Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Sallie T. Buskey

Sallie Thigpen Buskey, a native of Greenville and a resident of Mobile for many years, died Feb. 17.

She was employed by the Mobile County School System and was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church.

She is survived by four children, Bessie Brunson of Pensacola; Vara Buskey of Mobile; Earlyne Buskey of Orlando, Fla.; Adam Buskey Jr. of Pensacola; five sisters, one brother, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Aimwell Baptist Church, 500 Earl Street. Arrangements by Hodges Funeral Home.

Laura L. Williams

IRVINGTON - Laura Lawson Williams, a native of Grand Bay and resident of Irvington, died Friday at her home.

Survivors include five daughters, Brenda Stanton of Irvington, Willie Mae Brown of Grand Bay, Helen Biles of Detroit, Yvonne Jones and Carolyn Williams, both of Milwaukee; four sons, Ples Williams Jr. of Milwaukee, Shelton Williams and Claude Williams, both of Mobile, and Floyd Williams of Irvington; one sister, Edith Wright of Irvington; three brothers, Eugene Lawson of Grand Bay, Eddie Lawson of Moss Point and Elijah Lawson Jr. of Detroit; 28 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home. Viewing is also set after 11 a.m. Saturday at Freewater Missionary Baptist Church, 11470 Irvington-Bayou La Batre Highway in Irvington, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Burial will be in Fernland Cemetery in Grand Bay.

Elizabeth Cravey

SAN ANTONIO - Elizabeth Cravey, a former Mobile resident, died Feb. 15. She was 85.

Mrs. Cravey, a native of Milligan, Fla., lived in Mobile for several years while employed at Brookley Air Force Base. She was later transferred to Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Survivors include one son, Carl F. Cravey of Mobile; two brothers, Albert C. Wilson and Roosevelt Wilson, both of Mobile; one sister, Kathernell Wilson of Los Angeles; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at Bethel AME Church, followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery, with Hodge's Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Robert R. Howard

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Robert R. Howard, a native and former resident of Mobile, died Monday at the age of 29.

Howard was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, where he was also a member of the softball team. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors include his father, Roy Clayton Howard of Mobile; his mother, Dorothy "Dot" Howard of Lawrenceville; and his grandparents, Floyd and Alice Howard of Mobile.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, Ga.

Memorials may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church Building Fund, 319 Grayson Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30045; or the American Diabetes Association, Georgia Affiliate, 3783 Presidential Parkway, Suite 102, Atlanta, GA 30340.

Claude M. Brazell

Claude Milton Brazell, a resident of Mobile, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was 62.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Truffa Brazell; nine children, Claude Allen Brazell, Curtis Milton Brazell, Bobby Victor Brazell, Jimmy Joseph Brazell, David John Brazell, Charles Dewayne Brazell and Gina LaRose Brazell Parker, all of Mobile, Toni Marie Brazell Lundy of Grand Bay and Melinda Diane Brazell Draughn of Hamilton, Miss.; four brothers, five sisters; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 10 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway. Services are set for 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at Pine Crest West Cemetery on Snow Road.

Jarvis B. Cameron

Jarvis Bernard Cameron, 3, of Mobile died Saturday at a local hospital.

Survivors include his mother, Arkellian Cameron of Mobile; his father, Willie Bernard Cameron of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four brothers, MiLan Arreaga, T'shombi Cameron and Jervontay Cameron of Mobile, and Willie Bernard Cameron Jr. of Fort Lauderdale; his sister, Shanta Marie Cameron of Fort Pierce, Fla.; his grandparents, Regina King Arreaga of Mobile, Ella Howard and Acquilnado Cameron, both of Fort Lauderdale; his step-grandfather, Jerome Mosley of Mobile; and his great-grandmothers, Annie K. Smith of Atlanta and Jessie Bell Cameron of Pompano Beach, Fla.

Viewing will be at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home on Friday from noon until 5 p.m. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Saturday at El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 1200 Gayle St., with services at noon. Burial will be at Casher Cemetery.

Carol M. Hall

Carol M. Hall, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, died Monday at her Mobile residence. She was 78.

Mrs. Hall, a lifelong Mobilian, was Episcopalian.

Survivors include a niece, Wanda J. Hall of Mobile; a nephew, Eugene "Sonny" Hall of Silverhill; and several cousins.

Graveside services are set for 3 p.m. today at Magnolia Cemetery.

Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street is in charge.
