Francis M. Loutzenhiser
ROBERTSDALE - Francis M. Loutzenhiser, a native of Greenville, Pa., and a resident of Robertsdale, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999. He was 87 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Violet M. Loutzenhiser of Robertsdale; one sister, Agatha Irvine of Greenville, Pa.; and other relatives.
Cremation arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory in Robertsdale.

R. Roy Cooper Jr.
R. Roy Cooper Jr., who had worked as a civil servant, died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 79.
Cooper, a Mobile resident, served as manager of a laundry/dry cleaning operation.
Survivors include four children, Ruben Roy Cooper III of Niceville, Fla., Richard M. Cooper of Colorado Springs, Colo., Lyn Bowman of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Mei Lyn Cooper of Auburn; a brother, Robert Cooper of Peachtree City, Fla.; three sisters, Margaret Baer of Eight Mile, Anna Johnson of Meridian, Miss., and Sara McGuire of Mobile; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services took place Thursday at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, with entombment at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery.

William A. DeTiege
CODEN - William A. DeTiege, a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Coden, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was 77.
DeTiege, a native of Mobile County, was a longtime resident of Coden.
A veteran of World War II, he served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Merchant Marine.
Survivors include three children, Terry A. DeTiege and Jerry L. DeTiege, both of Coden, and Vivian DeTiege of Newark, N.J.; five brothers, Edward DeTiege of Theodore, Raymond DeTiege of Mount Clemon, Mich., Maurice DeTiege of Washington, D.C., Matthew DeTiege of St. Louis, Mo., and Eugene DeTiege of Los Angeles; two sisters, Laura Livingston of Detroit and Rita Tabauteau of Tacoma, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial is set for 2 p.m. today at St. Rose of Lima, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Radney-Belmany Funeral Home is in charge.

Elsie Ree Durggins
Elsie Ree Williams Durggins, a Mobile homemaker, died Jan. 14 at a local hospital. She was 45.
Mrs. Durggins was a native of Camden, Ala.
Survivors include her husband, Essex Durggins of Mobile; a daughter, Wendy Colston of Mobile; five sons, Kerry Colston, Steven Colston, Fredrick Colston, Paul Willians and Theodore Williams, all of Mobile; a granddaughter that she adopted and reared as a daughter, Tiffany Smith of Mobile; three brothers, Freddie Williams and Fred Lee Williams, both of Mobile, and Paul Portis of Birmingham; and 19 grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Prichard. Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Emmanuel Baptist Church in Camden, with burial at the church cemetery.

John E. Flack
John Eric Flack, who worked as a laborer, died Wednesday at a Mobile hospital. He was 51.
A native of New Orleans, Flack resided in Saraland. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the war in Vietnam.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine Flack of Saraland.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial at Charity Chapel Cemetery near Citronelle.
Jimmy E. Hood
Jimmy Earl Hood, a lifelong resident of Mobile, died Tuesday.
Survivors include his parents, Atha Ann and J.W. Scott, and a brother, Stanley Eugene Wells.
Services are set for 3 p.m. today at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, with burial at Pine Crest Cemetery.

James L. Knowles
James L. Knowles, who had worked as a plumbing contractor, died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 84.
Knowles, a native of Mobile, resided in Satsuma.
Survivors include his son, James L. Knowles Jr. of Long Beach, Miss.; a brother, Richard W. Knowles of Linden, Ala.; and two sisters, Gladys Knowles of Chickasaw and Ruth Hartley of Satsuma.
Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Satsuma Cemetery.
Radney Funeral Home in Saraland is directing.
