Thomas F. Savage Jr.
Thomas F. Savage Jr., a Bronx, N.Y., native and a Mobile resident since 1954, died Friday at his residence. He was 66.
Savage, who was known as "Mickey" to family and friends, was a graduate of Spring Hill College and an employee of the Mobile County School Board. He was active in the Boys and Girls Club of America. The local sportsman was also active in baseball and softball.
He is survived by three children, Thomas F. Savage III and Dennis N. Savage of Mobile, and Janice S. Wagner of Buford, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile. Graveside services and burial will be at 1 p.m., Monday in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Louis H. Sippy
Louis H. Sippy, a Sauke Center, Minn., native and Grand Bay resident, died Friday at his residence. He was 68.
He was a retired staff sergeant of the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Ingall's Shipyard. He was a member of the IBEW Local No. 733, and an active member of Grand Bay United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mariko M. Sippy; one son, Steve Sippy; one daughter, Shirley Vest; one brother, Bert Sippy; one sister, Eva Mae Kramer; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday at Serenity Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday from the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Juanita Churchwell
LEAKESVILLE, Miss. - Juanita Churchwell, a Greene County, Miss., native and Leakesville resident, died Saturday at a Lucedale, Miss., hospital. She was 89.
Mrs. Churchwell was a member of First Baptist Church of Leakesville.
She is survived by two sons, Floyd Churchwell of Leakesville and Glenn Churchwell of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two daughters, Eliza Marie Coaker of Leakesville and Sharron Nell Roberts of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Freeman Funeral Home in Leakesville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in McLeod-Magnolia Cemetery in Leakesville.

Ruth Dean Ballard
Ruth Dean Ballard, a lifelong resident of Grand Bay, died Sunday at a local nursing facility. She was 92.
Ms. Ballard is survived by three daughters, Paula Bolton of Foley, Lillian Brinkman and Oliva Ruth Marchand, both of Grand Bay; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. today at Grand Bay Cemetery.
Serenity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Charles T. Givens
Charles Terry Givens, a labor foreman with a Mobile contracting firm, died Saturday at local hospice. He was 45.
Givens was a lifelong resident of Mobile County.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Givens; three sons, Terry Wayne Givens, Bradley Givens and Michael Givens; his parents, Joyce and John Givens, and a brother, Danny Givens, all of St. Elmo.
Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 at Serenity Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family prefers that memorial donations be made to Mercy Medical In-Patient Hospice Center on Dauphin Street.

Eunice T. Simms
Eunice Targett Simms, a lifelong resident of Mobile, died Sunday at a local hospital. She was 85.
Mrs. Simms is survived by two sisters, Lottie L. Targett of Mobile and Dorothy T. Clayton of Daphne, and a brother, Leonard P. Targett of Theodore.
Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile, with the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Little Flower Catholic Church, with burial at Pine Crest Cemetery.

Amos B. Stallworth
Amos Bernard Stallworth, a retiree of Scott Paper Co. (now Kimberly Clark), died Friday. He was 82.
Stallwaorth, who resided in Mobile, was a native of Hayneville. He was a member of Hope Chapel AME Zion Church.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle M. Stallworth of Mobile; four sons, Bernard Stallworth of Chicago, Harold D. Stallworth, Ronald Stallworth and Gregory L. Stallworth of Mobile; two daughters, Annie Ruth Mouton of Dallas, Texas, and Naomi Jasmin Puckett of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Ulysses Stallworth of Mobile; five sisters, Francis Louis of Moss Point, Miss., Amy Lou Lawrence of Tyler, Katherine Carne and Helen Rudolph of Cleveland, Ohio, and Lydia Kidd of Mobile; 13 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. at Hope Chapel AME Zion Church, 1644 Wolf Ridge Road, in Whistler. Burial will be at Gethsemene Cemetery.
