two sons and daughters in law, Edward Paul (Ellen) McGuire, Sr. of Montgomery, Richard Jay (Camille) McGuire, Sr. of Mobile, and daughter in law, Sylvia Blackwell McGuire of Mobile. She was preceded in death by husbands, Edward P. McGuire, and Rev. William Reese Farnell, and a son, Charles Jordan (Juddy) McGuire, also surviving is sister in law, Elizabeth Kilgroe Griggs of Madison, MS; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Dorothy Martin Fleming
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died on Friday, December 3, 1999 at a local hospital. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Riese Club, two Mystic Societies and a retired employee of South Central Bell after 44 years of service. Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by three brothers, John Robert "Rob" Martin, James B. "Bernie" Martin and William C. Martin; two sisters, Catherine M. Page and Margaret M. Caminas. She is survived by her husband, Turner Ferrell Fleming; one brother, Thomas P. Martin; three nephews, Robert M. "Bobby" Page, John Julius "J.J." Page, Jr. and James B. Martin, III; five nieces, Charlotte A. Caminas, Harriet C. Tucker, Peggy E. Martin, Margaret Ann Martin and Beverly "Missy" Martin and great nieces and great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday, December 6, 1999 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, December 5, 1999 from 3-6 PM. The Rosary will be said at 4:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday after 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Victor Wallis Glazner
A native of Baton Rouge, LA and a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died in a local hospital at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Glazner was a graduate of McGill Institute, Class of 1959 and received his Bachelor of Architecture from the Louisiana State University College of Engineering in 1964. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He was a retired Commander of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. Mr. Glazner was an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, Past President of the American Institute of Architects, Mobile Chapter, and Past President of the Historic Development Commission of Mobile. He was also a Past Treasurer of the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th Degree Knight. He was a member of two Mystic Societies and a member of the West Mobile Rotary Club. Mr. Glazner founded Glazner Associates, Inc. in 1968 where he was the President and Principle Architect. He specialized in renovation and rehabilitation projects of architectural and engineering disciplines. His work includes the Marine Safety Offices in the Ryan Walsh Building, the University of Florida Graduate School at Eglin Air Force Base, the University of South Alabama Medical Sciences Department and the Marion Oil Corporation Headquarters, which is now the Sports Academy. His mother, Orma Lee Glazner, preceded Mr. Glazner in death. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Stromei Glazner; two children, Brad Glazner of Atlanta, GA, and Nikki Glazner of Mobile; his father, Charles E. Glazner of Mobile; two brothers, Kim E. (Carol) Glazner of Mobile and Mark G. (Laura) Glazner of New Orleans, LA; one sister, Terry Jean (Jim) Arrington of Mobile, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday, December 6, 1999 beginning at 10am with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am from Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
