James T. Cooper
James Thomas Cooper, a retiree of International Paper Co., died Tuesday at a Tuscaloosa hospital. He was 86.
Cooper, who resided in Saraland, was a native of Marengo County.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel W. Cooper of Saraland; three sons, Jackie E. Cooper and Paul David Cooper, both of Saraland, and Johnny Ray Cooper of Lincolnton, N.C.; a daughter, Etheleen Flournoy of Stanley, N.C.; a brother, Otis Lee Cooper of Hurley, Miss.; a sister, Cazzey Smiley of Linden, Ala.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Friday at Kushla Assembly of God Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Radney Funeral Home in Saraland is directing.

Kathleen H. Druhan
Kathleen Hatcher Druhan, a parishioner at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, died Wednesday at an area medical facility.
Mrs. Druhan, 85, was a native of Mobile.
Survivors include four sons, James Druhan Jr. and John H. Druhan, both of Mobile, Dr. F. David Druhan of Opelika, Ala., and Robert M. Druhan of Durham, N.C.; two daughters, Sarah D. Davis of Birmingham and Kathleen D. Geil of Mobile; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.

Elton Laffitte
Elton Laffitte, an employee of J&J Furniture Co., died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 55.
Laffitte, a lifelong Mobilian, was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Mona Smith of Mobile; two sisters, Mabel Jackson and Mary Ann Dew, both of Mobile; a brother, John Laffitte of Mobile; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be at Cedar Grove Baptist Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral begins. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery.

Sallie L. Skidmore
Sallie L. Skidmore, a native of Russellville who resided in Saraland, died Tuesday in a local health care facility. She was 87.
Survivors include three children, Betty S. Bavar of Saraland, Robert C. Skidmore of Citronelle and Donald A. Skidmore of Mobile; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Rodney T. Wiggins
Rodney Terrill Wiggins, a lifelong resident of Mobile, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 19.
Survivors include his mother and his stepfather, Belinda and Roy Westry of Mobile; his father, John Shanklin of Mobile; and three brothers, Anthony S. Wiggins, Ira Wiggins and Clifton L. Wiggins, all of Mobile;
The funeral is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Mosley Funeral Home in Prichard, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be at Whispering Pines Cemetery.

John Elmore Lee
John Elmore Lee, a retiree of GM&O Railroad, died Monday at a local hospital. He was 90.
Lee, a native and longtime resident of Mobile, also retired from the Mobile Country Club.
He was a charter member of the Casher Philharmonic Choir. A member of Big Zion AME Zion Church for many years, Lee was a member of the Chancel Choir and a formerly on the trustee board.
He was a member of St. John Lodge No. 2 and a 32nd Degree Mason with Prince Hall Affiliation.
Survivors include his sister, Ola Mae Lee-Brown of Prichard; two brothers, Frank E. Lee Sr. of Whistler and James W. Lee of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Allen Mortuary.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Big Zion AME Zion Church building fund, 112 S. Bayou St., Mobile, AL 36602.

Jerry Taylor Brannon
Jerry Taylor Brannon, a retiree of General Electric Supply Co., died Thursday at his home. He was 59.
Born and reared in the Center community near Newville, Ala., Brannon lived in Mobile since 1973.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie Grigsby of Dallas; his son, Todd Brannon of Mobile; two sisters, Cozette Killebrew of Newville and Mary Mims of Columbus, Ga.; one brother, Joseph Brannon of Newville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Holman-Headland Mortuary in Headland, Ala. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Center United Methodist Church near Newville with burial in the church cemetery.
