James R. Skidmore
James R. Skidmore, a retiree of GTE, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was 72.
A native of Chicago, Skidmore lived in Mobile.
The U.S. Army veteran was a 1950 graduate of Spring Hill College.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Felis Skidmore of Mobile; three children, Kevin Skidmore of Ringgold, Ga., Thomas Skidmore and Tracy Eckard, both of Hickory, N.C.; three stepchildren, Floyd Roell of Portland, Ore., John Roell of Houma, La., and Rita Roell of Pascagoula, Miss.; one sister, Caroline Etschid of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; one brother, Hugh Skidmore of Kansas City, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Little Flower Catholic Church. Serenity Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Michael A. Traylor
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Michael A. Traylor, a native of Warren, Mich., and resident of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday at the age of 26.
Survivors include his father, William Traylor of St. Petersburg; his mother, Ann Sechlin of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Karen Traylor of Albuquerque, N.M.; and his grandmother, Alice Traylor of Fairhope.
Visitation will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. services. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Craig M. Barber
Craig Martin Barber, a Niagra Falls, N.Y., native and Mobile resident, died Friday. He was 40.
He is survived by his parents, Alva H. and Mildred M. Barber of Mobile; one brother, Jeffrey G. Barber of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Christine Olsen of Brockport, N.Y.; a nephew and two nieces.
Private memorial services are planned.

Oliver Collier Jr.
Oliver Collier Jr., a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died Friday at a Biloxi, Miss., medical center. He was 60.
Collier, a retired rigger for Ingalls Shipbuilding, was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church, Olive Branch No. 1 F&AM;, Oriental No. 17 Order of Masons, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by one son, Michael Young of Albany, N.Y.; stepsons, Anthony Coleman and Timothy Robinson of Aranass Pass, Texas; one sister, Juanita Collier-Sims of Mobile; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Tuesday at St. Peter Baptist Church, 650 S. Bayou St. in Mobile. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Christian Benevolent Funeral Home.

Willie Mae Hodges
Willie Mae Hodges, a Lucedale, Miss., native and Mobile resident, died Friday. She was 79.
She is survived by four sons, John Maples, Ed Entrekin III, Larry Hodges and Roy Hodges; two daughters, Shirley Allen and Charlene McGallagher; one brother; four sisters; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the Oddfellow Hall in Bayou La Batre. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday from the Oddfellow Hall, followed by burial in Oddfellow Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Serenity Funeral Home.

Ramon Hoffman
Ramon Hoffman, a Mobile native and resident, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 51.
Hoffman is survived by his wife, Mary-Louise Schaffer Hoffman of Mobile; one son, Ramon Hoffman Jr. of Mobile; two daughters, Melissa Hoffman and Michell Hoffman, both of Mobile; his mother, Mary Helen O'Brien of Mobile; one brother, Eugene Hoffman of Mobile; and one sister, Phyllis Graham of Mobile.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street with the rosary at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be at noon Monday at Pinecrest Cemetery.

George D. Juzang
George D. Juzang, a Mobile native and resident, died Friday. He was 53.
He is survived one son, George Dominic Juzang of Berkeley, Calif.; his parents, George W. Juzang and O'livette Collins Juzang of Mobile; two brothers, Leland Juzang of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and Joseph Juzang of Birmingham; three sisters, Joycelyn Smith and Collette Bookman of New York City, and Denise Reid of New Orleans.
Arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Allen Mortuary.

Gloria D. Moon
Gloria Dianne Moon, a Milton, Fla., native and a Mobile resident, died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 52.
Mrs. Moon attended Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Ray Moon of Mobile; one daughter, Laura L. Phillips of Mobile; one son, Kevin Ray Moon of Mobile; and one sister, Cheryl Ann Hamburg of Mobile.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial in Pine Crest Cemetery.
