James W. Russell Jr.
James William Russell Jr., owner and operator of a Mobile plumbing company, died Friday in a hospital in Kissimmee, Fla. He was 57.
A native of Middleboro, Mass., Russell lived in Mobile for the past 21 years and was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Antoinette M. Russell of Mobile; his stepmother, Dot Russell Westgate of Middleboro; one son, James W. Russell III of Oldsmar, Fla.; two daughters, Patricia Marie Harper of Dauphin Island and Debra Ann Russell of Mobile; two sisters, Alice Franklin of Chicago and Hilda Patterson of Oklahoma; his half-brother, Billy Russell of Taunton, Mass.; three stepbrothers, Butch Bailey of New Hampshire, Eddie Bailey of California and Jackie Bailey of Middleboro; two stepsisters, Sissy Bailey of New Hampshire and Betty Ann Bailey Middleboro; and two grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at St. Monica's Catholic Church, with visitation from 1 p.m. until the services. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway is in charge of arrangements.

Elise Barry
DUBLIN, Ireland - Elise Conley Sapp Barry, a native of Eufaula, Ala., and former longtime resident of Mobile, died Saturday in Dublin after a brief illness.
Mrs. Barry had moved to Mobile in the 1930s and was a graduate of the Visitation Academy. She attended Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y. She moved with her family from Mobile to Dublin in 1971.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Rice Barry Grace, Siobhan Elise Barry and Tara Elizabeth Barry Barry, all of Dublin; and six grandchildren.
A funeral Mass took place Tuesday at the Church of St. Thomas O'Toole in Dublin.

Robert K. Gordin
ATLANTA - Robert "Bob" Kennington Gordin, a former resident of Montrose, died of natural causes Saturday at a nursing facility in Atlanta. He was 76.
The Jackson, Miss., native had moved to Montrose in 1984.
Gordin had owned the Natchez Trace Marina in Jackson, Miss. He was a member of the Fairhope Yacht Club and helped found the Singing River Yacht Club in Pascagoula and the Jackson Yacht Club.
An avid sailor, he was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
He was a graduate of the University of Virginia and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula.
Survivors include his daughter, Marian Gordin of Atlanta; his son, Robert Gordin Jr. of Bainbridge, Ga.; his stepson, Leslie Pittman Kerr of Nashville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, with graveside services at 3 p.m. in Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson.

Daniel Joseph Molony
SPANISH FORT - Daniel Joseph "Danny" Molony, a former resident of Mobile and a resident of Spanish Fort until entering William F. Greene State Veterans Home in Bay Minette, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999.
He was 76 years old and a native of Millville, Maine.
He is survived by his wife, Elease Molony of Spanish Fort; three children, Kathy McKinney of Rancho Palos, Calif., and Mike Molony and Pat Molony, both of Birmingham; two stepchildren, Gene Childers of Leesburg, Va., and Suzanne Mitchell of Decatur; one brother, Frances Molony of Baltimore; and nine grandchildren.
Molony was a 45-year employee of Alabama Dry Dock and Ship Building, known as ADDSCO, in Mobile. He was the assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troop No. 2 in Mobile, a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award and was a Vigil Honor Member of Order of the Arrow from 1966 to 1972.
He was a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church in Bay Minette and Christ the King Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Daphne.
Molony was also a former member of several Mardi Gras mystic societies.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.

Janet Marie Nitteberg
SILVERHILL - Janet Marie Nitteberg, a native and resident of Mobile, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at the age of 37.
Survivors include her father, Walter Charles Nitteberg; her stepmother, Francis Silva; two sisters, Julie McNab and Janell LeBrun; and one brother, Tony Nitteberg.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today in Silverhill Cemetery with Radney-Belmany Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Elizabeth Seymour
SPANISH FORT - The Rev. Evelyn Elizabeth Seymour, a native of Stamford, Conn., and a resident of Spanish Fort died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at a local hospital. She was 91 years old.
She was a deaconess for 39 years for the Episcopal Diocese and became an Episcopal priest in 1977.
Miss Seymour is survived by two brothers, William A. Seymour of Roanoke, Va., and Lawrence Alan Seymour of Bainbridge Island, Wash.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Daphne with the Rt. Rev. Charles F. Duvall, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast, officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 28788 N. Main St., Daphne, AL 36526, or St. James Episcopal Church, 860 N. Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532.
Funeral arrangements are by Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.

Dorothea Z. Brady
Dorothea Zieman Brady, a lifelong resident of Mobile, died Tuesday after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her husband, Carl K. Brady.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Radney-Belmany Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or the American Lung Association.
