Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

William F. Jefcoat

William F. Jefcoat, who had been employed by U.S. Steel for 42 years, died Sunday at the age of 70.

Jefcoat was a lifelong Mobilian.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Margaret Jefcoat; two daughters, Deborah Fontaine and Cynthia Sayre; three sons, Stewart Jefcoat, David Jefcoat and Michael Jefcoat; two sisters, Joan Ridlon and Phyllis Lake; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Radney-Belmany Funeral Home on Grelot Road. Graveside services are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Florence P. Wright

Florence Peters Wright, who had worked for many years as a bookkeeper, died Wednesday at a local hospital. She was 67.

Mrs. Wright, a native of Dauphin Island, was a former resident of Valdosta, Ga. She had lived in Mobile for the past sev- ăeral years.

Survivors include three brothers, Harold Peters of Theodore, Lionel Peters of Dauphin Island and Emanuel Peters of Coden; four sisters, Velma Murdock of Mobile, Eunice Wainwright of Pascagoula, Betty Jean Collier of Dauphin Island and Cynthia Reece of Grand Bay.

Graveside services were held at noon Wednesday in Dauphin Island Cemetery under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home.

Condie Harvell

PINE HILL - Condie Harvell, who had worked as a farmer, died Monday at a nursing facility in Camden, Ala. He was 84.

Harvell, a native of Wilcox County and resident of Pine Hill, was a member of Yellow Bluff Baptist Church.

Among his survivors is his wife, Ruth Harvell of Pine Hill.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, where services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill.

Bobbie C. Strickland

ABBEVILLE, Ala. - Bobbie C. Strickland, a lifelong resident of the Abbeville area, died Feb. 22 in a Birmingham hospital after an extended illness. She was 58.

Mrs. Strickland, a nurse, received her education in Henry County and later graduated from Sparks State Technical College with a degree in business. She also graduated from George C. Wallace State Community College, where she had studied to be a registered nurse.

Survivors include her husband, Henry H. Strickland of Abbeville; four sons, Mark ă Strickland, Brent Strickland and Coy Strickland, all of Abbeville, and Dwain Strickland of St. Stephens; and eight grandchildren.

Services took place Wednesday at Old Zion Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary handled arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2286 Montgomery Highway, Dothan, AL 36302; the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 6267 Dothan, AL 36302; or Old Zion Baptist Church, c/o Johnnie Davis, Route 1 Box 114, Abbeville, AL 36310.

Jack O. Everett

Jack Olando Everett, a native of Mobile County and resident of Semmes, died Monday at his home. He was 73.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Everett of Semmes and Noland Everett of Wilmer; two sisters, Kattie Lou Mills of Big Stone Gap, Va., and Lois Gunter of Carlton, Ala.; one brother, Jasper Everett of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Services are set for 11 a.m. today at Valhalla Memorial Gardens with Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home of Semmes in charge.

William R. McGough

CHUNCHULA - William Robert McGough, an infant, died Saturday in a Mobile hospital.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Melissa McGough of Chunchula; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Shelia Price of Searmont, Maine; and his maternal grandparents, William and Janice Frazier of Citronelle.

Graveside services are set for noon Thursday in Lambert Grove Cemetery in Citronelle, with Freeman Funeral Home of Citronelle directing.

Fairy L. Rutherford

Fairy Lucille Rutherford, a resident of Mobile who attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church, died Monday at a local hospital.

Mrs. Rutherford, 83, was a native of Shreveport, La.

She is survived by her son, John Rutherford.

Visitation will be in the Miles Chapel at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. with the Rite of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Radney-Belmany Funeral Home on Grelot Road is in charge of arrangements.
