Calvin Lewis III
Calvin Lewis III, a native of Dallas County and resident of Mobile, died Tuesday at a local health care facility.
Lewis, who was known to family and friends as "Honey Man, " was a retired truck driver with Henry Brick Co. of Selma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by seven children, Harry Lewis and Clemon Watson of Dallas, Texas, Henry Lewis, Thomas Watson Jr., Ethel Pear, Kitty Moore and Mary Ann Johnson of Mobile; his mother, Mary C. Lewis of California; one brother, Rushell McElroy of Orrville, Ala.; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at New Life Holiness Church, 951 New Jersey St. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Saturday at the church. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.

Felecia Powe
Felecia Powe, a native and resident of Mobile, died Jan. 14 at a local hospital. She was 32.
She is survived by a son, Anthony Powe of Mobile; two daughters, Mylena Powe and Monesha Powe of Mobile; her mother, Barbara Powe of Mobile; a brother, Dominick Powe of Mobile; and a sister, Miranda Moore of Mobile.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the noon funeral Friday at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prichard Cemetery.

William L. Powell
William Lionel "Billy" Powell, a former employee of the Alabama State Docks for many years, died Jan. 14 at a local health care facility. He was 67.
Powell, a native and resident of Mobile, served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserve. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
The 1950 graduate of Central High School had attended Spaulding Business College.
Survivors include his son, Terry Engine; one sister, Winona Williams of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and one brother, Samuel Powell of Mobile.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services Saturday at Central Baptist Church, 840 Reynolds Ave. in Prichard. Burial will be in Prichard Memorial Cemetery.

Dwayne Boykin
SELMA, Ala. - Dwayne Boykin of Selma, a former longtime resident of Mobile, died Jan. 14 at the age of 42.
Survivors include his parents, Jimmie Lee Boykin Sr. and Inez Mack Boykin; and seven siblings, Robert Lee Boykin, Susan Spears, Judy Mack, Jimmie Boykin Jr., Jeanette Harris, Anthony Boykin and Timothy Boykin.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Road in Brentwood, Md.

Emily R. Hammond
ATLANTA - Emily Roberts Hammond, a native Mobilian and longtime resident of Atlanta, died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Hammond, who was born in 1894, graduated from Montevallo College.
She was a member of North Avenue Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.
Survivors include her nieces, Emily Townsend Miller of Mobile and Cornelia Hammond Fletcher of Atlanta; a great-nephew, John C.H. Miller Jr. of Mobile; a great-great-niece, Emily Lockwood Miller; and two great-great-nephews, John C.H. Miller III and Edward Aubert Roberts Miller.
Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Friday in Westview Cemetery.

Edna B. Turner
LEAKESVILLE, Miss. - Edna Ball Turner, who had worked as a radiological technologist, died Wednesday at her home. She was 95.
Mrs. Turner, a native of Greene County, Miss., lived in Leakesville. She attended Unity Baptist Church in Neely, Miss.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonita Turner of Leakesville; one son, Linwood O. Turner of Leakesville; one sister, Noby Ruth Raffel of Wynona, Miss.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home in Leakesville. Services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Unity Baptist Church, with burial in Unity Cemetery in Neely.

Mayre Harris Mason
FAIRHOPE - Mayre Harris Mason died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at Mercy Medical in Daphne. Mrs. Mason, 87, was a native of Gantt, Ala., and a resident of Fairhope.
She is survived by her son, John Dupree Mason Jr. of Huntsville; two daughters, Patricia Mason Hall of Spanish Fort and Becky Mason Martin of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sisters, Helen ley; a daughter, Brenda Haynes Johnson of Fairhope; two sons, Bill Haynes of Bell Arthur, N.C., and Bob Haynes of Foley; a sister, Shirley Taylor of Maplesville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at the Haynes home, 1101 North Oak St. in Foley. The family suggests memorials be made to the Vergil Haynes Memorial at the Kugelman Cancer Center of Baptist Hospital Care Foundation, P.O. Box 17500, Pensacola, FL 32522.
Cremation arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale.
