Funeral for Roosevelt Lloyd, 64, of Moulton was Thursday at noon at Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. H.N. Snodgrass officiating.
Burial was in Moulton City Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Lloyd died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, Tenn. He was born June 30, 1935, in Lawrence County to Dan and Hattie Gibson Lloyd.
He is survived by his mother of Moulton; and one sister, Hattie Pearl McDaniel of Moulton.
Pallbearers were Ken Stewart, Sterling Warren Jr., Victor McDaniel, Norman Sharpley, Harold Warren and Otis Barnes.
Bettie McDonald
73, retired secretary
Memorial service for Bettie McDonald, 73, of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Summer Manor community room with the Rev. Ron Reinhardt officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. McDonald died Jan. 19, 2000, at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1926, in Waynesboro, Va., to Fred and Margaret Deadrick. She was a retired secretary and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Bobby McDonald of Jackson, Tenn.; two daughters, Becki McGuyre of Danville and Debbie Gulledge of Birmingham; two brothers, Billy Deadrick of Navarre, Fla., and Jimmy Deadrick of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Hope Farr and Ann Baker, both of Waynesboro; and two grandchildren.

ATHENS -- Funeral for Dovie Eugenia Sims, 88, of Athens was Thursday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Arvid McGuire officiating.
Burial was in Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sims died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born Jan. 30, 1912, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Carriger Church of Christ. She was the widow of George Winford Sims and the mother of the late Larry Sims and Morris Sims.
She is survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Stinnett, Avery Noblitt, Gideon Flanagan, Dan Stinnett, Anthony Stinnett and Zane Stinnett.
Evelyn G. Sivley

Ms. Sivley died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. She was born Oct. 14, 1910, in Morgan County, to Annie Elizabeth Crow Sivley and William Eugene Sivley Sr. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Charles Hardwick Company.
She was the sister of the late William Eugene Sivley Jr., Edward F. Sivley, two sisters, Beatrice S. Hornish and Frances S. Odell.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth S. Glenn of Hillsboro and Annie Laura Sivley of Decatur.
Nephews will be pallbearers.

Mr. Spence died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Hamilton Hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Giles County, Tenn., to Claudia Stewart Spence and Charles Frank Spence. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was an automobile and mobile home salesman.
He is survived by one son, Greg Spence of Decatur; his mother of Hartselle; and two grandsons.

Mrs. Tapscott died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born Nov. 22, 1920, in Jefferson County to Hershal and Anita Teresa Leach. She was a homemaker and a member of Eagle's Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Herbert E. Tapscott of Hartselle and Frank L. Tapscott of Decatur; one brother, Tom Leach of Hoover; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Clara Horn Austin

Mrs. Austin died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at home. She was born May 8, 1933, in Decatur to Walter and Lucille Corum Horn. She was a 1952 graduate of Decatur High School and a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and Emblem Club 655. She was the sister of the late Fred Horn and the late Jerry Horn.
She is survived by her husband, William T. "Bill" Austin; four sons, Steve Ward and Tim William Austin, both of Decatur, William Stanley Austin of Somerville and Rusty Austin of Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Carol Jean Austin Montgomery of Decatur and Mary Austin White of Fort Payne; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Mr. Foster died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Burns Nursing Home in Russellville. He was born Jan. 8, 1907, in Lawrence County to Robert and Lucindy Eady Foster . He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the David Temple Primitive Baptist Church, where he served on the deacon board. He was a member of the Ascension Masonic Lodge No. 72.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Foster ; four sons, Lesley G. Foster of Chattanooga, Robert G. Foster of Wadsworth, Ill., Major B. Foster of Libertyville, Ill., and Frederick J. Foster of Hillsboro; one daughter, Kay F. Horton of Decatur; three sisters, Mary F. Ennix, Hazella Walker and Queen Davis, all of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Garner died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at home. She was born June 18, 1910, in Lawrence County to Henry Bascom and Missouri Elizabeth South Turner. She was a homemaker and a member of Truth Baptist Church. She was the widow of Timmons Garner and the mother of the late Robert Garner, the late Leon Garner and the late Alton Garner.
She is survived by four sons, Ray Garner of Conroe, Texas, Glen Garner of California, Joe Garner of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Junior Garner of Woodstock; three daughters, Pat Wilson of Athens, Elizabeth Holt of Houston and Mary Rowley of Conroe, Texas; one sister, Mae Hargrove of Pensacola, Fla.; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lakey died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. He was born Feb. 6, 1922, to Ed and Mattie White Lakey. He served in the Navy during World War II and retired as a craftsman die engineer from General Motors in Detroit after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of McGlamery Community Church, Masonic Lodge No. 702 and the Al Menah Temple of Nashville, and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was the father of the late Dwight Lakey and the late David Lakey and the brother of the late Copeland Lakey.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Rich Lakey; one daughter, Delia Griffin of Tucker, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Wanda Butler of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; one brother, Bill Lakey of Decatur; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Leonard L. 'Train' McDonald

Mr. McDonald died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born April 3, 1914, in Morgan County to William Frank McDonald Sr. and Ida Mae Horton McDonald. He was a member of Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He retired as a feed stacker at ConAgra.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Pearl Cain McDonald of Decatur; one daughter, Lorene Roberts of Decatur; one sister, Mattie L. Gill of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Darden, Curtis Fletcher, John Love, Larry McDonald, Val Harvey, Sonny Caudle, Larry Sandifer and Ricky Neville.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Cary Owens; one son, Pete Owens of Decatur; two daughters, Norma Oglesby of Somerville and Joan Turner of Denison, Texas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
