Johnnie D. Hearn
KENNESAW, Ga. - Johnnie D. Hearn, a former resident of Mobile, died Tuesday in Marietta, Ga. She was a native of Enterprise, Ala., and a resident of Kennesaw.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Earl Hearn Jr. of Kennesaw; one daughter, Beverly E. Skeen of Kennesaw; one sister, Wrencie Watts of Spanish Fort; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Charles V. Jordan
HAWKINSVILLE, Ga. - Charles Vaun Jordan, a native Mobilian, died Monday in Pulaski County, Ga.
Jordan, 65, was a resident of Hawkinsville.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He was also retired from Anchor Glass Co. in Warner Robins, Ga., where he had worked as a general mechanic.
He was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Hawkinsville.
Survivors include his wife, Linda G. Jordan of Hawkinsville; three daughters, Terry Dingler of Hawkinsville, Gloria Coussons of Roberta, Ga., and Karen Katrycz of Weatherford, Texas; two brothers, Irvin Jordan and George Jordan, both of Mobile; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the Jordan residence at Route 2 Upper River Road in Hawkinsville.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Westview Baptist Church, with burial in Pulaski Bleckley Memorial Gardens in Bleckley County, Ga. Clarke Funeral Home of Hawkinsville in is charge of arrangements.

Nola McClammy
Nola Louise McClammy, who had worked as a switchboard operator for Mobile County, died Friday in a local hospital.
Mrs. McClammy, a native of Zalaski, Ohio, was a resident of Mobile.
A member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church, she had served as a Sunday school teacher for more than 22 years.
For many years, she had volunteered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and had received four awards for her outstanding service to the organization.
She was a member and past vice president of the PBX Club of Mobile.
Survivors include two sons, Joe C. McClammy of Gulfport, and Carl Wayne McClammy of Theodore; one sister, Lucille Ellis of Flomaton, Ala.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are set for noon Monday at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway, with visitation from 10 a.m. until services. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Laura Joann Farmer
MOUNT VERNON - Laura Joann Farmer, who worked as a nurse's aide, died Thursday in a local hospital. She was 45.
Mrs. Farmer was a native and resident of Mount Vernon.
Survivors include her husband, George Farmer of Mount Vernon; her father, Jerry Sullivan of Whistler; two sons, James Cecil Farmer of Mount Vernon and John Anthony Farmer of Citronelle; one daughter, Laurie Danielle Farmer of Citronelle; two brothers, Mickey Sullivan and Tisdale Sullivan, both of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Linda Byrd and Rose Weaver, both of Mount Vernon; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. Services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with burial in Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

Vancy Mizzell Sr.
Vancy Harding Mizzell Sr., who retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1982, died Thursday at a local hospital. He was 78.
The Sycamore, Ala., native was a resident of Mobile for more than 40 years and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church since 1963.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mizzell had served in both the Pacific and the Atlantic.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Zara Beckett Mizzell of Mobile; two daughters, Mary Mizzell of Arlington, Texas, and Emily Mizzell Pittman of Mobile; one son, Van H. Mizell Jr. of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's treatment and research; or to the American Cancer Society.

Jerry Allen Ashworth
Jerry Allen Ashworth, a Satsuma resident and Birmingham native, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 61.
Survivors include a companion, Dorothy J. Smith of Citronelle; two stepsons, Darrell Allen of Calera and Michael Vaughn of Louisville, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Tina Autrey of Theodore and Melissa Vaughn of Eight Mile; and 11 step-grandchildren.
No services are set. Arrangements are by Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

William Cruzan Jr.
William Stockbridge Cruzan Jr., a retired supervisor with the city of Mobile's Municipal Garage, died Jan. 16 in Maryland.
The Mobile resident retired in 1996. He was a communicant at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Cruzan, 71, had undergone surgery for lung cancer in August of 1996.
After his retirement, he took up fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and traveling by train. He also enjoyed model trains.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Rachel Holmes Cruzan of Mobile; four children, William Stockbridge Cruzan III of Germantown, Md., James Thomas Cruzan Sr. of Ladson, S.C., Richard Eugene Cruzan of North Charleston, S.C., and Joseph Forteney Cruzan of Charleston, S.C.; one daughter, Maryellen Cruzan Chambers of Trion, Ga.; two sisters, Charlotte Cruzan Hare of Spokane, Wash., and Carol Cruzan of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church with visitation in the church parlor prior to the service. Burial will be in Trinity's Memorial Garden.
Memorials may be made to Trinity's Endowment Fund.
