Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Mrs. Mary LaDocia "Docia" Billings Pennington:
Age 98, a native of Plaquemine, LA and a resident of Mobile, AL died Friday, December 10, 1999 at a local hospital. Mrs. Pennington was a longtime member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace W. Pennington, and three sons, W. Claude Pennington, Cecil A. Pennington and W. Glenn Pennington. She is survived by two daughters, Myrtle P. Rush, of Mobile, AL and Gwendolyn P. "Penny" Danison, of West Palm Beach, FL; two daughters-in-law, Vail R. Pennington and Aleen L. Pennington; one sister, Jessie B. Huff, of Bogalusa, LA; ten grandchildren, Mary Vail Pilgrim, of Saraland, AL, Linda P. Delaney, Walter Rush, Jr., Rick Rush, Martin Rush, Philip Rush, all of Mobile, AL, Robin Rush, of Winslow, AR, Vicki Rush, of Jackson, AL, Jeanette Hayes, of Delray Beach, FL and Yvette Hall, of Mobile, AL; four step -grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, on Wednesday, December 15, 1999 from 10 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Followed by graveside services and interment at 12 noon at Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dauphin Way Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin Street Extension, Mobile, AL.

Mr. James Edward Sayers, II:
A longtime resident of Mobile, AL died in a Daphne, AL health care facility on Saturday, December 11, 1999. He is survived by two sons, James Edward (Tes) Sayers, III, of Memphis, TN and Alexander Trawick Sayers, of Robertsdale, AL; his mother, Dorothy Geary Sayer, of Mobile, AL; one brother, Daniel Geary Sayers, of Mobile, AL; two nephews and other relatives. Graveside services will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery on Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin Street Extension, Mobile, AL.

Mr. Edwin Enfred Sundberg:
A native Mobilian died Saturday morning December 12, 1999. Mr. Sundberg served in WWII and the Korean Conflict retiring as a Colonel in the Alabama National Guard. He was a Graduate of Auburn University and a member of the Mobile Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Slosson Sundberg and Ruben E. Sundberg and his sisters, Frances Hudson and Ruth Sundberg. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Betty Jean Bowman Sundberg; two daughters, Mrs. Shelby (Peggy) Guilbert of Shreveport, LA and Mrs. A. Les (Laura) Greer; six grandchildren, Shelby, Neil and Beth Guilbert, and Austin, Ed and Phillip Greeg; a sister, Marion Sundberg McCall of Fairhope. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 1999 from Ashland Place United Methodist Church at 11am. Interment will be in Old Spring Hill Cemetery. The visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10am till 11am in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimers Association of the Lions/USA Eye Research Institute. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin Street Extension, Mobile, AL.

Mr. Woodrow Wilson Davis:
Funeral services were held on Monday, December 13, 1999 at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Finch, Rev. Robbie Holloway and Mr. Walter Broadus officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Darnell Smith and L.T. Dykes. Active pallbearers were Lee Davis, Mark Davis, Scott Davis, Charles Lyon, Ray Stiegler and Mike Davis. Interment was in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 DAUPHIN ST. MOBILE, AL.

Mrs. Sallie Mae Deal:
A native of Mississippi and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL departed this life Saturday, December 11, 1999 at local nursing facility. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted daughter, Mrs. Clara (Ira) Grissom; one grandson, Mr. Jason (Kenyetta) Grissom and one great granddaughter, Jemika Grissom; two devoted cousins, Viola Gray and John Clements; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 15, 1999 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral hour. Interment follow in Gethsemane Cemetery North. Sympathetic and professional services are by MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 1302 Viaduct St, Prichard, AL.

Mrs. Lema C. Dunn:
Funeral Services were held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, December 13, 1999 at 2:00pm with Reverend Don Campbell Officiating. Pallbearers were Charlie Etchison, Greg Dunn, James Goodridge, Scott McMahan, Robert Crabtree and Buck Townsend. Interment was in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by MOBILE MEMORIAL GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL.

Ethel L. Simonsis:
Age 85, a native of Chicago, IL, and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Monday, December 13, 1999, at a local hospital. She is survived by her husband of 68 years: Thomas C. Simonsis of Fairhope; one son, Ralph T. (Kathy) Simonsis of Mt. Prospect, IL; one daughter, Audrey (Ron) Barma of Fairhope; six grandchildren, Jay, Rich, Deb, John, Bob, Jennifer; two great grandchildren, Melissa and Justine. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 1999, from the Chapel of Wolfe Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. The family suggests no flowers. Arrangements by WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, 28720 U.S. Hwy 98, Daphne, AL.
