William G. Bankston
William G. Bankston, a retiree of Ideal Cement Co., died Tuesday at a local health care facility. He was 62.
Bankston, a native of Peterson in Tuscaloosa County, lived in Satsuma for the past 22 years. He was a member of Creola Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria R. Bankston of Satsuma; three children, Jeff Bankston and Bradley Bankston, both of Mobile, and Belinda Conner of Chunchula; one brother, James A. Bankston Sr. of Satsuma; one sister, Jimmie Rylee of Satsuma; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Calvin Bosarge Sr.
CODEN - Calvin E. Bosarge Sr., who had worked in the commercial seafood industry, died Monday in Virginia Beach, Va. He was 71.
Bosarge, a lifelong resident of Coden, had been office manager at Graham Seafood.
He was a member of Sage Avenue Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Willietta Graham Bosarge of Coden; three sons, Calvin Bosarge Jr. of Bayou La Batre, Mark E. Bosarge of Irvington and Kyle M. Bosarge of Dallas, Ga.; one sister, Rachel Givens of Grand Bay; eight brothers, Wilmer Bosarge of Bayou La Batre, Avon Bosarge of Enterprise, Ala., Hiram Bosarge and Allen Bosarge, both of Fowl River, Warren Bosarge of Irvington, Keith Bosarge, Charles Bosarge and Hudson Bosarge, all of Mobile; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at Serenity Funeral Home. Services are set for noon Friday at the funeral home, with burial at Oddfellows Cemetery in Bayou La Batre.

Levander Ferrell
Levander Ferrell, a longtime resident of Gulfport, died Monday at a nursing facility in Mobile. She was 80.
Ms. Ferrell was a native of Bay Springs, Miss. She was a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church of Gulfport, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a bible scholar and a member of the Ladies Mission.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Ceola Hughes of Mobile and Veola Dorsey of Warner Robins, Ga.; two sons, Lester K. Clayton of Philadelphia, Pa., and Thomas G. Clayton of Gulfport; one brother, George Ferrell of Gulfport; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Greater Mount Olive Church in Gulfport on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the noon services, with burial at Monroe Memorial Cemetery in Gulfport.
Richmond Funeral Home, 1700 30th Avenue in Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Jimmerson
Robert Earl Jimmerson, who attended Parkview Church of God in Saraland, died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 63.
A native of Toxey, Ala., Jimmerson was a longtime resident of Mobile County and Quitman, Miss.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Owens Jimmerson of Quitman; three children, Deborah Kay Tanner of Saraland, and Robert Jeffery Jimmerson and Sandra Dianne Vannoy, both of Mobile; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Ottie V. Ivey
Ottie V. Ivey, a Wilmer homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, died Tuesday at her home. She was 82.
A native of Mississippi, Mrs. Ivey was a former Sunday school secretary at her church.
Survivors include two children, Virginia Ryals of Wilmer and Jerry Ivey of Mobile; three brothers, C.K. Moss, Harry Moss and William Moss, all of Mississippi; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Barton Baptist Church in Mississippi.

Rosie Taylor
Rosie Taylor, a member of New Bayside Missionary Baptist Church for more than 40 years, died Friday at her Mobile home.
Mrs. Taylor was a native of Sumter County.
Among her survivors are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at New Bayside Missionary Baptist Church, 950 Weinacker Ave., after 9 a.m. Saturday, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the noon services. Burial will be at Whispering Pines Cemetery.
Christian Benevolent Funeral Home is in charge.

Ida Belle Caraway
WALNUT HILL, Fla. - Ida Belle Caraway, a Walnut Hill homemaker, died Wednesday in Atmore. She was 86.
Mrs. Caraway was a native of Davisville, Fla.
Survivors include a son, Donald Guss Caraway of Atmore; a daughter, Ann Thompson of Walnut Hill; a sister, Thelma Brown of Santa Ana, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore, where services are set for 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Pine Barren Cemetery.
