Mr. Alvin Theodore Key:
Exchanged life for eternity on Sunday, December 5, 1999 at McGuire Veteran's Hospital, Richmond, VA. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Gussie Johnson, Virginia; sister, Mary Smith, Virginia, one devoted daughter, Tonya (Booker) Key-Pinkney, Mobile; son-in-law, Michael McCarroll; 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of friends and relatives, one devoted friend, James Jefferson, Richmond, VA. Funeral services will be held in Richmond, Va.

Mr. Walter Terrell McCants (Main-Main):
His sunrise was Jan 10, 1981 and His sunset was Dec 3, 1999. A native of Prichard, AL. for the past 18 years, departed this life suddenly Friday, December 3, 1999. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted mother and step-father, Mrs. Alice (Tyrone) Anderson of Prichard, Al; father Mr. Walter Anderson Jr. of Washington D.C.; two devoted sisters, Ms. Regina and Ashley McCants of Prichard, AL; two devoted brothers, Mr. Marcus and Joshua McCants of Prichard, AL; three grandmothers, three grandfathers, one great grandmother, six aunts, six uncles, two nephews, one niece, a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 11, 1999, 9:00am until the 11:00am funeral hour from the Prayer Tabernacle Church at 1223 Mobile Street in Mobile, AL. Elder Elizabeth G. Woods, Pastor; with Bishop Cornelius Woods, Sr., officiating. Interment to be held in Prichard Memorial Cemetery. Sympathetic and professional services are by MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 1302 Viaduct Street, Prichard, AL 36610.

Debbie Francine Miller (Murt):
A native of Mobile, AL departed this life on Saturday, December 4, 1999 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Johnson, brother, Terry (Teddy Boo), sister, Carolyn (Tuttie) Miller . She leaves to mourn her passing, a devoted mother, Mrs. Willie Mae Miller; one devoted daughter, Rhonda Miller; three granddaughters, Jakiya, Jator, Jade; one brother, Eddie (Squilla) Miller; stepbrother, Ronald Lee Godfrey; one sister, Mary Peggy Pierre; four loving nieces, Falecia, Terricka, Shakena and Brittney; five loving nephews, Andrew, Jr. III, Carlen, Marcus, Mykiea, Marlon, Marcel, all of Mobile; two uncles, Tom (Ora) Johnson, Moss Point, MS, Wiley Shelton, Cleveland, OH; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, December 11, 1999 from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 11:00 A.M. at Azalea Funeral Chapel, Rev. James Cleveland, officiating minister. Services of love are entrusted to Azalea Funeral Home, Co., 352 State St.

Sister Gladys E. Poellintz:
A native of Louisville, Winston County, MS, she was a resident of Mobile, AL for many years, departed this life on Saturday, December 4, 1999 at her residence. She was a faithful member of the Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Poellintz. She leaves to cherish fond memories, one devoted son, Edmond (Patricia) Gambeato of Newark, CA; one step-daughter, Mornitha (William) Philon of Newark, NJ; one sister, M.D. (Charley) Robinson; one brother, Earl (Ruth) Junior, both of Louisville, M S; one aunt, Susie Jemison of St. Paul, MN; one sister-in-law, Cecila Erby of Meridian, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, two devoted, Deacon Percy (Ella Rea) Harris, Sr. of Mobile. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 11, 1999 from the Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Earl St., Mobile, AL from 9AM until the funeral hour at 11AM, Dr. Michael E. Jackson, pa st or and officiating minister. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Cemetery. Services of love are entrusted to Azalea Funeral Home Co., 352 State St., Mobile, AL.

Mrs. Mildred Handley:
A lifelong resident of Mobile died in Alpharetta, GA on Thursday, December 9, 1999. She was a member of Springhill Avenue United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as the church librarian. She was a retired school teacher with the Mobile County School System. Mrs. Riddle is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Riddle and is survived by her children, John Richard (Linda) Riddle of Alpharetta, GA and William L. Riddle of Mobile; Grandchildren, Melinda Riddle and Holly (David) Morrison; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Friday, December 10, 1999 at Radney Funeral H ome from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Service times to be announced. Arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME 3155 DAUPHIN ST MOBILE, AL, 36606.

Mrs. Margaret Stanley:
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL departed this life on Monday, December 6, 1999. She was employed at the University of South Alabama as a Librarian. She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted son, Kenneth Stanley; four brothers, Eddie (Willie Lee) Stanley, Johnny (Linda) Stanley, James (Georgia) Stanley, and Willie Stanley, all of Mobile; four sisters, Johnnie Mae Stanley, Mary (Douglas) Hawthorne, Florestine Stanley, and Christine (Noah) Draine, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 1999 at the Delaware Street Baptist Church, 701 South Lawrence Street, from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral hour with Rev. John H. May, Pastor and officiating minister. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to HODGES FUNERAL CHAPEL, 701 Dr. M. L. King Ave, Mobile, AL.

Mrs. Eva Christine Storey:
Funeral services were held from the chapel of Radney Funreal Home, Saraland, on Thursday, December 9, 1999 at 10:00 am with Rev. John Ragsdale, Rev. Gary Mank and Rev. Gary Shockley officiating. Soloist was Jamey Ketchum. Pallbearers were Greg Toomey, Curtis Toomey, Mark Storey, Gary Storey, Ron Storey, Doug Storey. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral Arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 INDUSTRIAL PARKWAY, SARALAND, ALABAMA.

Mrs. Edwina West (Wena):
Age 96. A native and lifelong resident of Creola, AL for the past 90 years who was cared for by her cousin, Juanita Hall (Jimmie D.) Crenshaw and their children of Prichard, AL for the past 6 years, closed her peaceful eyes for eternity on December 3, 1999 at 10 a.m. at their residence. Edwina was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Harriet Jackson (Rev. Steve) Miles; father, Charles West and six (6) brothers and sisters. She was the last oldest grandchild of Andrew and Julia Jackson who came to Creola after slavery in croaker sack clothes and became great leaders of the Creola Community. Edwina is survived by her Senior Cousins, Amelia Johnson, Velma Jones, Isaac Burden, James P. Houston, Mobile, AL, Benjamin L. (Donna) Kirksey, Emma Robinson, Saraland, AL, Ruth Ellen Walker, Beatrice Boaston and Arthur (Barbara) Davis, Jr., Creola, AL, many younger cousins and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Walker L. LeFlore, The Visiting Nurses Association, La'Keisha Taylor and Patricia Johnson of Saad's Health Care Services and Racheal Harris of Senior Companion of Mobile County for the care they provided to Edwina. Visitation will be at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, Friday, December 10, 1999 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 1999 at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy 43, Satsuma, AL Rev. Joseph Barren, Pastor. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m . at which time Rev. Frank Young will conduct the funeral service. Her final resting place will be at Andrew and Julia Jackson Cemetery, Creola, AL. Funeral arrangements are by CHRISTIAN BENEVOLENT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 N Hamilton Street, Mobile, AL 36603.
