Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Williamson Brown:
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile died December 11, 1999 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alexander J. Brown, Jr., and her son, Alexander J. Brown, III, her parents Jack and Pearl Markstein, and Sanford Williamson, her brother-in-law, Dr. N. L. Brown, She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Joe Vella; sister-in-law, Dot Brown; five nieces, Joan Siegwald, Betty Woolley, Barbara Brown, Mary Lynn Farrell, Nell Dulion; her beloved friends, Hank O'Connor, Philip Everett and Michelle Eckoff; her pets, Major and Whitey. Mrs. Brown was a charter member and one of the founders of the Providence Gift Shop. She also served as president of the Mobile County Medical Auxiliary. She was active in the Mobile Opera Guild, The Old Dauphin Way Historic Preservation and Mobile Arts Council. Private funeral services were held Monday, December 13, 1999 at 3:00 PM. Officiating was very Rev. G. Warren Wall. Honorary pallbearers were, Dr. Nick C. Nichols, Dr. Kevin Saucier, Dr. C. Adrien Bodet, III, Dr. Patrick Nolan, Dr. Steve Alsip and Dr. Phillip Madonia. Active pallbearers were Bill McAtee, Tom Siegwald, Bobby Farrell, Lee Dulion, James Andrew Wall, and Henry J. O'Connor. Interment was in The Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Letha Buck:
Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at 10 am. Officiating was Rev. Johnny Howard. Pallbearers were Raymond Buck Jr., Phil Buck, Bruce Buck, Ashley Buck, John Buck, David Buck. Interment was in McCollough Cemetery in McCollough Alabama. Mr. Harvey Chappelle:
A native of Mobile and longtime resident of Satsuma, AL, died Monday, December 13, 1999 in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Smith Chappelle of Satsuma; two stepdaughters, Karin Cote' (Richard) of Charlotte, NC and Bonnie Smith of Fairhope; one grandson, Lewis C. "Chip" Chappelle, III, of Atlanta, GA; five great grandchildren; one brother, Lewis C. Chappelle, Sr. of Mobile; one sister, Audrey Jackson, Panama City, FL; one niece, Glenda Wills; six nephews, Lewis C. Chappelle, Jr., William L. Chappelle, James H. Chappelle, Thomas W. Chappelle, Michael D. Chappelle, and Rodney L. Chappelle. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, December 17, 1999 at 11 AM. Mrs. Esther Louise Eastburn:
Funeral services were held from the graveside on Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Steve Bailey officiating. Pallbearers were William G. Eastburn, Norman Carter, Billy Blacksher, Lee Carter, George Edward Merren, Jr. and E.J. Harper, Jr. Interment was in Pine Crest Cemetery. Mildred Campbell Fairchild:
A native of Enterprise, Mississippi and a resident of Mobile died Monday, December 13, 1999 in a local nursing home, at the age of 74. She is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Fairchild. She is survived by her son, William H. (Dianne) Fairchild, Jr.; three daughters, Sarah (Frank) Perry, Shirley (Chris) Harrell of Mobile, and Robin (James) Fuller of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; four sisters, Edna Earl Abercrombie of Mobile, Nellie White and Wynetta Jolly of Yazoo City, Mississippi, and Estelle McDaniel of Pleasant Hill, California; a brother, James Williams of Yazoo City, Mississippi; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Fairchild was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She was employed with Mulherin Custodial Home, where she retired after 26 years. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 15, 1999 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Radney-Belmany Funeral Home. Mr. Patrick Flaherty:
A native of Millville, PA and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL died at a local healthcare facility on Monday, December 6, 1999. Mr. Flaherty retired from the United States Coast Guard and in later years, he worked at Region's Bank in the Maintenance Department. He is survived by two children, Richard Flaherty and Bernice Sahlin; a devoted cousin, Charlotte Slater of Greenville, PA and two special friends, Gloria Lowther and Dean Dreaper, both Mobile. A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama was born November 17, 1978 and passed Friday, December 10, 1999. He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Mr. Paul Edward Goode, Sr. of Eight Mile, AL and mother, Mrs. Patricia A. Goode of Thomasville, GA; three sisters, Aletia (Eli) Seaborn of Montgomery, AL, Sherry Edwards of Tampa, Florida and Cynthia Oneal of Mobile, AL; four brothers, Patrick A. Goode and Jerry (Zelda) Edwards of Eight Mile, AL, Plummer Leon Wax of Huntington Beach, CA and James (Ellen) Thornton of Mobile, AL; grandmother, Aletia Austin of Thomasville, GA; three aunts, three uncles, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home Wednesday, December 15, 1999 from 12:00 until 5:00PM and at Saint Bridget's Catholic Church, 3625 W. Main St., Whistler, AL Thursday, December 16, 1999 after 9:00AM. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00AM at which time Rev. Leo Blanchet will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
