Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Colonel P. Weaver Jr.

WILMER - Colonel P. Weaver Jr., a native of Bartow, Fla., and longtime resident of Mobile County, died Saturday at the age of 53.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanna Bush Weaver of Wilmer; two children, Debra Weaver of Birmingham and Bubba Weaver of Wilmer; one sister, Mae Oberton of Pensacola; one brother, William Shirley Weaver of Clarksville, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home in Semmes. No services will be held.

Athalene E. Mayo

PENSACOLA - Athalene E. Mayo, a retired officer of Gulf Power Co., died Sunday at the age of 85.

Mrs. Mayo had been Gulf Power's first corporate officer.

The Nashville, Tenn., native had lived in Pensacola since the early 1940s. She was a member of Richards Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mayo was an active member of the Pilots Club for 38 years and had been a former president. She was also a member of the national Secretary Association and had been named secretary of the year. She worked with numerous charities, including the National Habitat for Humanity, retarded citizens groups and others.

Survivors include her son, Louis H. Mayo of Mobile; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway in Pensacola, with visitation from 10 a.m. until services. Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Richards Memorial United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.

Frank Valrie

EVANSTON, Ill. - Frank Valrie, a native of Montrose and a longtime resident of Evanston, died Sunday at the age of 60.

Valrie had worked as a painter and interior decorator. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church of Evanston.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brown Valrie of Evanston; four sons, Tracy Donnell Valrie of Evanston, Frank Valrie Jr. of Kansas City, Kan., James Bernard Valrie of Mobile and Anthony Valrie of Phoenix; three daughters, Janice Elaine Moore of Mobile, Toni Valrie of Gary, Ind., and Myrtle Abrams of Atlanta; his mother, Mary Lee Valrie of Montrose; four brothers, Raymond Valrie Jr. of Los Angeles, James Valrie of Bellwood, Ill., Morris Valrie of Chandler, Ariz., and John Marshall of Chicago; five sisters, Willie Mae Henry of Spanish Fort, Glenita Bishop of Montrose, Marjorie Pitzer of Kaiilua Kona, Hawaii, Minyon Perrin of Mesa, Ariz., and Jackie Valrie of Chandler; and 16 grandchildren.

Arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Allen Mortuary.

Lennis Austin Adcock

MORTON, Miss. - Lennis Austin Adcock, a resident of Morton, Miss., died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at his home after a battle with cancer. He was 69.

Adcock, a native of Smith County, Miss., was a longtime employee of Forest Packing Co., where he worked as a plant superintendent.

The U.S. Army veteran was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Smith County and White Oak Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Adcock of Morton; three sons, William Warren Adcock of Fairhope, Paul Austin Adcock of Clinton, Miss., and Henry Frank Adcock of Morton; four daughters, Patricia Gail Berry of Madison, Miss., Tammie Lynette Richardson of Brandon, Miss., Brenda Ann Monajjem of Indianola, Miss., and Betty Jean Cox of Forest, Miss.; two stepsons, Kenneth Lee Hall of Magee, Miss., and Terry Alton Hall of Jackson, Miss.; nine brothers, Leonard Adcock of Philadelphia, Miss., Kemis Adcock of Hermanville, Miss., Lamar Adcock of Trenton, Ohio, Bartley Adcock, Norman Adcock, Prentiss Adcock and John Adcock, all of Morton, L.D. Adcock of San Antonio, and Ernest Adcock of Raleigh, Miss.; one sister, Ina Jean Thornton of Raleigh, Miss.; and 10 grandchildren.

Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Sardis Baptist Church in Smith County, Miss. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is handling arrangements.

Allen Chisholm

Allen Chisholm, a native of Selma and resident of Mobile, died Saturday at a local hospital at the age of 57.

Survivors include his son, Ryan Franks of Mobile; one sister, Georgia Harrell of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and two brothers, Frank Collins of Passaic, N.J., and Mack Zanders of Upland, Calif.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, where visitation is set for Saturday from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. services. Burial will be in Casher Cemetery.

Susie C. Stoker

Susie Covington Stoker, 89, died Wednesday at a local health care facility.

Survivors include eight children, Jean Baggett, Genevieve Hayaski, Reese Stoker, Irene Parmer, the Rev. James O. Stoker, Thomas Stoker, Mary Josephine Parmer and Faye Johnson.

Radney Funeral Home in Saraland is in charge of arrangements.

Belen Baluyut

Belen Serrano-Pajarillaga Baluyut, a retired nurse, died Sunday in a local hospital.

Mrs. Baluyut, a native of the Philippines, was a registered nurse and had worked in various places, including Galveston, Texas, Norfolk, Va., and Key West, Fla., before retiring in Mobile in 1972.

She was a member of the Filipino-American Association of Greater Mobile and a founder of Samahang Sampaguita Association.

She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where she served with the choir. Mrs. Baluyut enjoyed crafts and served as a wedding coordinator and special events planner.

Survivors include her husband, Pedro G. Baluyut Sr. of Mobile; four children, Pedro G. Baluyut Jr., Joel Baluyut and Arlene Baluyut, all of Mobile, and Christine Baluyut of Birmingham; one sister, Paz Pajarillaga Bautista; two brothers, Martin Pajarillaga Jr. and Carlos Pajarillaga; and one granddaughter.

Services are set for noon today at St. John United Methodist Church, with visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens, with Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in charge.

Memorials may be made to St. John United Methodist Church or to the church choir.
